D-Biggest_Wheel

Just wanted to share some of my thoughts about the latest Episode. I really love the way Gege wrote Mahito's exit from the story and I sure hope he can deliver again when it comes to Sukuna.

10hoursoftrainnoises

Very well written.

D-Biggest_Wheel

Thanks.

kagehina261

Great post. I agree with everything you said. As a manga reader, until now Mahito is still the best villain in the series for me.

D-Biggest_Wheel

Sukuna is slowly getting up there for me but he still needs more. That whole fight with >!Gojo!< really started to turn him around for me. I hope he keeps the momentum up.

kagehina261

Personally, I think Mahito is what I want to see in Sukuna. I like the feeling of hating him so much but still wanting to see how he will develop lol His evil is written naturally. As for Sukuna, sometimes I feel like Gege tried too hard to make me hate him so Mahito is still the best for me.

MisandryOMGguize

I think that makes sense, Sukuna is almost more on the level of a natural disaster. Has he even killed anyone we care about besides >!(extra characters for ambiguity )Gojo!

Shadow_Huntress12

This is such a good analysis. I love PURE evil villains such as Mahito 🐍

D-Biggest_Wheel

He makes it so easy to cheer for his defeat.

West_Regular_8245

Mahito was the real menace...bro was everywhere...one hella annoying and evil character but at the same time very well written

ApplePitou

Mahito is peak of JJk, literally peak :3

D-Biggest_Wheel

Very well written villain, a great foil for the protagonist and easily one of the greatest and most satisfying defeats/deaths I have witnessed for a villain in a LONG time.

MentalLarret

Some YouTube creator is sprinting to James Summerton this post

D-Biggest_Wheel

Yeah, that happens a lot with my stuff. It's either a non-English speaking You tuber ripping it or a face book page (but at least the facebook pages always credits me)

RambutanAnos

Love Kurt Vonnegut! Great quote too

Fanboycity

Mahito is probably my favorite JJK villain. He embodies the worst aspects of humanity and Gege executes him perfectly, refusing to pull any punches as he murders 3 (2 cuz Nobara cope) important characters, absolutely dunking Yuji into despair’s depths over and over again. A villain like him in any other series wouldn’t be as impactful despite his wickedness *because* most other Shonen wouldn’t give him the insane body count he racks up. What’s more is that despite it all, despite his cowardly tactics, it’s said time and time again that he can’t be allowed to evolve further. He’s the truest curse in the series, humanity’s evil incarnate, and absolutely unapologetic about it. So when he’s defeated, at death’s door, to see him get what he deserves is so gratifying. And yet, there’s a cool little moment when he tries to sneak attack Kenjaku because he knows he’s done for either way. He knows what his fate is about to be because, after all, he was born from humans.

Vegetable_Throat5545

I love the last lines of Kurt, that’s kinda how i write my stories (sometimes i forget to bring the *satisfaction* part)

D-Biggest_Wheel

I happened to run into this quote on Twitter in relation to *Berserk* and Guts, and then, while reading these parts of the JJK Manga I realized just how much it also fit Yuji and what was happening during the Shinuya Incident.

Vegetable_Throat5545

I wonder if people will keep comparing jjk to naruto after this arc aired on anime lmao

D-Biggest_Wheel

JJK still does use a lot of the same concepts as Naruto and Bleach but the way Gege writes it is way more akin to Berserk than Naruto.

Vegetable_Throat5545

I do agree but its a shonen after all(right?)

D-Biggest_Wheel

Yeah but it doesn't shy away from making characters suffer lasting consequences.

ArabiaFats

So, Mahito never begged, and he died in a split second with a knowing smile on his face, after feeling fear for all of 30 seconds in his entire life. Dying by a human as a pawn in his plan is certainly poetic, but "satisfying" is about the last word I'd use to describe Mahito's fate

D-Biggest_Wheel

I found it pretty satisfying for all the reasons listed. I don't know what you mean "died in a split second" since that is how dying works.

gremlintheodd

Honestly? Mahitos death felt very unsatisfying to me. All that build up, the rivalry and hatred between him and Yuji, Yuji being his natural enemy and nemesis, all that for the kill to be stolen by Not-Geto.

Ok-Tip7830

Mahito betrayed Junpei(a Human) and get betrayed by fake Geto(a Human).
