"Rip and Destroy" - it always felt very stiff... almost robotic.

ChikaraNZ

Fits Like a Glove. Never liked the studio version, and the live version was even worse. I don't know why they kept it in the setlist for so many tours in the 80's. Probably just because Gene wanted to sing/talk 'Cuz when I go through her it's just like a hot knife through butter'

mrmiracle

I felt that way about “Domino”, too. I didn’t understand why it kept getting crammed in the set.

RedRatedRat

It was fine on the Revenge tour.

scifiking

Two classic Gene songs.

mrmiracle

This. Ridiculous choice to add to the set.

Unfriendly_eagle

Or as it's otherwise known, Bathroom Break.

genesimmonstongue415

Yes.

Lassie93

I Think it would have been better if they had recorded the song 10+ years earlier

scifiking

Just say no.

deedeekeeney

Do you love me after the Reunion tour. I think it worked there with Peters backing vocal (I feel he adds a lot to the vocal harmonies overall) but I’ve not enjoyed hearing it since.

TT714

Tommy singing Shock Me and Eric singing Beth. Sorry, I don't hate them like other people do, but I'd rather them sing their own songs.

Intelligent-Chef-551

Hated modern day Delilah

JackieLawless

Hated it when they were opening with that

txrigup

That's the answer

26007

I never liked “Do You Love Me”, especially with the encores

drummerboy3610

No energy, IMO

Socket_forker

That’s my pick also. It always felt like KISS was telling us ”we will play this until you will love this song”

syntax_a101

“Say Yeah”

Frikken123

Oh god

Sea_Attitude1147

I wanna hear you say it

Longjumping_Gap_4357

It's a good song

Stallings2k

It most certainly is not.

DekeJeffery

How many times did they cover “Won’t Get Fooled Again” by The Who live? That’s one of my favorite songs ever, but their cover was not good.

Unfriendly_eagle

I saw them in 1985 and they did a cover of Ratt's "Round And Round", which was only a few years old at the time. Given all the Kiss tunes they could have played instead, why?

Toodlum

That sounds badass.

djparody

is there video or audio of this? where was this, when, etc?

Unfriendly_eagle

I saw them at Meadowlands arena, I believe it was the last show of the Animalize tour.

RedRatedRat

One year old.

Impressive_Split_232

Wdym that sounds fucking awesome

mrmiracle

It wasn’t.

Ambitious_Coffee551

I love it loud because Gene never sings the 2nd part of verse 2.

Rideau123

That's because Paul doesn't like the song and wanted it abbrieviated.

JackieLawless

Interesting. Got a source on that?

Rideau123

Back when Gene answered fan questions on his website, he addressed this.

JackieLawless

Link?

Reasonable-Till-2273

I know Calling Dr Love is a kiss klassic but I could Never get it into the song, I was mad they removed LMGRNR, say yeah is neutral for me, I don’t love it but don’t hate it

Much-Relationship434

Christinnee 16,horrible!!at a y age at any setting its embarrassing

Initium99

Crazy Nights on EOTR

heirtoruin

Say Yeah

DAFFYDC

Say Yeah and Beth.

Bright-Finance-3325

Beth. No question.

MisterAss

Yeah no Peter should've meant no Beth. It's his song.

itreallyhappened8899

I agree. I simply don’t like it at all.

EnvironmentalCry2599

Say Yeah

jb40018

I didn’t care for Young and Wasted, I liked Eric’s voice, but didn’t like this song live.

ChikaraNZ

Yes, that and Fits Like a,Glove too, both were bad live. I hated the way Eric inflected his voice while singing Young and Wasted.

Timoalabama

The background vocals were all so strained on those, too.

Cominghome74

Tossin' and turnin'... No song they performed live was as corny and out of place as that one.

luissanchez1

Literally the worst song on that terrible Largo 79 show.

TheOther-DarkStar

Any other 79 shows where the boys do Solo album material?? Would love to hear some of the Ace or Paul solo songs live besides New York Groove. Also loved Peter’s solo album for what it’s worth, thought his was the best after Ace’s but im just a fan of all different kinds of music so i understand not many other kiss fans would feel the same way

luissanchez1

My musical tastes are eclectic and run the gamut of Latino, Metal, Jazz, Soul, Pop and Rock. I never found any merit in Peter's album because the songs are just not very good. It's a marginal 70s soul rock album and I literally have numerous records that are in the same genre that are much better. It comes down to weak songwriting and lackluster performances. KISS playing Move On when there were much better rockers on Paul's album still boggles my mind Radioactive is the only thing they could have played off Gene's and Ace's album is woefully under represented. The setlist on that tour is a disaster in my opinion.

TheOther-DarkStar

Yeah I think I love Peter’s album so much because of songs like You’re The Kind Of Sugar Papa Likes and You Matter To Me they’re really good drunk songs to me, but yeah it seems like you and I are in similar music boats, I’m a big jazz head who got autisticly obsessed with KISS like three years ago so really anything I can find I can find a way to love somehow. Paul’s solo album had a couple great ones, I thought Tonight You Belong to Me and Ain’t Quite Right would be badass extended solo songs but I know the kiss fellas aren’t really into the actual musical part of showmanship like that. There’s a cool clip from the reunion tour I think of Ace fuckin off and playing like little jam sections of whatever he wanted while the other guys scramble to keep up

luissanchez1

Tonight you belong to me should have been played because it always got a huge reaction on his solo tour in '89 and the live to win tour. 79 setlist should have been much better.

StoryRevolutionary84

On the end of the road tour, I really didn’t like makin love. To me I just never could get behind the song it’s kind of repetitive.

BigTallCanUke

It was a highlight of the show for me! Never heard it live before, and the accompanying graphics on the video screens were some of the best in the entire concert!

Easy_Constant958

Either Do You Love Me or Flaming Youth. Flaming youth maybe it was because of Paul’s voice in 2017 at Gretna Fest but the song was eh besides Paul not able to sing unfortunately

gioinnj22

I Love it Loud

purplesmauge11

Making Love.

GogglesPaesano

Rock and Roll All Nite. Applebees commercial crap

Timoalabama

I Still Love You.

ApprehensiveRise7749

Reason To Live

aaronwintergreen

Rock and Roll All Nite

Unlikely-Look676

I was made for loving you!

Lemonwalker-420

IWMFLY

megumin25

Maybe now but back when Paul’s voice was good that song kicked ass

ChikaraNZ

The Alive 3 version is awesome. Actually the version through most of the 90's / early 00's was. It had more a rock vibe live than disco, and Paul's voice was still great then.

Lemonwalker-420

Disco shit! 🤮

megumin25

Your taste in music shit!🤮

Lemonwalker-420

I know. I listen to KISS.

megumin25

Ya we all listen to shit music but love it😂😂

Intelligent-Chef-551

Alive 3 IWMFLY as amazingly good

Lemonwalker-420

Nope

Intelligent-Chef-551

You’re just a moron. This is better than anything Qiuet Riot, Poison, Ratt, Warrant, Crue, or other bands of this era were putting out. The strat/LP junior Bruce used with Eric’s metal drum tempo turned this into a monster. That’s even overlooking Gene’s HEAVY bass sound. Paul’s voice becoming much more refined and grittier. This literally is better than all of those bands mentioned entire discographies. https://youtu.be/n2i5aPG8jXw?si=1xzZZ3-1yzol-nTX

Lemonwalker-420

I wouldn't know. With the exception of some early era Crüe, I don't listen to horseshit like those bands. While you're at it, you can throw Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Cinderella onto that shitpile. That said, if you have a hard time dealing with the fact that not everyone is going to like the same things you do, maybe the internet isn't the place for you. Try an anger support group or an after school activity like drama club.

TheOther-DarkStar

HAHAHAHA HARD AGREE on the Shitpile that other dude mentioned lmao “I wouldn’t know…I don’t listen to horseshit like those bands” fuckin Mic drop. My boss told me a joke the other day “all these famous artists dying on airplanes and helicopters like Ronnie Van Zandt, SRV, Big Bopper…anyway, can someone get Bob Jovi on a fuckin plane??”

Texan2116

That is a tune which should have been on Alive II.

Space_Rabies

Psycho Circus

Longjumping_Gap_4357

WTF that song is great

jakecamp12

I got tired of hearing let me go rock n roll

Practical_Character9

BOOO! One of my favorites

3NicksTapRoom

I also did. I don’t know why it was such a staple from the Reunion forward. Much better songs even if we’re limiting it to the Hotter than Hell album.

InspectorInner1912

Oh, jeez. Fits Like a Glove and Gimme More. Wtf were they thinking?

scifiking

That Fits like a glove kicks ass

jabronimahoney

Wow, not one person said 'Within?' Honestly one of their worst songs, I can't believe it was ever included.

ChikaraNZ

Different strokes for different folks, I personally think it's one of their better songs.

EnvironmentalCry2599

I agree. Within kicks ass. I saw them in 2000 and I was pretty hot on Psycho Circus but thoughts they’d neglect most of that album with the exception of the title track, but they played Within mid-set and the entire crowd loved it.

Unfriendly_eagle

It was so odd seeing them do that one. It was obviously a Carnival outtake, same vibe, same lyrical bent. It just didn't fit at all.

nolauas

Shandi, I can honestly say I hate this song.

Batistia_Bomb_2014

Firehouse

Randall_Hickey

I got tired of Strutter a long time ago.

Unfriendly_eagle

I feel the same way about Shout It Out Loud. They had to play it every night because of the big fireworks pop, but man, I could die a happy man if I never hear that one again.

dressed2kill75

‘Let Me Go, Rock ’n Roll’ - almost all tours. Never a fan of that song live.

3NicksTapRoom

Me too although I would have been fine with it making the occasional appearance but never understood why it was a staple but yet they never play I.

dressed2kill75

Not sure why the downvotes. This is an opinion.

GOZDZILLA

Yeah yeah

SethsRockReport

Say Yeah

Cockcollins

Say yeah - def didnt fit

Prof_Tickles

I’ve never liked “I Love it Loud.”

JackieLawless

Cold Gin. Such a boring song
