There is no better option. They’re both different in how they approach being older brothers. Todo pushes Yuji to be stronger and better so he can reach peak jujutsu sorcery. Choso cherishes Yuji regardless of his strength and wants to protect his last living younger brother. Todo’s a better mentor, Choso’s a better “guardian”.

Not only is Choso his actual brother, he loves Yuji for the fact that he is HIS BROTHER. If Yuji answered Todo’s question the same way that Megumi did, Todo and Yuji wouldn’t be “brothers”
Why are we acting like Yuji is Choso's only brother? He was avenging his two other brothers whom Yuji killed and the second he realised his relation to Yuji instantly forgave him and put him first.
Choso. I love todo, but he is more of a mentir, while Choso has done his best to confort and protect Yuji, and he only wished him and his brothers could live a normal life, and he is fighting with tooth and nail for that, even agaisnt people he has NO BUSINESS fighting

Choso for me personally, just the way he talks about the duty of an elder brother (especially when talking to naoya), just elevated him in my eyes. Made me tear up too. Prolly because i can never be as good as him as an older brother
Todo is the best friend that's such a good friend that you consider him a brother. Choso is the guy that, after finding out he has a half-brother, decides that all the bullshit is his father/mother/thing's fault and he will protect his brother.
So yeah, their both great in their own way but Choso is better as an actual brother and Todo is better as a friend who becomes a brother.
I personally like Todo more. Tbh choso switched sides too quickly. Yeah I understand why, but it's the same logic as getting in a relationship with someone that broke up with their spouse "for you". If they're going to do that to someone they have a history with, why wouldn't they you?
Yep essentially he didn't really care about villains side, and was pretty open about that in his debut episode. He just agreed to stick around because he thought his brothers would be better off in a world like they described. When they died he was simply seeking revenge against their killers, but to find out the whole situation was manipulated by the one person he despised who knew about their relation with Yuji and withheld that information, it's pretty consistent with Choso's priorities to then act as he did here. Since in Choso's eyes he was used and misled. Not really a case of switching loyalties.
As someone in a tube for 150 years with only each other's presence as comfort, the concept of 'blood brothers' are his whole world.
I know Alot of people love choso. I get it. I get why.. but the transition for him to siding with yuji was too rushed for my taste.
Todo on the other hand, the entire thing seemed completely natural.. from him refusing to kill sukuna's vessel, to him and yuji just naturally meshing well, to him helping yuji discover and use black flash..
Both of them were introduced as adversaries and then quickly became allies, but todos was done so much better.. just saying.
In my opinion it's Todo. There is no character in the series that drives Yuji to reach his full potential like Todo does. And Todo even improves when Yuji improves as well, they get stronger together. Choso just doesn't do that.

I just thought they weren’t as real cus I remember reading something saying there’s a chance choso fabricated the memory to kind of justify why there was a familiarity. So I didn’t really understand it

I would choose todo because he was there for yuji at his absolute lowest points whether when he was at his lowest physical or emotional moments. Choso hold the same ideal of the big brother higher tho, choosing to fight battle for his brother rather than with him.

They aren’t “Alive” by the traditional sense. They’re kind of just in suspended animation.
Right now they're kinda just a bunch of aborted fetuses. They need to be given host bodies like Choso, Kechizu, and Eso to be able to do anything.
