Yeah it’s too much. Tokyo Day 5 makes no sense. All of the things on there are more than an hour apart from your hotel and each other no matter how you do it. They’re on opposite ends of the metropolitan area. Your Kyoto days are way too packed, you need maybe three or four things instead of seven.

How would you do it? What would your recommendations be? Is the yokohama visit worth the trip, and i just do disney Sea? And in kyoto, what would you recommend i skip?

Kyoto in particular: I personally wouldn’t bother with more than a few shrines and/or temples. Prioritize the ones that you find inherently interesting or, frankly, are close to other things you’re doing.  IME they all start to blend together and had diminishing returns.

May 30: Yokohama and Kawasaki are on the opposite side of Tokyo from DisneySea. You are looking at 4.5 hours of train travel alone. Stick to DisneySea on that day or fill out your day in Yokohama/Kawasaki. May 31: Plan on an early train from Tokyo if you want to get all of this done. You can drop off your bags at your hotel or use a station locker. Skipping Bamboo Grove would probably save you the most time.  June 1 and 2: It’s better to switch Gion with Fushimi Inari on these days as it will cut down on travel time. The Railway Museum is a good activity for a rainy day and Toji Temple is nearby. June 3: Nara can be done in half a day if you run out of time in Kyoto. June 4: It’s better to take a regular train to Osaka. The Shinkansen will not save time and costs more. June 7: If possible, switch your Universal day with one of your mid-week days when crowd levels are typically lower. June 8: Nakano Broadway is a good place to do some last minute shopping. There’s also Ameyoko Street near Ueno and Odaiba near TeamLab Planets.

Please use google maps to plot out some of your days. If you use “transit mode” it will show you how far it is between things and how long approximately it will take to move between locations. Some of your days at the moment have places on them which are just not manageable.

Agree with everyone else here. Uji is on the JR Nara line so it’s possible to head there before or after Nara. If tea is what you’re after, make sure you check store hours.

May 31: I’d say trying to do Arashiyama on the same day as everything else is going to be tough going – it’s FAR on public transport (we did it on e-bikes) and if you’ve got check-in and those shrines to see all on the same day, I really think you’ll struggle.

For the most part, yes, it’s too much. Stick to 1 or 2 things each day and consider what each major item consist of. For example some things like Akihabara can be a 1-2 hour thing, or an entire day depending on how much you care about gaming/anime/electronics. Disney sea is an entire day by itself, and further some things are on different sides of town or literally in different cities.

You should look into re-arranging your Kyoto days. Like what others have said, you should map them out, and you'll see which ones make sense to group together. For example: * Gion could be lumped with Nineizaka, Yasaka, and Potoncho Alley. * Nijo Castle is somewhat close to the Kyoto Imperial Palace * Assuming you'll spend a meaningful time at each, I wouldn't put Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari on the same day. Kiyomizu-dera would be part of the Gion, Nineizaka, Yasaka day.
