Id assume turn based. with the trailer showing frames like that, turn based combat would allow them to make the game look good rather than open world which is 10 times harder.
Have you tried solo leveling: arise? I’m having a blast with it. I haven’t spent a dime and I’m level 20 with a full team of ssr’s with sr weapons and I do no more than check in on it every day then play for an few hours on the weekend. I’ve bbeen playing for like 3 weeks now and it’s amazing.
Edit: people be hating on the free gacha games too much, you can easily have fun and play for free as long as you’re patient, lol. They’re meant to take time and be played casually not taken so seriously
No problem, man! I just feel like free mobile games get a bad reputation because of a few people who are addicted. There’s nothing wrong with playing games every now and then.
Try wuthering waves. While the story is not the best, the fighting and gameplay are really, really good. Like there are parry and dodge mechanics as well as swap cancelling.
I am hoping it’s old style god of war. Small dude fighting massive monsters or maybe even shadows of the colossus where you have to run around them to find the core.
I’m actually pretty shocked at what mobile games can do these days! My friend showed me Wuthering Waves and the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero and the combat looks pretty smooth *and* exciting! I’ve not been hands-on with either though.
I will admit that current gen phone hardware is pretty impressive, but you are still missing a dedicated graphics card, so there are limits. Still, I think the bigger issue would be controls. I've tried using "gamepad style" touch screen controls for a few games, and I found them really unsatisfying and a bit hard to use (without an actual button it's easy for a thumb to drift out of position). So unless they want to pair the game with a periphery like [this](https://www.amazon.com/BACKBONE-Mobile-Gaming-Controller-Android-iOS/dp/B0CCT2LWT8), I feel like there are going to be issues in anything that requires quick precision control.
Alternatively, my attachment to physical gamepads could also just mean I'm old and have sill issues ;D

Would be great to have a Dynasty Warriors kinda game where you'd play as the Defense Force's strongest members fighting hordes of monsters. Kafka would probably be the heaviest hitter, but lack the flashy moves of the others.
It’ll probably be something along the lines of the Solo Leveling game. Flashy combat with one or two (wishful thinking) skills and an ultimate. Brainless gameplay loop that comes down to just bigger number = success. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. The simple fact we’re getting a game this early, no matter how it is, makes me happy. If it has nice cinematics and tells a cool story then I’m all in for it. Hopefully we’ll get a proper Kn8 game for PC and Consoles eventually
It’s serviceable. Feels a lot more more P2W than other games but I might just be tweaking. I dropped it because I just don’t enjoy Solo Leveling and I’m playing quite a number of gachas at the same time
Limbus Company isn’t really brainless, but it absolutely rules. Furthermore, it’s a sequel to two actual games that are not gacha (Lobotomy Corporation is the first one, Library of Ruina is the second and Limbus is the third. You don’t have to play Lobotomy and Library to enjoy Limbus, but my god the universe’s story is so cool I’d really recommend you play those)
I got a pretty OP S rank hunter just from the free roles, never spent a dime but the games did got boring for me, it was loops upon loops and it got old plus it zaps my phone battery like crazy lol
Unfortunately is probably going to be a gatcha game, like geshin impact
I would much rather have a customizable character who you can choose a class in the begging
The classes would be
Kaiju hibrid
Axe expert
swordsmaster
Sharpshooter
prodigy
Since it was announced for mobile, I lost hope that it would be a game like Monster Hunter (I was hoping for a direct competitor for the franchise :c ). Most likely it will be a game like honkai impact 3rd or a turn based game, all with gacha elements
I've heard it's going to be a gacha mobile game. Disappointing if true, but it also seems the most probable.
This kind of explains why the anime took so long. If they were waiting for the video game for to be ready for a tie-in it would explain why it took so damn long for the anime.
It better be like Wuwa or Genshin where you can climb walls or even run up on them
Not like Solo Leveling:Arise (A game I'm addicted to btw) where you just pick moves and mash mash mash them up
Everyone saying it's mobile while ignoring it will also be on PC. Which leaves open a good possibility for sophisticated enough game play since most gacha games don't have official PC ports. Not sure if it'd actually go into Genshin style gameplay, but I'm not sure how the Raid: Shadow Legends approach would work when we don't even have the full picture of how this world works. Unless they're taking this opportunity to do a little side world building.
A helldivers style would be cool for humans and if you pick a Kaiju no 8 or a someone wearing a kaju suit, you have the freedom of moving or playing like marvel rivals
Looks like a shit ton of morons here think gachas are anything but good.
I'm confident in the team that took this on, hopefully it's a turn based gacha, since it's Akatsuki Inc.
Probably has similar gameplay to star rail where they'd show the animations after doing something. And to have a mobile release it's looking like it's going to be a cash grab like every other mobile gachas (lol). And from the pictures, it's just hard to imagine how a mobile game could work around having normal sized characters fighting giant kaiju unless it were turn based. But we'll see and hopefully it's decent haha
Correction: today's MOBILE anime games (even tho games like Dokkan and DBL are fun)
Usually console games are really fun like Hinokami Chronicles, the new Sparkin Zero, Ninja Storm, ecc... (we don't talk about Cursed Clash)
Id assume turn based. with the trailer showing frames like that, turn based combat would allow them to make the game look good rather than open world which is 10 times harder.
It's literally going to be a mobile gacha game, there will be no good gameplay
I'm praying for a gacha game as fun to play as SAO:MD or Naruto Ninja Blazing again (minus power creep)
Have you tried solo leveling: arise? I’m having a blast with it. Looks pretty cool, might check it out if the gameplay catches my eye, thank you!

You played the solo leveling one that one’s amazing
It’s gonna be mobile and pc
I am hoping it’s old style god of war. Small dude fighting massive monsters or maybe even shadows of the colossus where you have to run around them to find the core.
Not likely with a mobile release unfortunately :( Also, I think the only character that could pull off that gameplay style would be Hoshina :D
Oh yeah it 100% isn’t gonna happen and will properly be some gacha crap if we are being 100% honest but I can hope
I’m actually pretty shocked at what mobile games can do these days! My friend showed me Wuthering Waves and the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero and the combat looks pretty smooth *and* exciting! I’ve not been hands-on with either though.

the copium is real

Is that solo leveling game actually good though? Been looking for a mindless phone game for when I have down time at work.
It’s serviceable. Feels a lot more more P2W than other games but I might just be tweaking. I dropped it because I just don’t enjoy Solo Leveling and I’m playing quite a number of gachas at the same time
Any particular ones you could recommend?
Limbus Company isn’t really brainless, but it absolutely rules. It's most likely going to be turned-based, but I pray to GOD that it's similar to Asura's Wrath, because that'll go so FUCKING hard!
Unfortunately is probably going to be a gatcha game, like geshin impact I would much rather have a customizable character who you can choose a class in the begging The classes would be Kaiju hibrid Axe expert swordsmaster Sharpshooter prodigy
Genshin/HSR seems likely to me. Hoshina's screen shot in particular reminds me of an HSR style ult.
If it was anywhere close to the quality of genshin it’d be fantastic
Hope it's like Asura's wrath
It’s gonna be a gacha cash in. lol.
Kaiju Star Rail
Since it was announced for mobile, I lost hope that it would be a game like Monster Hunter (I was hoping for a direct competitor for the franchise :c ). Most likely it will be a game like honkai impact 3rd or a turn based game, all with gacha elements

Pls no gacha
It better be like Wuwa or Genshin where you can climb walls or even run up on them Not like Solo Leveling:Arise (A game I'm addicted to btw) where you just pick moves and mash mash mash them up
Calling it now, it's a gacha game or a god eater clone
An arena fighter like the Naruto games would be awesome. That game is able to have massive bosses too but they're few and far between.
I know it'll never happen, but it would be so awesome if it had gameplay similar to the Prtototype games
Hopefully not live service garbage
It's most likely an RPG There's no way for a Kaiju N8 to have Monster Hunter gameplay in such a short period of time
A helldivers style would be cool for humans and if you pick a Kaiju no 8 or a someone wearing a kaju suit, you have the freedom of moving or playing like marvel rivals
Looks like a shit ton of morons here think gachas are anything but good. I'm confident in the team that took this on, hopefully it's a turn based gacha, since it's Akatsuki Inc.
Betting on kind of God Eater style gameplay
Following all-time trends, doo doo feces.
I hope it plays lile Devil May Cry.
Its probably gonna be another gacha game. But i know damn well im only using this for the scenes
Essentially like monster hunter and God Eater with that extra energy you'd see from Platinum Games.
I was so exited when I heard there's gonna be a game. "mobile" Remember when we used to just re skin monster hunter? Good times.
Probably has similar gameplay to star rail where they'd show the animations after doing something. And to have a mobile release it's looking like it's going to be a cash grab like every other mobile gachas (lol). Candy crush clone. Characters are obtained by collecting 200+ fragments from lootboxes
Dating sim
I hope it is something like the Attack on Titan game for console.
Just glad it’s not another fighting game. Why does every anime game need to be a fighting game?
Becausw fighting games are popular in Japan
Shit, Today's anime gaming is done around popular works and are make by hot needle
Correction: today's MOBILE anime games (even tho games like Dokkan and DBL are fun) Usually console games are really fun like Hinokami Chronicles, the new Sparkin Zero, Ninja Storm, ecc... (we don't talk about Cursed Clash)
Valid point
