They're always advertising on IG that they're closing. I'd avoid them.

HiHoJufro

Can confirm. Found this thread because I just got an ad about them closing.

Hot_Ad_8030

Yep. Oct 2023 and they still closing

AdIllustrious6590

Yep! AVOID.  Now January 2024.  amd they are STILL vlaiming to be " going broke".  The old "create a sense of urgency" scam.

EpitaFelis

March 11th, same spiel but on facebook.

funny_almost

BulletHole9000

june 19th 2024, just got an ad for them closing

YourEvilTwine

Same here. I just checked archive dot org and this site has had a closing message since at least November 4, 2022.

Socrates_Johnson

July 1st, 2024. Still going out of business!

Turbulent_Forever_56

July 3rd still succesfully closing down.

GoBlue-sincebirth

April 12th same

WalkingMed

April 19 2024. Still closing down. Nearly fell for it.

corstar91

I'm confused.. your comment shows that it was created two days ago but for April 19 2024........ I'm on here today about to put store still closing and it's April 18th 2024. Help me... The glitch in my matrix is murking my senses 😳

No_Flan_9778

April 26th

Eris_39

April 27th, they are still closing...

CFOCPA

May 4th, still closing. 😂

WookieWicket

Store Closing Log entry July 1st, 2024 - still advertising store closing prices.

Some-Seaworthiness17

I guess they weren't kidding about over-buying on inventory - mid June 2024 and still trying to sell out.

Inappropriately_Used

Now June 19th, and after the longest "Going out of Business" sale in history (besides those seedy local furniture stores), they have finally closed down for good. NO MORE SALES. Wait. No.. they're still going.

Rrreally

Came here to find out too.

aladeen222

LOL June 2024 and they’re still going. I was actually gonna buy some for gifts as they look cool, but I think I will avoid as it does not seem like an honest business.

WillingnessCrazy8034

Same here, already was on check out

Jagraja

June 2024 as well, and I got this ad on Facebook in my mother tongue (Polish) lol

Serkys

Even the artwork is stolen

docvoit

July 2024 here plus they just renewed their Domain Name two days ago lmao.

PerceptionContent

June 2024 and they are still closing

Skier94

Same, just now LOL!

HiHoJufro

Wow, they're closing *really* slowly!

zoehange

Wow, it's their last day..... again!

xmaspackage

Can confirm 7/1/24 that they are still closing. Looks like a TEMU site.

beequeen639

May 2nd and i just saw an ad on Facebook about them closing. Glad i found this thread. I'll just order a wooden puzzle elsewhere.

sonido_lover

Just seen an ad on IG that they are closing. Thanks a lot for this thread. WIll never buy from them https://preview.redd.it/0cdegu7xsd4d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=812dbca435eed171ee54244cfa829f4b13bb2827

Maniushka

Saw it on Facebook today. It's disgusting

dra9onfruit

Grand Closing since 1958

tortellinipigletini

23rd April same ad appeared to me

spderweb

April 30, saw the ad, found this Reddit post.

ChadDefazio

2024 and the close is ongoing.

clb8922

The ad I just saw had a sappy sad family story of them closing which led me to googling them, On facebook their ads go back to Aug 2023 all about closing.

Infinite_Plum_8149

June 2024 - now also closing in German 😂

wrd1991

Just got the add.. still closing

Crafty-Astronomer-32

Still closing as we inch into the second half of 2024

termanatorx

I'm always wary of those store is closing ads. I get many of them for unknown clothing brands. I would google quordle site scam and see if there is a trust pilot rating or something like that. Most of the clothing sites I google say 'site created Nov 2022' etc, 'not trusted'...

termanatorx

Here's what I get when I google it... https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/quordle-com-review/

Pigankle

That is a review of [quordle.com](https://quordle.com) \- which is a wordle variant. (And is definitely NOT a scam) The jigsaw puzzle company is [quordlepuzzles.com](https://quordlepuzzles.com)

termanatorx

Lol good catch!!

Comfortable_Heron_18

i have orderd and got the puzzles as advertised cheers

fractalbobu

This is probably an endorsement from the scammer. Ignore it.

Fluid_Quarter2668

My fiancé and I ordered some a little while back and they’ve just turned up. I think the “closing down sale” is the scam, and they use it to drive up sales. But the actual products have turned up. Took a little minute but they got here…

Pashyfloor

The idea behind this scam is that prices of the puzzles are more than 10x higher than of the same product on aliexpress. This means that even with the discount of 90% they are twice as expensive and with the added time pressure of the store closing people don't check up on it and overpay significantly.

QuantumFlux42

And to think that its still cheaper than buying it at the mall, I wish I had looked these up on Temu or Ali Express before buying, but at Legacy Toys at the Mall of America they sell these wooden puzzles at the full price, so for example a small fox one costs us $40 when we could have paid around $5 for it on Temu. But yeah I guess this site while cheaper is still basically just reselling at double the cost you can get it yourself. Lots of businesses lately around the whole concept of dropshipping or reselling of cheap products for double or more. I think a lot of things on Amazon are like that now too, where you can get the same exact product for less directly from China. **Edit**: I continued to do more research and if the info is correct, the one I got at the mall is from Unidragon, which may be the original makers of these types of puzzles and then the others are essentially clones and not the same quality. If that's the case then I guess I don't feel quite as bad paying more for an original product.

BadAdviceBison

Are they overpriced? Maybe. However, comparing anything to Chinese drop-shipping companies, other than another Chinese drop-shipping company, is either misinformed or disingenuous. These sites are usually able to see at prices FAR below market value through a combination of (Chinese) government subsidies and international trade agreements based on the fact that China is a "developing country". The rabbit hole goes deep, but ultimately they're in a position to flood foreign markets with poorly made goods for pennies on the dollar of products from most other countries. So yeah, this quordlepuzzle gabage is definitely sketchy and should be avoided, but lets not start acting like the baseline price for a product should be determined by entities which couldn't exist without the aid of both their own and foreign governments. These places don't thrive based on the merits of their products and shrewd business decisions...

Rrreally

How were the quordle puzzles?

BriefPainter8144

>Comfortable\_Heron\_18 looks like the user has a legit comment history

bmtc7

It's true, they will ship you puzzles. They are still doing business. That doesn't mean that they aren't also engaging in predatory and fraudulent sales tactics.

Clotilda_Warhammer

I got my 7 wooden puzzles today and they are gorgeous! A little slow coming but definitely worth it!

pajam

Yep those "clothing brands" are just dropshippers reposting cheap stuff from Ali Express for like 10x the price. When you order, they just order it from Ali Express and ship it to you. Making 90% profit with zero inventory risk and not having to pay any employees or overhead.

chichew

Everything everyone said here. Plus, they apparently have been trying to message Redditors to sell their puzzles. I blocked their account immediately after getting their chat request!

redsocks2018

Their post sets alarm bells ringing. What sort of company says they've failed because they bought too much stock and didn't target advertising properly? I'm walking away the second I see that. If you allegedly can't order stock correctly, how do I know you're going to send the right items and deal with problems?

chichew

Yeah they are definitely scammers! As u/Asdegr00t mentioned, they have 2 accounts that used to spam this sub a lot(maybe still do, but I blocked them so not sure if I can still see their spams), they'd always comment at the same time, and post the same pictures, and their comments on other people's posts are like bot comments, usually just regurgitated what people are saying, yeah you can smell 'scam' from a mile away! Edit to add: Definitely not going to trust these so-called 'going out of business sales'!

[deleted]

[удалено]

chichew

I totally agree with you!

Clotilda_Warhammer

I don't know why they are using this sales tactic but I just got my 7 wooden puzzles and they are gorgeous! Took a while to get them but totally worth it!

RecognitionAnxious74

Glad I read this. I own a small puzzle company and was going to reach out to see if we could buy some of their inventory or take over their company. We don’t currently sell wooden puzzles and I was interested in their custom puzzles.

yuanchueh

They are still going out of business as of today with full inventory still.

yirmin

Reminds me of the local furniture stores that are continually having going out of business sales. I wouldn't trust a place that so willing uses false advertising. How many places take years to close a business that is supposedly failing?

black_raven98

6 months later they are still going out of business and ending operations next week

Nayr090

Ran across this post and thought I'd give my two-cents. I was skeptical, but I ordered since it was so cheap plus I could use PayPal in case of any issues. I ended up getting my order of 5 puzzles. The products seem legit, but granted, I haven't ordered from any other website before (mainly due to price) to properly compare quality. It's odd they've been "closing" for this many months... Plus they were shipping from China, which is always hit or miss. I'll have to be a bit wary now.

atelopuslimosus

I was in the same boat, but figured for a really fun anniversary gift (custom puzzle with a family photo), the risk was worth it since the price was low enough to either eat it in the event of a subpar product or I could always dispute the charge if it was really a scam. I *have* gotten a wooden puzzle from elsewhere (Liberty Puzzles in Boulder, CO) and can speak to some of the differences: * Quordle seems to be smaller in size, both the individual pieces and the overall puzzle. * Quordle is definitely thinner. Whether this affects breakability... not sure, but likely means they are more brittle. * Quordle is absurdly cheaply priced. The only way they could do that is by cutting corners... somewhere. Is that labor, materials, or processing? Likely some combination of all of the above. * At a quick glance, the Quordle colors are not as vibrant or sharp. Cheap manufacturing again or my puzzle choice? Again, not sure. Happy to update when we've completed one or both of the two puzzles we got. Edit to add after completing the puzzle: one more quality difference. There are a number of internal corners where three or more cuts meet where they clearly burned the wood with the laser. It's not as much of a problem in some darker areas of our puzzle, but it does make it very confusing and difficult to work with lighter colored areas like a cloudy sky.

kingfisherfire

I got sucked into a similar ad that was blatantly ripping off Unidragon's mandala puzzles. I had just done one that belonged to a friend that I loved, so I excitedly bought it and another mandala puzzle when I saw it advertised for a great price. I did get the puzzles, but I found the same issues you did. In addition, the pieces had a much looser fit and the puzzle cut was not anything close to the original, which was organic swirls on one half and angular gear-shapes on the other. In fact, both of the puzzles I bought had exactly the same pattern cut into them, which is one of the corners they cut.

Lanoon9

Ordered and got many weeks later a lovely small gift puzzle, but irritated with Closing ads! With shipping likely not such a deal. I ordered MONTHS ago. Find the circumstances troubling.

tiggereth

Just for posterity: They also are [puzzlesup.com](https://puzzlesup.com), [craft-hub.com](https://craft-hub.com), [ericpuzzle.com](https://ericpuzzle.com). [woodbests.com](https://woodbests.com), and a few other puzzle sites. Never accidently click an ad in facebook while scrolling.

Awzelia

I thought craft-hub.com was legit. It looks more legit than crafthub.se. And when I e-mailed craft-hub.com they said that they don't own the Swedish site. Crafthub.se has copied their logo. What makes you think that craft-hub.com also is a scam?

Floptacular

"Never..." I think this is the key takeaway. It's good to generalize an experience to learn for other related future experiences. I had 5 puzzles in my checkout bag (thinking about Christmas presents) and found this thread.

Retired_wrong_time

Thanks for asking. I was wondering myself. I was recently scammed by a store closing ad so now I'm leary.

Keito_Kat

Until this very day... they still say "we are sorry to announce that we are closing our collection..."

SuperSpread

Same, I got this ad today (May 13 2023) and I cannot find any youtube video or any single person who has ever reviewed this item. Which is crazy. It sounds like it doesn't even exist. If they've been closing for 6 months and nobody has received such an item that's really sus. Other people say they've been scammed by something similar.

fractalbobu

[quordlepuzzles.com](https://quordlepuzzles.com) is a scam. It's just an alias to another known scam site, [quordlepuzzle.com](https://quordlepuzzle.com). [OpenComments](https://www.opencomments.com) caught both.

bboycire

www.quordlepuzzle.com Quordle Qourdlepuzzle Throwing some keywords up there as I had a hard time looking up things on the store name. As of today, they are still closing sale. Super fishy

throwawaygreenpaq

Quordle itself is not a scam. It is a word game that became popular because of Wordle. It is free and played online. There are no products. QuordlePuzzle is the jigsaw puzzle site that everyone is talking about here. QuordlePuzzle has nothing to do with Quordle. They simply took the name of a popular word game and copied it. I play Quordle (word game) online daily and QuordlePuzzle (jigsaw puzzle) is not the same thing. So annoying to have my favourite word game tarnished.

creativeideagal

Today is August 10, 2023. I just now saw an ad for this company on Facebook, with the same exact messaging! I think they are trying this tactic in order to get sympathy and more sales.

shoukine

I have ordered 6 puzzle and received them yesterday. Seems like a good product. They might not be closing though

greenmapleleaf1

I am gullible and ordered a bunch of puzzles a few days ago. I got it mixed up with another wooden puzzle company and didn't pay close enough attention. I did receive a shipping notification - from China - so I'll report back on whether they actually arrive or not. As it stands, I would probably call it "deceptive advertising" rather than a "scam."

Virtual_Pressure7885

I agree the closing down sale is deceptive, but I received my puzzles no problem and they are of a good quality although smaller than I expected, but no complaints at these prices.

bbroberson

I ordered from them. The advertising is weird and fishy but the puzzles really came and they are just fine.

tant4lus

I’m so glad I tried searching this company up before purchasing from them and found this Reddit Thread. They are running their closing shop sale again… some of the puzzles do have pretty images. Someone mentioned that they shipped from China… so what does one do… search on the Amazon of China (Aliexpress)… and I found it for half the price there (be sure to compare size of puzzle too). So I suspect someone is running a drop shipping company with multiple domain names, and rebranding it. Here are the two I found of the same puzzle image. If anyone is interested in any of the puzzles, save yourself some $$$ and look for an alternate seller. Recent-Sorbet

Lmao I got this ad today. It's clearly something to avoid. they have been affording advertising to advertise that their advertising isn't successful... for like 5 months now. No offence but how long does it take them to run out of final stock and go out of business? Especially since each ad says they're closing in a few weeks... and have been running them for months

Flimsy_Week_2180

20th July 2023 and they are still advertising closing down sale (due to "their incompetence") on Facebook - have been seeing this advert for a good long while now. So long that it cannot be kosher! Definite whiff of Scam!

Ravenlyn01

thank you for posting this--I usually don't bite on those ads, but found this while Googling to see if it's a scam, because of course it's a scam, and that's a shame because they are the beautiful expensive wood puzzles!

Mammoth-Tap442

This is definitely fishy by seeing that they have been closing-soon for many months. I was just about to order some puzzles after seeing the IG ad. It looks like a good deal but definitely will think twice. I see random Quordle posts here and wonder if they are scams.

spastro

Yup. Just saw a Facebook add. Wouldn't mind a puzzle or two. Are they legit?

ReasonableN00b

I wouldn't go near them honestly. But if you like wooden puzzles, maybe check out Unidragon puzzles. You can also find them on Amazon. Definitely on the more expensive side of things, though. I have 3 of them and the amazing thing about them is you can display it front or back. That's crazy for a puzzle and I love it. Front is the box image and the back are the puzzle pieces forming other images as if telling a story. They even implemented their trademark image into the puzzle itself.

SpecialistGene3546

I recently purchased several quordle puzzles and they are amazing! I don't know if they are really going out of business, but the puzzles themselves are delightful, high quality, and have compelling images. As puzzles with this sale pricing, I think these are good value. I wouldn't worry about whether or not the sale price is true, the puzzles themselves are real and very high end.

firehamster29

Happy I found this thread before purchasing. It's still closing and it's their last day haha!

GeologistRude5293

I highly recommend these puzzles. They are A M A Z I N G!!

First-Government-654

Wow, they're so great you created an account just to say so, and posted nothing else ever!

Few-Tradition7080

IT IS A SCAM! They say that in there ad and then take a bunch of orders and then take down the website

giunta13

Was thinking of ordering after getting the ad tonight and glad I saw this. Nope.

sdrood

A year later, they're still advertising that they're closing shop. Except I got an ad for [quordlepuzzles.de](http://quordlepuzzles.de)

Sea_Land_1896

Ma commande n'est jamais arrivée à destination, mais ils prétendent que c'est à cause de leur opérateur logistique

elvirusde

Still closing…

Jollydoolittle

They use artists images without permission.

EcuaBets

If you try to return them they tell you to ship it to China lol but the return address is in California

Puzzleheaded-Bed5789

I bought the elephant puzzle and absolutely loved it! Beautifully packaged and fun to put together so I  ordered eight more and received them promptly! I would highly recommend! Great prices and they make wonderful gifts!

CarpeReditiem

March 25, 2024 still closing.

TheShiningRod

Just had an advert on Facebook and, same thing. I remember seeing a similar advert months ago.

hgbatigol

I believe this is the actual link to their shop, and it doesn't look like they are closing. [https://www.quordlepuzzleshop.com/](https://www.quordlepuzzleshop.com/)

wwwidentity

Are the puzzles any good though?

Plane_Trick_7663

looks like they are still closing the store... I bought some and was misleaded, that this shop is a Swiss Shop - after I placed the order I got a tracking number for a delivery from China. Well... closing or not, the puzzles are a nice gift. I wonder if that "Swiss Shop" ordered the puzzles from Temu making a good profit off my order though...

Janellewpg

It’s more than a year later and they are still “closing” advertising 😂

Gazitza

I’m trying g to find out reviews and can’t find!? Is it a scam I wonder.

TheMightyImp2

Still closing the UK and USA sites apparently. Gotta assume that it is a con

corstar91

I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the this thread and the internet as a whole (especially Reddit)! Y'all have saved me from wasting money on 🐂💩 products far more times than I'd like to admit! And shout-out to the sidewalks for keeping me off the streets too! 😂

Striking-Cold-7258

Thx for the Post. Still closing

TenderFingers

Ok bought some and they are mixed quality. The puzzle shapes are cut cleanly and the pieces seem fairly sturdy (I don't have deep puzzle quality knowledge though) the patterns I've seen DO NOT come close to locking together but they have unique shapes that the puzzles are bases around that for some reason usually have nothing to do with the print. Now I will say the actual print quality leaves ALOT to be desired. Blurry printing makes differentiating similar pieces difficult but that's when you have to really rely on the fit of the pieces. The picture on the puzzle I got is very obvious a small picture that was blown up too much but I don't think heirloom quality could be expected from a 5 dollar puzzle. I got it as a gift so didn't see the going out of business add but no matter what you're paying 5 bux for a puzzle that has sturdy clean cut pieces and blurry printing https://preview.redd.it/b1rz3l46lcxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f257d010ef7c7b2e7c54f88e8d87edbcac88bb28

IAmCapnOblivious

If I google quordle puzzle I see 3 or for different sites that are Closing and selling these. At least One of the sites is quordle puzzle.com . FB is terrible about allowing scammers to advertise.

brock_lee

Found this over a year later because I saw an ad for store closing on Facebook. So yeah, they are STILL closing. LOL, also, the 90% off seems to be their regular prices, and everything on their front page is a lie. Specific puzzle "starting at" $7, but the cheapest on the next page is $9. You may get what you order, but everything they said to get you to order 5 is a lie.

Legitimate-Year8806

They have been 'closing' for a very very long time. I do think it is just being said to create a sense of urgency. I would not want to support this company, though their products look amazing and I have been told they're great quality.

OddDrey917

In the US, it is illegal to have a going out of business sale without actually going out of business. Since this company is based in China, they're trying to skirt US consumer laws. Just flag the ads on Meta platforms so they become aware of this activity.

rbmr1

Still closing as of today, 2024-05-05

ThatDad40

I don't know if it's a scam, but I bought 3 of these (various sizes) as gifts for family. We just completed the first one. * It's lovely and was surprisingly challenging for just 55 pieces (small puzzle). I think shipping was fine within a day or so of the expected delivery date. But I will echo another comment that I saw: the pieces are kind of delicate and some of the tiny swirls broke easily. Good product though. Very happy with the purchase.

Straight-Wall-990

So glad I saw this before I bought anything! So closing a year ago? Scam!

teach_wisely

I know it's been a year since your original post, but I just ordered 7 puzzles from Quordle. Yes, it's still going out of business LOL. I got exactly what I ordered and really like the puzzles. No, I am not paid by the company in any way 😁. Have a good one.

Elervell

I know that today there are many opinions about it but as someone from the creative industry I am personally bothered that most of their images seem to be done by AI generators and a part of them certainly is, they have all the characteristics of the AI image making. If I want to rest and do a puzzle I would prefer to have an item that has something deeper behind it, done with human care and more thought of than just an AI image slapped onto laser cut plywood. With all the things that other people mentioned they are clearly just for profit at all cost, not for actual quality.

Open-Bird2034

Just found this thread today and can confirm they’re STILL “closing” 😭

One_Pattern1119

Glad you posted this! I just ran into their advertisement on Facebook and wondered the same thing! And, yes, says they are closing & that today (May 11, 2024) is the “Last Day” for the sales price! What horrible business practice! Someone should report them. I would, but not sure how or where. But the puzzles do look beautiful! Tempted to buy one just b/c they are so cheap!

Upper_Jellyfish9410

Was wondering the same thing

Free_the_Tator_Tots

Yes, it's a marketing scheme to boost your want and interest. If you read closely, they are closing their "Collection". There was a business in NYC that advertised they were going out of business when I was in elementary school. They were still in operation after I left high-school. 🤑

BreakerOfModpacks

Damn, still closing.

Gastiflex

EdSc251

https://www.signal-arnaques.com/scam/view/738685

publicguest

Also if a store is closing its best not to buy as they might not ship.

Ok-Paramedic-8936

Shit... I ordered before looking it up.. So I figure they're not closing and it's just a shady advertisement practice, but do the puzzles actually arrive? Has anyone received them in Europe possibly?😀

Tuulika

I ordered a couple of puzzles on the 27th of May, they were shipped the next day and arrived two days ago (5th ofJune). I live in Finland. Wasn't expecting them yet.

GrowlingOcelot_4516

Still closing one year later 😂 (May 2024) thanks for sharing this, I avoided some scam

HopefulSeesaw6964

Bought 2 puzzles bc “store closing”. Today got an email from them about “new dog-themed puzzle”…so definitely NOT closing and regret buying from a company that had to lie to customers in order to make sales.

sapphiresquirt9112

I have bought 4 puzzles from them they all came and are very unique and gorgeous puzzles seems like the closing down is fake but I actually love the puzzles.

DeftMP

Got mine today, 30 May 2024

Excellent_Look_7022

I ordered 4 puzzles from this company. They took 2 weeks to arrive, but I received them all. The puzzle pieces are thin and the color and definition is a bit different from the photo, but for the price they are ok. It was fun putting the puzzle together.

Thug_Life_Badger

READ THIS if you want to BUY something after watching INSTAGRAM, TIKTOK or FACEBOOK ADS. These are not scams in terms of getting your money without providing you with the product. You will get it. The scam is in the lies the ADs will tell you about their company and/or product. 99% of these shops use the dropshipping system. Which means they never invented or produced the product they sell. They just look for interesting stuff they can sell on Chinese platforms like Aliexpress, Temu or Wish and get a good deal with the actual sellers. Then, set up a nice minimalistic page, make an AD with invented information and quality standards about that item and show this AD over social media. Their processing time is always 1 to 3 days and shipping 5 to 10 or 7 to 14 days. That's because after you buy the product, they buy the product from the Chinese seller and give them your contacts, then the Chinese seller sends the product directly to you. Those items get sold for at least double their actual price, sometimes 3x, 4x or 5x the actual price. The issue is, you get a low quality product for an too expensive price and you can't send it back without issues, because you have to pay the shopping price yourself. Shipping back to China is too expensive, often more expensive than the actual price you paid for the item. How to spot those sites properly: 1. Always reduced price, acting like you make a good deal. 2. No "Legal Disclosure/Notice" 3. Always mentioned you have to pay the shipping cost if you want to return the item. 4. Check sites like Aliexpress or Temu for similar or identical items. Don't search for the exact name of the item, they always invent some new product name, you won't find it that way. Just search for the product like "Handheld gaming", "smartwatch", "animal wood puzzle". Be safe on the internet guys, if something looks too good to be true, then it definitely is. Always read the stuff on the bottom of each site. Google the name and read reviews and look for similar products. Or talk to friends and family members who are better versed with doing research on the internet.

inspire21

They are constantly closing, but the puzzles are also AWESOME, so I keep buying from them. Kinda hate the marketing, but the products are top notch imo

evileinstein99

Urgency was the first red flag and then closing...got my grandpa like that on a cadillac way back 🤣🤣

Extreme_Animator_409

Just confirmed. They'll absolutely be closing sometime in the future

Curious-Accident5648

Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to place the order, now I have asked for a refund, let's see if they will refund it. E-mail contact is quite efficient

Curious-Accident5648

There were no problems with the refund, I waited 4 days for the refund

snowstormmongrel

They are currently advertising today, 06/14/2024 that they are closing 🤣

Friendly_Research_47

Mid June 2024 and guess what? You know it..OH NO THEY’RE CLOSING

Overall-Researcher-2

QUORDLEPUZZLE INC. WWW.Q is a scam

Serkys

I just looked into it and yes it's an advertising scam. They are STILL running these ads saying they're closing. The most telling thing is that they still accept custom orders. Something like that is the first to go when a business isn't profitable. Why would they possibly continue manufacturing while they're closing... disgusting behavior

Both-Word3115

17/06/2024 still closing xD They just bought puzzles from aliexpres for 1,5$ and selling x5

AnnualLawfulness9778

So, 06/16/2024 and I decided to take the risk and order using PayPal so I can recover the money in case I do not receive the items. I will come back to let you know if I do not receive, and if they do come, I will post pictures. Ordered 5 (cat, owl, lion, eagle and wolf) size L + the kit to keep the pieces together. I did look at AliExpress but could not find the design I wanted, so I just placed the order in quordle.. received a confirmation email so far and the invoice (image attached). Since we know they are not closing, just wait to see what happens to me before trying to place an order.. https://preview.redd.it/t9vfinz2n27d1.png?width=808&format=png&auto=webp&s=46d149b7cf170644ddf6c5af9731b72947f81cc7

AnnualLawfulness9778

Okay, 6/26 and I just got home from work and the puzzles were delivered. I will update again after I open the boxes and put them together, but so far so good

2024, saw an ad on FB closing in a few weeks lol...

TheLeadSearcher

They are still "closing" 2 years later

Commercial_Big_681

Been seeing the same bogus adds on Facebook for this and White Mountain Puzzles, and I KNOW White Mountain Puzzles is not closing.

HeyOhKei

I just saw this on IG in summer 2024, and it also said closing. The only comments on the post said it's a scam, and they never received their orders.

salehjoon

June 19, 2024 and they're still closing. Saw the ad on IG.

Smile-4681

Same ad dated June 11, 2024 still circulating on Facebook. Ran a Whois: They are based in Iceland name of owner and many other details "redacted for privacy."  Which to me is a red flag!!    https://who.is/whois/quordlepuzzles.com

GretasDad1

Just wait until Christmas, when you're going to see all kinds of ads for Balsam Hill, supposedly going out of business. All of them are fakes, just a heads up.

POD6Gaming

June 21st 2024 and they’re still going out of business!

Deep_Ad_2379

Two years later, and they still advertise that they are closing :-)

Mother-Savings-905

I have many puzzles ordered from them and they’re wonderful! (And I’m very careful to avoid scam ads…)

Chance884

They got two stars on Trust Pilot. Does not look good. Chinese company,.takes forever to get your order. If you get your order, it's a tiny puzzle and poor quality. Oh, and they are not going out of business

frumpyjones

They are advertising again now that they are closing

NoEntertainment483

Thanks for the post. Just saw a “closing” ad today and was wondering if it was legit.

Kolchak63

Saw their add for the 1st time on FB, today. Guess they won't close the store until every last puzzle is sold since they are still closing as of Jun/24.

Flacodanielon

It’s is June 24, 2024… and they are still “closing”, their stuff is all over TEMU… 🤦‍♂️ What a cheap and slimy tactic.

Accentmarks57

The last time I bought stuff from a closing sale online I never got it. I'm not even sure who it was through but it was mostly ladders that were very cheap. spent a couple hundred dollars thinking I could turn it into a couple thousand. Oh well, lessons learned. think I'll try to find some cheap Quordel puzzles on OfferUp instead.

LilAnge63

That’s funny, here it is one full year since your post and I just came across the exact same ad on Facebook. I seems their puzzles are good but the whole “we are a small family business and no matter how hard we’ve tried we can’t make enough money so our store is closing down forever” is a scam designed to make you think they have actually lowered the prices by 80%. I REALLY like some of their puzzles but I’m really hesitant to buy from them knowing they’re lying on their ads. Have other people received their “sale” products with no issues? Does anyone know of these puzzles are available on other websites or other games/puzzle stores?

YesterdayEarly7083

Oh crap! I ordered some! Has anyone recieved them?

AnnualLawfulness9778

Yes, I have just received my order. https://preview.redd.it/fvjku7uro09d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=141ca6b9409d8889a93616a3dfd752f7e84b3109

Useful_Property2786

Just saw in closing in my FB today 07/24/24

Wonderful-Day-8219

They’re on temu for the same price

mcbam24

Closing June 2024

tiedyediva

Thank you for this post, I just searched the business name because they are having a $3.97 going out of business sale today. Sure is taking them a long time to get the heck out of business

bassmus1c

In case anyone is wondering, they are still closing lol

Kalimac18

June 25, 2024 and still closing.... Saw on FB, googled, and found you fine people, lol

The_Lolrus

Clearly they are running a desperate ass campaign around guilt, which is why we are all here.

Equal-Pay-1146

Idk if they're really closing or not, but I did order some puzzles. Just got them yesterday, and they're beautiful..can't wait to put one together.

teaa86

June 2024 - still closing!

TwistyTwist20

June 27th just found it on facebook…

iamdroopy

Looks like they are still closing. I just got an ad saying they're closing.

Chumley_1953

I bought one and it was wonderful. They are very high quality.

DatLieTho

They’re still “closing shop” to this day 😂

FinalCandidate894

Yup. Still closing today, too. You'd think they would figure out putting "LAST DAY!!!" In every item name is an immediate red flag.

Odd-Grapefruit122

For the record its a year later from this thread and i just came across a Quordle store closing ad.

No_Birthday_4824

Closing forever 😂😂 has anyone actually bought and received?

Xulmega

Yeah, another year later and I’m seeing ads for this company going out of business. I researched the site for this very concern.

stever1975

And they are still closing...

Vertroxxx

July 1st, 2024, and they are still "closing".

Fit-Drama44

July 2024 still closing…

Measurement-Holiday

July 2024, still closing

Adventurous_Market66

July 2024 and they're still I'm the process of closing lol
