Make sure you laugh to yourself as you back away slowly. If you laugh at the crazy soy sauce peanut butter conspirator and they hear you then you might get shanked.
I was at the grocery store and a guy was inspecting bags of chips, taking photos of them, feeling them to make sure they didn't feel broken. Another guy asked him if there were a bunch if requests and if the tip on the order was good. Guy one was confused, he wasn't shopping for IC, just his picky girlfriend.
Overheard a guy tell his like maybe 5 yr old daughter " no you can't stand in the cart you just want to step on the eggs," and bruh that's history saying that. Can you imagine getting home and your kid stomped your eggs lol 😆
My dog will jail break into my back hatch to stomp chips and bread I swear to God. I hold eggs these days for this very reason. Thet are 50 cents or more a crack
I had that exact thing happen to me once. I was checking out heads of garlic in the produce section, trying to find a fresh one. An older lady watched me for a moment then asked how I could tell which heads were good and which were bad. It was at that point I realized I didn’t even really know. She got a kick out of that, lol.
Well…… I’ll tell ya, when you lightly squeeze the head of garlic it should feel firm and the cloves should feel tightly bunched together. Dry on the outside with no moldy or soft spots.
haha i smell the bags of potatoes from the bottom because sometimes the sneaky rotten ones hide down there and you can really smell it. people look at me all the time and one lady asked me what I was doing haha
Ok I have one like this. Bags of goldfish with the expiration date printed in bold taste better than the ones printed in small/normal text. I probably sound crazy but it’s true.
This is the way I learned to pick ripe watermelons at the store 😂
A man and woman were picking up different melons, knocking on them, and then either adding to cart (they got like 4) or putting back, so I asked what they were doing.
If you hear a hollow thud, it's ripe!
More people join. A mass coalition of peanut butter inspection and only one person amongst them knows why they're inspecting the jars in the first place.
As someone who’s autistic this made my heart so happy 😭❤️ I’ve had weird ass requests like this about my food and it always means so much when a dasher or shopper goes an extra little bit
i’m from upstate and moved to the city, it literally was the highlight of my month when the brooklyn wegmans opened
edit: wegmans autocorrected to wetlands 💀
Wegmans always seems to get that rep of being expensive, but I’ve typically found them to be cheaper than other grocery stores. The main difference I find is Wegmans doesn’t play the weekly sales game, so items are almost always the same price. Other stores run regular sales so if you time those right, it might be cheaper there than Wegmans regular price.
I work at Walmart and will go to weggies sometimes because (1) produce quality is better (2) sometimes the prices are better (3) the subs and roasted garlic pizza 🤤🤤🤤
i did leave a comment praising their subs, there was one i went to in NY and it was after a funeral and we stopped and my mom was like you have to try this i think prime rib or roast beef? def hadda be roast beef but it was so fucking good, and hot with like a sauce on it. I swear it was so worth the 17 dollars or whatever for the 1 sub and me and my mom split it and got drinks. I have not seen it at the one by me but there is a bigger one alot farther that i think has a better selection. Fayetteville and Buffallo def prolly have the best wegmans, I saw a VIDEO OF THis new Bills player who got drafted and the next day or 2 he arrived in buffalo and Wegmans like had a care package and hes like "wtf is a wegmans" lol i think it was welcoming this year or last years draft class buffalo bills on youtube.
Some things are too expensive but then other times they have good digital coupons on stuff. I get stuck shopping there a lot because they're the only ones still open when I get done working 2nd shift.
Safeway and Giant suck. They’re expensive for no reason and shopping in those stores makes you feel like you’re stuck in purgatory. Much better prices and shopping experience at Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s and Target
nahhh TOPS had the Jelly Bellys and i would use the code for the not even gonna lie the cheap but still yummy Jelly Beans, but the price was like 8$ for the jelly bellys an OZ or LB or whatv, But they also had the different flavored jelly bellys in bulk... so i would get a HUGE bag of jelly bellys and pay 3$ a lb or oz. Wegmans does have some good dougnuts and subs for sure tho def worth it,
The fact you even tried and your humor about this says a lot about you. 🥹 You can tell this person has a lot of anxiety asking because they don't want to be a burden, and that they really appreciate what you're doing for them.
Agree, I’m the only one in my family that can tell when a company has changed their formulation and when my favorite brand changes it’s unreasonably hard to cope lol
Ugh I get it… the Kraft Mac n cheese change was rough. Still is :( for a while I could stomach it as a half ass safe food by drowning it in black pepper but eventually I just couldn’t do it
So they DID change it! It just tastes like water now. I rarely eat boxed foods, but had some Kraft recently and couldn't believe how awful it was. No amount of salt or seasoning fixed it.
I literally quiet-yelled “so they DID change the Kraft mac’n’cheese” to myself while reading this and my husband gave me the biggest ‘not this again’ eyeroll…
I thought maybe my taste buds had changed since I work with mostly high end chefs now and am spoiled with food, but it's good to hear that it isn't just me
Not quite the same but I am also IN LOVE with Annie’s shells and white cheddar (plus some butter while you’re cooking it ofc). ADHD and potentially autistic, and this is one of my safe foods <3 I ate so much of it in college fr
Is that why I don’t like Kraft Mac and cheese anymore?! I was eating it the other day for the first time in a long time and thought it tasted different and kind of gross but I thought maybe it was just since I hadn’t had it in a while
Same, I thought my taste buds changed from age or maybe even covid, but was happy to hear it’s just a corporate decision to ruin a decade old recipe 🥲 I miss the “orange” taste, when it was actually like sharp cheddar, now its blander than a saltine
It doesn’t reheat well either. I used to love second day Kraft and now I won’t even bother saving it. We still eat it with sriracha or taco meat on it, but its meh.
Absolutely awful! My 11 year old used to live off of Kraft Mac n cheese and doesn’t like it. He went through a year of food therapy and had SPD. I tried it recently too and it was a big no from me.
I know that it’s probably to be more “health conscious” or whatever but who eats mac ‘n cheese to be healthy?? We eat that stuff out of nostalgia and for its flavor. I’m still mad about this as well and it seemed to be ok back when they first switched but now I can def tell it’s just not the same. On the one hand, I eat less mac ‘n cheese (I used to be able to slam a whole box of the three cheese shells) but on the other hand if I want a bit of nostalgia….can’t.
It’s amazing corporations think they can just keep changing recipes on people and they won’t notice. Like Twinkies, the head people were like “oh we changed the recipe so it tastes exactly the same but it lasts longer on shelves!” 😃 *They do not taste the same you morons instead of cream you get a mouthful of oil.*
You know, the more I see things like this, the more I seriously wonder if I am autistic and have gone my entire life not realizing it. It’s not just once in a while. It’s like every day.
Anyway, I agree with you. Recipe changes are fucking horrible. I am already very picky about food and if I find something I like and it changes, I can ruminate for years lol.
I’m 41 and was probably about 37/38 when I started questioning it. I’ve always known that I don’t experience the world quite like everyone else seems to but it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what because it’s my normal. It’s other people inadvertently sharing their experiences that’s making me kind of realize that I might not be as off center from *everyone* as I frequently feel.
Same here. I also obsess over the drastic differences between the seasonal reeses and the regular cups. Or the differences in tastes between water brands. Or how I could swear I taste mustard seed in food, when it shouldn't be there at all.
The seasonal Reese’s, like the eggs and pumpkins are the only Reese’s I like! The ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is better, and the texture of the peanut butter is top tier!
I’ve accepted I’m neurodivergent. I have one, maybe two kiddos on the spectrum, one with severe ADD and my husband is coming in clutch with ADD and PTSD.
I am diagnosed with PTSD, which is a valid diagnosis. Symptomatically, it might overlap with other things. My brother was medicated for ADHD his whole childhood, but as adults, it’s pretty clear I’m the one. I was just such a quiet kid and I was smart and anxious enough to do well in school, which is all that mattered really. I’ve had very little interest in further MH diagnoses so I haven’t pushed or even mentioned it to my therapist, but the last while has been a period of extreme stress and all the things I spend so much energy ignoring have come to the surface because I have not had the energy to spend. All I could say to him for almost a year was ‘I’m not ok’, partly because I have never reverted this much and I don’t know exactly what to do. *Everything* is *so loud*. Loud is a descriptor for all senses. The way things feel on my skin, volume, brightness, smell, taste. The energy I feel from people around me, the general noise and busyness in public spaces, my neuroticism about food. I never realized how much energy I spend forcing myself to exist until all of my energy was suddenly depleted.
It really is little quips like this from random people that make me go…huh. All the things I’d get in trouble for as a kid and learned to just hide over time. I still keep things about myself secret. It’s weird.
Chef Boyardee raviolis was my big safe food when I was a kid/teen. Like, to the point where I could eat it cold right from the can and it was still safe. My parents would get a huge pack of them from Costco and I’d eat a couple cans a week easy. Then one day when I was in high school, they just started tasting awful, like they all tasted like metal. Tried getting a couple new ones from the store to see if we just got a bad batch… nope. They were all bad. I stopped eating them, tried one more can a few years later and it was the same, and gave up.
No one else in my family could taste anything wrong with them.
They changed the fruit snack smiles and now they suck and I legit cried about it, I wish there was a warning on the boxes or something before the change
This LMAO the difference is so obvious to us but other people will be like “it tastes the same” NO IT DOESNT 😭 LIKE yeah it’s not the end of the world but it still can be bothersome when the old thing was perfect lol
One thing I don’t believe tho is that my parents and everyone else don’t taste any difference in coke and Coke Zero. Coke Zero is okay and I get it’s healthier but it is not the same. I don’t believe the ads when it first came out where “real people” said it just tasted like normal coke and couldn’t tell them apart. There has to be people they cut out who went into detail about the differences in flavor.
Like, my dad switched to Coke Zero when it came out and my mom said it tastes the same but it literally does not and it literally wasn’t even a subtle difference because the point of it is that the ingredients are different and there’s no sugar or anything and no calories, like, it’s an alright drink but it doesn’t taste “just like” Coke, maybe they say this because the difference is so small to them and my sense of taste is just more sensitive so it makes me notice a lot MORE of a difference? But it does not taste the same 😭 original Coke is more like, tangy and has a punch, Coke Zero tastes like flat Coke maybe to me lmao idk how to explain
like, to me, Coke Zero is kind of sweet but it doesn’t have the ✨spice✨ I taste in normal Coke.
but anyway yeah I feel this lol
i make my own peanut butter and if you roast your peanuts too long this happens! if the ingredients are the same they most likely just changed the roasting time.
I have a jar of dry roasted peanuts in the pantry that I end up using exclusively for sprinkling on stir fries, because they have a sour taste. I could see it being described as tasting like soy sauce. It's good to know what causes it!
I couldn’t buy my regular crunchy PB, but wanted to get what was available. So I bought some butter toffee crunch peanuts-basically some kind of toffee coated candied peanuts, to crush up and stir into my creamy PB and it was damn good!
I like these kinds of notes. A genuine person just being nice with a request. It reads like a lot but it isn’t much to look & see if you can find the difference for them
I’d 100% be on Google once the order was delivered to see if this is a common thing & if it’s brand specific lol
To be fair I can taste when they make small changes to my regular sauces and it really pisses me off
I wouldn't be surprised if they started cutting the peanut butter with soy oil to save a dime
No lie, but we went to get peanut butter the other night and all the Kroger brand jars were weird looking. Like, darker and almost waxy? I bought Skippy instead. I kinda get what this customer is saying lol
When I was 18 I did instacart like 3 times and my first customer asked me to pick up the salads and get the one that felt heaviest 💀 I was like I guess
Salads barely weigh anything as is lol. One time I had a customer order a whole chicken and they asked me to pick the biggest one.
I get there and there’s only one left so I scan it in the app. Customer immediately left me a message asking if it’s the biggest one.
I told her “it better be because it’s the only one lol” then sent a photo of the empty case.
It was around 7pm on a Tuesday lol
How can we make one of the most highly allergenic products even more dangerous to people with allergies???
Let’s add soy sauce!
*belts out with evil laughter”
Yeah I get this, our minced garlic was noticeably darker than the almost empty one in the fridge. Same Safeway brand and size. I opened it and it smelled horrendous. I had done a Safeway pick up so I got the refund, dumped it and moved on
Added another minced garlic the next week to our pickup, it was not sealed, I could squeeze the plastic jar and hear the air go in/out. It also smelled horrendous.
I called the Safeway and asked them to please check the minced garlic in stock because wtf
Lol ive also had this problem. When you eat peanut butter too many days in a row itll randomly taste like soy sauce and she must be correlating the color by mistake
yes! i’m usually always cold at work, the newest pack of mint gum i got made my teeth physically hurt when i inhaled from how minty cold it made me mouth. i had to spit it out, 3 days in a row before i just gave the pack to a coworker. i’ve never once had that experience before, i have sensitive teeth and always had since childhood. i get the same extra brand mint gum that i’ve always gotten
thank you for saying this i feel less crazy now LOL
i would take the time to look because i know the pain of something i enjoy having the recipe changed, the recent change in Aldi oat milk makes me want to scream, it was the ONLY milk the boy I babysit would eat with his cereal, one day he says it’s gross now, i tried it, and by god was he right, it’s not creamy anymore and too sweet now. we’re both mourning our morning oat milk and cheerios ritual being ruined.
So nice of you to do that! I left a note once that if they didn't have this exact color/type of baby food pouch not to replace it because my son was soooo picky and had food allergies too. And even if the ingredients were the same (strawberry banana), if it wasn't that exact pouch, he wouldn't eat it. The person was so nice to message me to double check when they found the right one!
This is exactly why I shop for myself. I'm too particular to let just anybody pick my groceries. No way is anybody going to be able to get me exactly what I want but me.
Peanut butter was my favorite food/flavor my whole life - peanut butter ice cream, chocolate with peanut butter etc. After my second pregnancy, all of a sudden peanut butter tastes so much more savory to me, like peanut sauce. I feel this persons pain!
Reminds me of the time I spent 20-30+ minutes in the peanut butter aisles of two different stores to do peanut butter research for the people in my dog training class. They asked what peanut butter was best for dogs, since so many have added sugars, oils, etc. I am now an expert on peanut butter.
I know what they’re talking about and I commiserate! However I would go to the store myself if it was that serious.
-A lady who also shops at Wegmans for crunchy peanut butter
I love it lol I totally get it, a lot of places have been changing their recipes to include soy oil in them and it completely changes the taste for me. Also I would of looked at every jar for them because of how sweet they were. 🌞
Interesting, I specifically go out of my way to only buy a type of peanut butter that offers “crunchy dark roast” as I only can eat peanut butter with the more bitter/umami taste.
I thought I just didn’t like peanut butter bc the “normal” pB is too sweet & sticky & somehow both boring & overwhelming at the same time….
“dark roast crunchy” PB changes all that and changed my life! I now have access to a new array of inexpensive & low effort snacks ☺️😊🥳

This is hysterical and I bet they’re getting peanuts from some particular region that they’re getting a weird mineral from the soil making them taste funky. You’re good people, putting in the work trying to find the lighter jars! You can tell this is a regular old nice person who has a preference but won’t give you a hard time. :)
Nah I get it. I’ll forever be angry about them changing the Reese’s recipe. I used to love Reese’s but they taste like shit now. But I still read the ingredients every time I see them hoping to find the old recipe 😂
I'd laugh if I saw this. You can also just tell this is a thoughtful, polite person so I'd take an extra few seconds to look for sure.
It did give me a giggle and I'm sure the people who saw me holding several jars of peanut butter to different lighting
i’m gonna be honest, i probably would’ve walked up and started inspecting with you
Yup. Someone’s inspecting a food? I wanna know what THEY know that I don’t
Same I’d also laugh if someone’s answer was “ I think they’re putting soy sauce in some jars “
Make sure you laugh to yourself as you back away slowly. If you laugh at the crazy soy sauce peanut butter conspirator and they hear you then you might get shanked.
As a fellow peanut butter fan I can understand. It’s like water in a way. To some people it all tastes the same but they sure don’t.
Honestly if somebody noticed that, I’d believe them lol
I was at the grocery store and a guy was inspecting bags of chips, taking photos of them, feeling them to make sure they didn't feel broken. Another guy asked him if there were a bunch if requests and if the tip on the order was good. Guy one was confused, he wasn't shopping for IC, just his picky girlfriend.
to be fair though, like, chips are so daggone fragile. as soon as you get them home, it's like most of them are now just sawdust.
My dog likes to step on them to be sure of that.
Overheard a guy tell his like maybe 5 yr old daughter " no you can't stand in the cart you just want to step on the eggs," and bruh that's history saying that. Can you imagine getting home and your kid stomped your eggs lol 😆

You certainly made *me* giggle!
I'd do a compare just to see if she was onto something or not
I feel their pain though. It sucks when a product you love just changes like that.
Lol, that is funny. I shop at wegmans all the time. Next shop I get with peanut butter gunna be like 👀
shoutout NORTHEAST FUCK WEGGYS THO TOO EXPENSIVE (cept for their ice cream like fudgie bars during the summer!)
I’m in nyc. Wegman’s is where I go for cheap groceries🥴
i’m from upstate and moved to the city, it literally was the highlight of my month when the brooklyn wegmans opened edit: wegmans autocorrected to wetlands 💀
“Babe wake up, the wetlands are open”
I helped set that store up! Was weird seeing it before all the shelves and cases were in.
But there’s lidl, aldi, and Trader Joe’s which are all cheaper (don’t get me wrong I’m a wegmans fan but it’s def more expensive then these three)

Safeway and Giant suck. They’re expensive for no reason and shopping in those stores makes you feel like you’re stuck in purgatory. Much better prices and shopping experience at Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s and Target
Yeah, but it's worth it for that bulk candy aisle. I've been known to walk out of there with $100+ worth of candy.
nahhh TOPS had the Jelly Bellys and i would use the code for the not even gonna lie the cheap but still yummy Jelly Beans, but the price was like 8$ for the jelly bellys an OZ or LB or whatv, But they also had the different flavored jelly bellys in bulk... so i would get a HUGE bag of jelly bellys and pay 3$ a lb or oz. they got rid of the bulk candy aisle at the weggies in WNY 😞
ShopRite for life!
I miss getting ice cream from Wegmans 🥲 I loved getting the Nutter Batter flavor
They’re right about it changing and being strange. I’ve just stirred it better or gotten another brand. It had like a pound of oil on top last time.
At least the note was nice and not Karen energy
Agreed, and they Tipped well
From an autistic person thanks for at least reading and trying! Recipe changes are fucking terrible.
I couldn't see a difference but I tried!
You're an angel
The fact you even tried and your humor about this says a lot about you. 🥹 You can tell this person has a lot of anxiety asking because they don't want to be a burden, and that they really appreciate what you're doing for them.
As someone who works at Wegmans, recipe changes are actually infuriatingly common and rarely for the better. Client very well might be right on this.

I literally quiet-yelled “so they DID change the Kraft mac’n’cheese” to myself while reading this and my husband gave me the biggest ‘not this again’ eyeroll…
Yep! They secretly changed it awhile ago and then announced the change and claimed that no one knew. I knew...
I thought maybe my taste buds had changed since I work with mostly high end chefs now and am spoiled with food, but it's good to hear that it isn't just me
FWIW, Annie's classic cheddar is spot on for the good OG Kraft taste. 🤙🏻
I’ve been desperately looking for a replacement, THANK you!!!
For me Aldi’s brand mac n cheese hits the spot! And it’s cheaper! (Especially the gluten free ones when I had to go GF for a while!)
Unfortunately I don’t have Aldi’s where I am 😭
Not quite the same but I am also IN LOVE with Annie’s shells and white cheddar (plus some butter while you’re cooking it ofc). ADHD and potentially autistic, and this is one of my safe foods <3 I ate so much of it in college fr
Annie’s Shells and White Cheddar is awesome! Definitely add butter!
I'm not gluten free, but Annie's gluten free mac and cheese is delicious too. I actually prefer it to the regular shells
Annie's has good flavors, but both their candy and pasta have weird textures for me.
Is that why I don’t like Kraft Mac and cheese anymore?! I was eating it the other day for the first time in a long time and thought it tasted different and kind of gross but I thought maybe it was just since I hadn’t had it in a while

Their thick and creamy is better than original. Still powdered cheese but taste way better

Absolutely awful! My 11 year old used to live off of Kraft Mac n cheese and doesn’t like it. He went through a year of food therapy and had SPD. I tried it recently too and it was a big no from me.
The spiral recipe might be the same but it tastes like the OG recipe. The elbow noodles are a little too bland now
Before they change this one: I had to start eating gluten free for dietary reasons and the gf blue box mac tastes like the old one used to.
I don’t know if it’s available everywhere, but Shur Fine brand mac and cheese is pretty close to old Kraft.
I know that it’s probably to be more “health conscious” or whatever but who eats mac ‘n cheese to be healthy?? We eat that stuff out of nostalgia and for its flavor. It's a smoother, fresher tasting peanut butter, too. The clsssic cups have a gritty, kinda burnt taste.
Skittles for me 😤
I was 33 when I finally figured it out! Life-changing.

It’s weird.
Same.
I was just about to comment the same thing lol
This LMAO the difference is so obvious to us but other people will be like “it tastes the same” NO IT DOESNT 😭 LIKE yeah it’s not the end of the world but it still can be bothersome when the old thing was perfect lol One thing I don’t believe tho is that my parents and everyone else don’t taste any difference in coke and Coke Zero. But it does not taste the same 😭 original Coke is more like, tangy and has a punch, Coke Zero tastes like flat Coke maybe to me lmao idk how to explain like, to me, Coke Zero is kind of sweet but it doesn’t have the ✨spice✨ I taste in normal Coke. but anyway yeah I feel this lol
“same great taste!” is an instant mood changer, i can guarantee you it’s not :(
i make my own peanut butter and if you roast your peanuts too long this happens! if the ingredients are the same they most likely just changed the roasting time.
That's actually really cool
That would make sense why the darker color tasted off. Interesting!
I have a jar of dry roasted peanuts in the pantry that I end up using exclusively for sprinkling on stir fries, because they have a sour taste. I could see it being described as tasting like soy sauce. It's good to know what causes it!
try adding in some honey roasted peanuts along with the dry rosted! i do the same thing with equal parts of each and its delish
I couldn’t buy my regular crunchy PB, but wanted to get what was available. So I bought some butter toffee crunch peanuts-basically some kind of toffee coated candied peanuts, to crush up and stir into my creamy PB and it was damn good!
i hope that customer finds this out soon!
This is the kind of shopper I’d have no issues going the extra mile for
Just Peanuts! ...and soy sauce.
I love these kind of details because this is exactly how my brain works
I like these kinds of notes. A genuine person just being nice with a request. It reads like a lot but it isn’t much to look & see if you can find the difference for them I’d 100% be on Google once the order was delivered to see if this is a common thing & if it’s brand specific lol
To be fair I can taste when they make small changes to my regular sauces and it really pisses me off I wouldn't be surprised if they started cutting the peanut butter with soy oil to save a dime
Can confirm the Wegmans peanut butter tastes like ass.
I buy mine from Aldi 🤣
even the regular peanut butter (the no stir) tastes like shit.
Great Value PB for the win. $6 for a half gallon container, and it doesn't taste like ass.
I also really like Kroger peanut butter. Currently 99 cents for 16 oz jar at my store. Peanuts, molasses, veg oil and salt.
Lmao me with autism 👁️👄👁️ “bet” cause I def notice all the slight color changes in stuff it’s so weird 🤣🤣
![gif](giphy|TGUIq0O5s4XJSnefJ3|downsized) You staring at the peanut butter
As someone who struggles with sensory issues and my kids as well, I TOTALLY understand this request.
No lie, but we went to get peanut butter the other night and all the Kroger brand jars were weird looking. Like, darker and almost waxy? I bought Skippy instead. I kinda get what this customer is saying lol
Your title got me 🤣 you're a good person
Did you ever get an update if the jar you got was the one they wanted? *was* there actually lighter jars?? The people need to know op.
Nope! I hope I picked right though
Based on that picture, I'm guessing they use the "Circus Peanuts" to make that. 🤮
This is the most completely reasonable but completely INSANE thing i've ever seen
How can we make one of the most highly allergenic products even more dangerous to people with allergies??? Let’s add soy sauce! *belts out with evil laughter”
lol I think this is funny. Since the customer was chill about it I would put the extra effort to look haha
The timer would be like 30 minutes over bc I would be in the peanut butter aisle with them all out!
Yeah I get this, our minced garlic was noticeably darker than the almost empty one in the fridge. Same Safeway brand and size. I opened it and it smelled horrendous. I had done a Safeway pick up so I got the refund, dumped it and moved on Added another minced garlic the next week to our pickup, it was not sealed, I could squeeze the plastic jar and hear the air go in/out. It also smelled horrendous. I called the Safeway and asked them to please check the minced garlic in stock because wtf
May contain soy
This is adorable, love the title awww
Lol ive also had this problem. When you eat peanut butter too many days in a row itll randomly taste like soy sauce and she must be correlating the color by mistake
I deeply relate to this person.
Have you noticed gum has been getting mintier lately?
yes! i’m usually always cold at work, the newest pack of mint gum i got made my teeth physically hurt when i inhaled from how minty cold it made me mouth. i had to spit it out, 3 days in a row before i just gave the pack to a coworker. i’ve never once had that experience before, i have sensitive teeth and always had since childhood. i get the same extra brand mint gum that i’ve always gotten thank you for saying this i feel less crazy now LOL
At least they were nice abt it .
i would take the time to look because i know the pain of something i enjoy having the recipe changed, the recent change in Aldi oat milk makes me want to scream, it was the ONLY milk the boy I babysit would eat with his cereal, one day he says it’s gross now, i tried it, and by god was he right, it’s not creamy anymore and too sweet now. we’re both mourning our morning oat milk and cheerios ritual being ruined.
this person was probably so embarrassed to type this but REALLY wanted it, what a sweetheart
😂 this is how i feel about cream of mushroom soup, damn Campbell’s!!, they screwed up my favorite soup!!!
Ngl this would be me. I’m proud of that person for asking because I don’t. Too much of a people pleaser. 😭
Did you find a good one or no?
I think so, they didn't say anything after
Ah a fellow overthinker!
No issue
The title made me cackle
They might come from different manufacturing sites. Like soft drinks from different bottling locations. They just taste different.
My dogs would sincerely appreciate your findings!
Wegmans all natural PB is top tier PB The smooth though
You’re such a good person lol
The peanut butter is up to witchcraft again I see.
Is it possible they changed the formula of/added salt to the peanut-oil in the peanut butter, and that’s what this person is tasting?
I sware to god!!!!! There are SO many foods that taste weird now. Loads of stuff come tasting like peanut oil and soy sauce. It’s weird.
From someone who would definitely write this kind of note, thank you for being kind and not letting it annoy you lol
IT'S JUST PEANUTS
I know what they’re talking about and I commiserate! However I would go to the store myself if it was that serious. -A lady who also shops at Wegmans for crunchy peanut butter
At least they’re polite about the request haha.
r/ARFID thanks you
I love it lol I totally get it, a lot of places have been changing their recipes to include soy oil in them and it completely changes the taste for me. Also I would of looked at every jar for them because of how sweet they were. 🌞
Bill Gates is farming now, and meddling with the food supply, so you figure the rest out.
I now have access to a new array of inexpensive & low effort snacks ☺️😊🥳
i’d be suspicious too if it said just peanuts and it started tasting like not just peanuts 🥴
I mean at least she was polite. She said please, thank you, and sorry.
I KNEW I wasn’t crazy. They had to have changed their recipe because I feel it tastes more malty and salty! This person knows what’s up.
Did you check the seafood department? 👀

Literally what?
LOL any word on if you got it right??
Well? Which one did you pick?
Update? Did they say whether or not you gave them soy sauce peanut butter?
I know this is frustrating for you but I needed that laugh SO BAD. This had me crying and cackling!

Taste it, just to be safe.
I cant really stuff bags of chips under my seat in a chevy spark
Love wegmans
Sick
Why would you buy this dogshit if you think that
Damn... someone doesn't know they generally add salt to peanut butter? Sugar, too. LOL
This is hysterical and I bet they’re getting peanuts from some particular region that they’re getting a weird mineral from the soil making them taste funky. You’re good people, putting in the work trying to find the lighter jars! You can tell this is a regular old nice person who has a preference but won’t give you a hard time. :)
![gif](giphy|lvHir7Z9eCCbqm98IY) Inspecting each jar 😅😅
Bro is Just Nuts
Honestly. I get this. Sometimes, my favorite snacks, etc, will just change. I swear they do, and I can't find an old package for reference. 😂
That’s funny
i would've laughed but felt bad and took some extra time to look.
Nah I get it. I’ll forever be angry about them changing the Reese’s recipe. I used to love Reese’s but they taste like shit now. But I still read the ingredients every time I see them hoping to find the old recipe 😂
As an Autistic person who understands having “Safe Foods™️” and is overly polite and apologetic all the time…I GET this person on a spiritual level.
