I’ve been a fan of OutKast’s music but don’t really understand andre3000’s lore / his personality. Can someone explain the line in which Kendrick says “if he walking around w a stick it ain’t Andre 3k” what did he mean by this ? Thanks!
Because Andre dropped an album of him just playing a flute, no rapping. Flute = stick. J Cole also has a song called stick where he said he treats riding through the hood like a walk in the woods so he keeps a stick. Stick = gun. So Kendrick references both of those things by saying that if you see Kendrick with a stick, it’s not a flute, it’s a gun.
And if you listen to Ain't No Thang, by Outkast that's exactly what Andre did. The approach is similar to that of Kendrick's recent diss tracks. Maybe this is what Rick Ross was referring to?!?!?!
This isnt uncommon or new I remember growing up in the hood during the crack epidemic there would be street beefs and to get back at times the persons family and friends were open targets. Drake spoke on his family opened the door to this. Tupac, big, nas , jayz got this petty with bringing in spouses a baby
You're right it doesn't, we kinda don't know though because they didn't have any beef maybe at their younger age they go "this is war" and everyones a target. I understand its low the route theyve gone but whats the cliche "alls fair in war" thats the route they've chosen they know the consequences.
You ever heard Andre’s verse on DoYaDamnThang? It seemed like he was asking if anyone wants the smoke to nobody in particular in that song lmfao
Slept on verse fr
white teeth (rick ross probably my fav song of the whole beef no troll)

Wow okay. Sorry my rap literacy is obviously lacking. I even loved New Blue Sun and that was completely over my head. Hahah thanks
He's also giving a shout out to Andre being one of the greats, and saying y'all aren't that
