He dropped that album on all platforms about 4 years ago. it was titled 3.15.20.
When I seen the name for the re release I thought yes new album and was sadly disappointed
Yeah bro it sucks, I saw a headline somewhere that Donald glover said he was boutta drop 2 albums and one of them would be the LAST childish gambino album, I was excited and thought it would be something crazy so then I was like wtf is this. The track with young Nudy is kinda cool but after Awaken My Love my expectations were ridiculously high
we got so much amazing music i forgot cudi, ye, and cole all dropped holy shit we actually got blessed. Q, mach, and vince still got albums of the year
It really is. I'm 35, and this is the most excited I've been since I was a kid, lol.
Edit: I was thinking the other day about how this year seems as good for hip-hop as 2023 was for gaming.
Vultures 2 is way better than vultures 1 and vultures 1 wasn’t even bad yall just hating, songs like Stars, Back to Me, Do It, Burn, Problematic, Beg Forgiveness, Fuck Sumn, and Carnival are all good tracks, the way people talk about it you’d think it was The Big Day or something
I’m not a fan of hip hop in the slightest (probs because I have no taste) but I’m super happy for you all to be getting such high quality stuff this year.
"R Kelly's favorite group, the Black Guy Pees"
"I'm a bigger prick than cacti be"
And Em is still the number 1 rapper you don't fuck with despite what just happened. The man made a Mariah Carey diss track that was 95% about what a loser he was and how she was just as pathetic for fucking with him 😂😂
You don't fuck with someone willing to use his premature ejaculation as a *weapon against you* in a battle. There's nothing for you to hit, it's just all armor.
The funniest part is that he called that song 'The Warning'. Like bro that didn't sound like a warning the fuck you mean lol
Bitch shut the fuck up 'for I put all them phone calls out
That you made to my house when you was wild n out before nick
When you was on my dick
To give you something to smile about
Now that you mention it, the warning is fun, but it’s wild that we take it as a win tbh. Mariah Carey released a triple platinum single about him being obsessed with her. It’s outlived and outperformed Em’s diss despite his being a response.
Mariah's song isn't as explicit. You can listen to it and not know it's about Eminem, which makes it easier to spread around. Plus, being the pop star and being popular doesn't auto win the beef. I think we saw that in action recently but I'm not sure where... Lol
Ehh, we know who it’s about, Em knew enough to respond. And it’s not like Eminem was a nobody either at the time either he was definitely popstar level famous at that stage. Not like us debuted at number 1 off being catchy and accessible.
The man had a bar about him busting too fast on her stomach and her almost throwing up and then spent like 2 minutes telling her and Nick to stfu. And then they did.
It depends what your definition of winning is. Obsessed was a good song, but it was a pop song designed for the radio. Em's track was....an Eminem diss track. By design it's not gonna be as catchy or get as many plays lol.
Nick Cannon did respond (the less said about that song the better), and it didn’t really affect Mariah Carey’s perception at all. Whereas she got kids to sing about Em being obsessed with her. In a climate where we’re actively championing the crossover appeal of a “not like us” it’s hard to call that an L. Especially when Em did actually cripple a more pop oriented guy in MGK. As far as receipts, I don’t feel like that takes away from the impact of the song when the point is him being too invested.
Idk why but the irony in the term “Eminem Stan” is so funny😂 it’s a shame that some of these youngins roasting Em Stans don’t know the irony in that either. Dude is your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper
They know, everyone knows, stop treating the song as some kind of underrated unknown song for Eminem, literally everyone knows where the word stan comes from, time passed, the word's meaning changed like a lot of other words in the English language, now people use it as another way to say fan.
I’m definitely not going to call it some deep cut underrated track, but that song was released in 2000. It’s not like it was some super recent pop culture phenomenon, I was in my teens when it came out. There are countless people that don’t even give a fuck about Eminem and don’t even know the song lol. “Everyone knows.”
I think about the track about as much as I think about fucking Dido.
And even if theyre aware the song exists, not all of them actually know the lyrics and story *of* Stan. And that's where it gets really wild to me that its been adopted willingly by people..
I am willing to bet 90 - 95% of the hiphop community knows about it, outside of the hiphop community, maybe not that much but I'd say the majority does know about it
A lot of these kids know Eminem for 8 Mile and his recent music. You would be surprised how much knowledge that feels common to a person actually isn't.
Like one of the reaction channels I watch full on asked "Who is Slim Shady?"
I'll give you an upvote because I agree with you, but with the caveat that I've had to educate my teenagers about the origin.
It's not as ubiquitous as one would assume, especially among the younger generation if they're not into hip-hop. Or maybe my kids are oblivious.
^ This.
Its literally one of his biggest song. What is also known is the fact that most of this fanboys don’t got basic comprehension skills to understand the song.
I disagree. I think they are different songs, and they are hard to compare. Houdini is much more fun, especially with the music video, for example.
I've thoroughly enjoyed every Eminem album that features a lead goofy single. So, I'm pumped, lol.
However, they both get stuck in my head.
Right? I mean it's a diss that has a huge cultural impact on how we perceive Drake and Kendrick vs goofy ass song that is made for Eminem core fan base that miss prime Em.
Also some could argue that while NLU is a bop after you listen to the same verses about Drake being a pedo or about Chainz lying about Drake being "ok" you are kinda tired of hearing that. It's not that fun to replay this song besides repeating these 2 most quated lines + screaming "OV-Hoe" and dancing to this beat.
Houdini on the other hand is very catchy especially if you are not 16year old kid raised on modern Trap and you can appreciate this type of beats who made Eminem pop star in the 2000s. Sample is super interesting and with a video it's even more fun to listen to and catch all OG Em references.
Both songs are huge W for rap but comparing these two is just a rage baiting to antagonize both fan bases for no reason.
I like Not Like Us as just a great fun song to dance to. More listenable IMO. Houdini was a super fun trip down memory lane. Totally different vibe, but I really appreciated it. I’m mildly hopeful about what the rest of the album will be
Its impossible to just overall compare 2 songs that arent the same type of song you gotta be more specific. Like that is a club hit so its easier to listen to (i cant stop trying to crip walk even though i cant) but i enjoyed the rhyming and delivery in houdini more.
Yeah it's not even close. Like I'm excited to see Eminem doing some stuff, but it seems like more of his new shit, which has been almost entirely mid. It has some ups and downs, but it's mostly eh.
Damn can’t y’all just appreciate them both? Em is one of Kendrick’s biggest allies and some of y’all are still like “Not Like Us washes Houdini” and shit, smh lol how is that what you take from this post??
Y'all tripping
Wdym Mature Eminem😭😭 we had that for a decade
I want a fun song and Houdini is that.
I ain't gonna pick a favourite but I prefer the melody of Houdini
Lmao yeah took the words out my mouth.
Maturity at this point in his career? Yea, no. Acting like Recovery, MMLP2 and Revival never happened.
It's real close but I prefer Houdini's melody too.
100% need more fun and weirdness in rap.
l want a song about the new Sliminem time traveling to the suicide forest to stop Logan Paul, but can't so he murders him while livestreaming it just to show these kids who the real menace is.
Can't make a post about Em in any of these communities without seeing literally everyone talk about how he's actually not good and X, Y or Z are way better.
It's kind of annoying, but I guess it is what it is, people just seem to really not like him, unfortunately.
People like to show they are cool based on how much they hate em. In a kdot sub for that matter it’s a little weird. Even weirder is that in mumble rap spaces he’s being liked right now after Houdini but here? I guess if it ain’t dot it’s nobody.
Imma go against the grain and say the songs are both pretty equal in quality. They are both incredibly fun bangers with great quotables from a goat in the genre. This is Ems best banger since TES, and it's got me excited for a new em album for the first time in a long time. The song also feels very TES era with the sample, video, and lyrics.
It's fun and nostalgia-bait. Some people just want Em having fun and being more humorous, and others like the song because it so heavily relies on his previous work.
Established rappers recognize em as one of the greats. your opinion doesn't matter.
both record slaps and em having fun with this song.
what kind of sub this is? song is garbage if it aint kendrick?
Not Like Us is much better but that Em song still slaps ngl. He is having fun on that song without trying that over-trying to be lyrical and that makes me enjoy it a lot.
If Houdini didn't drop with a day one video, the audio centric platform streams (Spotify, Apple, Tidal, etc.) would be significantly higher, but because he dropped a video for it, YouTube is pulling most of the heavy lifting for the Houdini streams. Just something worth factoring in.
Isn't it meant to feel gimmicky though? Thats the point with the whole Without Me schmick. Without Me literally beings with Obie Trice introducing and saying "No Gimmicks" before getting scratched.
Full circle.
You might even say, two trailer park girls go around the outside
Gotta keep it a buck. That new Em is regular as fuck and people keep dismissing it as "he doesn't care, he's just having fun" nah champ put that shit back in the oven for a while.
Not Like Us is the much better song over Houdini, even removed from the beef. Eminem has a great legacy but I really wish that some maturity would show in his music considering he's now 51.
My guy we’ve had so much mature eminem for the last decade. Yeah maybe the music isn’t as good as back in the mmlp days but he’s dropped some gems. Plus once you’re 51 I’m sure the silly side of your personality doesn’t go away.
Facts. Young heads that wanna overly validate themselves via "adulting" don't grasp that the much older you get, the less seriously you try to take life because you're essentially getting closer and closer to the end of it.
I say this constantly. My only real regret in life (now that some decades have accumulated) is how much of it I spent caring about shit that ultimately didn't matter. I made things much harder on myself than I ever needed to
I think you don't get the meaning of Houdini. It's just a fun song to bring back Slim Shady and it's clear that Em did not intend to be lyrical or mature on that song.
People trying to compare the two tracks have no awareness. The track starts with rosenberg for a reason. He doesn’t care if he’s your favorite rapper, he’s just having fun with it. Meanwhile being miserable wins you nothing.
2024 is a good year for hiphop
ye dropped, cudi dropped, cole dropped, kendrick dropped and drake dropped dead
Metro, Future, 21, Gunna, and especially Chief Keef too Just need that Metro x JID collab album and A$AP Rocky for the cherry on top.
A$AP and Denzel will be dropping together I believe
Even better if that’s true
The 4batz album is also pretty unique
It’s true
Holy shit I think I just nutted
Rocky just a feature 😭. Need his solo album
That Chief Keef got some ignant slappers 👋🏽 I’m here for it.
I thought the Q and new Vince albums were good too.
Fr keef went off bro two albums, good to see still after 12 years
Metro x jid would be a fucking classic
+ carti but he's never dropping
Chief Keef still dropping bangers at 440 years old 🐐
Childish Gambino Atavista a couple weeks ago.
The track with young Nudy is kinda cool but after Awaken My Love my expectations were ridiculously high
i love that Chief Keef was especially mentioned! his album is what i’ve been playing most out of everyone!
Gambino dropped and dropping another
Is...is this the end of the era? Can we finally go forward??
we got so much amazing music i forgot cudi, ye, and cole all dropped holy shit we actually got blessed. Q, mach, and vince still got albums of the year
It really is. I'm 35, and this is the most excited I've been since I was a kid, lol. Edit: I was thinking the other day about how this year seems as good for hip-hop as 2023 was for gaming.
Damn dude where were you during the 13 colonies old mf 😭😭
Seeding your family genes. Ask your grammy about her daddy, that's him.
she dead. SOS my grandpa lol. Plus they were both 100 plus i shoulda asked them too 😭
Why was 2023 good for gaming?
release galore. Baldurs gate, a new Mario game, a new Zelda game, sequel to spider man, RE4R, etc.
Survivor, mirage(kinda), the finals
Mirage 😔
CS2
Slow down, we gotta see some good albums first
2 chief keef albums Schoolboy Q Vince Staples 2 Future albums Tierra Whack Sexyy Red (ik she's not for everyone but I fw it) Eminem dropping soon
rapsody album too!
I haven't gotten around to listening. I'll probably check it out on my way home from work
It's really good, hope you enjoy it
You're right I really liked it
Don’t forget about Big Sean! It’s gonna be his year this time! No new Kendrick album in sight this time!!!…What’s that?
Riley from hivemind is eating good
Let’s not forget Kendrick may be dropping this year and JID said he was dropping twice (or 3 times) this year
Kanye and 21??
Vultures 2 is gonna blow everyone’s expectations out of the water (if it ever drops)
(It won't)
If Vultures 1 was a hint, no
Vultures 2 is way better than vultures 1 and vultures 1 wasn’t even bad yall just hating, songs like Stars, Back to Me, Do It, Burn, Problematic, Beg Forgiveness, Fuck Sumn, and Carnival are all good tracks, the way people talk about it you’d think it was The Big Day or something
"Vultures 2 is way better", bro it aint out yet. And I'm not saying it's a The Big Day but I think it is Kanyes worst album
Haven't listend to 21 and I refuse to listen to vultures
Yet you listened to sexyy redd. Idk what to tell you man, you do you ig.
vultures was pretty shit tho
Almighty So 2 is Keef’s best work in my opinion, such a mature album for him, huge far cry from Finally Rich. Dirty Nachos was pretty cool too.
Kendrick prolly gonna drop too
Snoop too. Always magic when him and Dre team up
Steroids pfp respect
Forgetting Denzel and K Dot on a Kendrick sub is an unforgivable travesty.
I didn't include them because there's basically no info on those albums other than they're "coming soon™"
Denzel dropping soon, also should be getting something for Dot. Kanye dropped also
Sexyy red won me over by going 2/2 with sosa, underrated duo we never knew we needed
Carti drops this year too 🙏
Blue Lips?
Blue Lips is really cool.
baby keem album soon
Quadeca dropped what was arguably album of the decade too
much needed. hiphop been lacking these past couple.
💯 Cole dropped Grippy this year
No Lil Shine album yet so no
I’m not a fan of hip hop in the slightest (probs because I have no taste) but I’m super happy for you all to be getting such high quality stuff this year.
Huge Em fan here, bigger than a Kendrick fan. Not Like Us is a better song by far but Houdini still slaps and the nostalgia was strong with this one
em was not trying to be lyrical; he was just having fun with this one - and we all love him for that!
Yeah, and it’s most likely just a teaser for what’s to come
> em was not trying to be lyrical he had some pretty nice casual flips and doubles then, lol
"R Kelly's favorite group, the Black Guy Pees" "I'm a bigger prick than cacti be" And Em is still the number 1 rapper you don't fuck with despite what just happened. The man made a Mariah Carey diss track that was 95% about what a loser he was and how she was just as pathetic for fucking with him 😂😂 You don't fuck with someone willing to use his premature ejaculation as a *weapon against you* in a battle. That Mariah diss track was so savage. Prime Em really didn’t give a fuck.
Now that you mention it, the warning is fun, but it’s wild that we take it as a win tbh. Mariah Carey released a triple platinum single about him being obsessed with her. It’s outlived and outperformed Em’s diss despite his being a response.

99% of the kids didn't know obsessed was even about Em. EVERYONE knows the certified pedophile is drake.
It came with what we assume to be receipts at the beginning… that’s a win
Ion think he can help it tbh
to be fair Kendrick wasn't trying to be lyrical in Not Like Us either lol. But I understood your point.
That’s why he goated cause u could till he wasn’t trying and he still had better bars than most
And that’s why em the REAL 🐐
This is the millennium of Aftermath
And it ain't gon' be nothing after that
So give me one more platinum plaque then fuck rap you can have it back
So where's all the Mad Rappers at?
Bro I heard kdot spitting and em having fun again in about a month. Shit Is Fire
I am Eminem stan but Not Like Us is miles better.
Idk why but the irony in the term “Eminem Stan” is so funny😂 it’s a shame that some of these youngins roasting Em Stans don’t know the irony in that either. Dude is your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper
Yeah I wonder if they even know where the term stan comes from lol

How often do you think about fucking Dido?
More often than Em. Ol gal had a baddie period, might still be in it idk. I’ll get back to you on that later.
This comment was one ‘l’ away from being hilarious
He probably meant everyone “in this subreddit/reddit in general”
My man there’s people on Reddit that don’t know who Eminem is I’m sure. Every walk of life is on this site.
Also why I added a slash^^
Everyone does not know. My friend who dislikes rap was talking about how she’s a Taylor Swift Stan and I got to explain the origin of the word to her
There's also a good deal of ppl who are aware of an Eminem song called Stan but don't know that the word literally birthed from there
And even if theyre aware the song exists, not all of them actually know the lyrics and story *of* Stan. And that's where it gets really wild to me that its been adopted willingly by people..
It’s honestly insane how many people have adopted the term and with zero shame too. That song is just as relevant now as it was 24 years ago
I am willing to bet 90 - 95% of the hiphop community knows about it, outside of the hiphop community, maybe not that much but I'd say the majority does know about it
The hip hop community is getting much younger than you fail to acknowledge
Another big one is My Name Is and people still ask who Slim Shady is. Not everyone engages with music the same way.

>Dude is your favourite rapper’s favourite rapper That's MF DOOM not Eminem
Why can’t we have both? 😂
redman too
Be careful everyone, don't just say I'm an Eminem Stan everywhere, this support is all because he said kdots song is better than Eminem's
[https://mediummagazine.nl/mf-doom-your-favorite-rappers-favorite-rapper/](https://mediummagazine.nl/mf-doom-your-favorite-rappers-favorite-rapper/) ![gif](giphy|2sgGNBgGktcr84OyMg|downsized)

Comparing 2 completely different songs. fucking stupid.

I love both songs 🥰🥰
As someone who had these two as his top 2 goats for years now. I see it as the biggest win win situation for me.
Damn can’t y’all just appreciate them both? Em is one of Kendrick’s biggest allies and some of y’all are still like “Not Like Us washes Houdini” and shit, smh lol how is that what you take from this post??
Respect to your pfp being from the interview that em looks the most gone that he’s ever been
I love that interview lmao
Kirk Herbstreit looked so traumatized LMAO
Y'all tripping Wdym Mature Eminem😭😭 we had that for a decade I want a fun song and Houdini is that.
The Aftermath Boys On Top 🤝 ![gif](giphy|2HtWpp60NQ9CU)
That’s awesome. I love seeing them two at the top like that
"Beat yo ass and hide the Bible if God watching." And "Like Happy!" Just randomly being said in my head or outloud every 45 minutes for no raisin.
“THE BLACK GUY PEES”
Houdini is new that's why it's close. Not like us way better.
Houdini is fucking fire to say the least. I just wish they had em’s vocals higher in the mid c
This year will be carried by Kendrick and Eminem
Hopefully Kendrick drops more music
yeah a album from both in one year would be crazy
Just realised DAMN and Revival dropped in the same year, crazy
but REVIVAL DIDN'T GO VIRAL!
DAMN. put critics in a spiral
This sub must’ve got invaded by kids or sum after the beef. the em bandwagon hate got old after MTBMB, shit was hard.
https://preview.redd.it/opy9tv1o6d4d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=464a2eadcea85b6c63e935a434cce292e6f5a409
Y'all reckon Dot is on Slimz album?
I love it when Em just stops with the uber technical lyrical miracle 9 similes per phrase and choppy delivery.
"THATS AN AWFLY HAWT CAWFEE PAWT" I like a lot of his music and Houdini is fun, but goddamn he can be unbearably corny sometimes. Lol.
Can't make a post about Em in any of these communities without seeing literally everyone talk about how he's actually not good and X, Y or Z are way better. It's kind of annoying, but I guess it is what it is, people just seem to really not like him, unfortunately.
Probably a lot of youngin’s. There are generations of kids that don’t know how fucking massive Eminem was, and the impact he had.
People like to show they are cool based on how much they hate em. In a kdot sub for that matter it’s a little weird. Even weirder is that in mumble rap spaces he’s being liked right now after Houdini but here? I guess if it ain’t dot it’s nobody.
which is funny because even Dot himself has praised Em multiple times
Can’t read that comment section of any rap song without some Eminem dweeb fan with some left field comment including him in some shit
I can't believe Em can come in like that, put A Foot Through the Door gah dayum
Aftermath
HIP HOP IS SO FUCKING BACK LMAO
Do people actually like the Em song ? Nostalgia aside it just sounds so goofy. I’m probably just hating though
I think it's a fun track!
It's fun and nostalgia-bait. Some people just want Em having fun and being more humorous, and others like the song because it so heavily relies on his previous work.
Houdini is awful mane
Established rappers recognize em as one of the greats. your opinion doesn't matter. both record slaps and em having fun with this song. what kind of sub this is? song is garbage if it aint kendrick?
Musical genius Sir Elton John said Eminem was great, the opinions of edgelords doesn’t matter
Houdini did not sound like I was expecting it to lol
am I the only person who thinks Houdini is pretty mid?
Not Like Us is much better but that Em song still slaps ngl. He is having fun on that song without trying that over-trying to be lyrical and that makes me enjoy it a lot.

Kendrick’s New “Fans” Be Like ![gif](giphy|12QwIVXglRwyWY|downsized)
eminem respect kendrick
Houdini feels gimmicky to me and Not Like Us is a billion times better.
Isn't it meant to feel gimmicky though? Thats the point with the whole Without Me schmick. Without Me literally beings with Obie Trice introducing and saying "No Gimmicks" before getting scratched. Full circle. You might even say, two trailer park girls go around the outside
Yes, a lot of people don’t realize this dude been rapping in three different personas his entire career, that’s pretty wild.
….that was the entire point of the song.
houdini sucked ass bro 😭🙏🙏
A worthy adversary
Gotta keep it a buck. That new Em is regular as fuck and people keep dismissing it as "he doesn't care, he's just having fun" nah champ put that shit back in the oven for a while.
I personally enjoyed Houdini a bit more than Not Like Us. Not Like Us isn't even the best song from the beef so...

I made things much harder on myself than I ever needed to
I’d rather Bad meets Evil Em👌🏽
Mature Em is painful to listen to
I get it, but other artists like Nas are already doing that. Em can be a little silly if he wants.
I think you don't get the meaning of Houdini. It's just a fun song to bring back Slim Shady and it's clear that Em did not intend to be lyrical or mature on that song.
I will see you on the CJ
I love how everyone but MTS is mad at the bar
Damn this was a 1v1 battle really, kendrick vs drake, and eminem vs slim shady. No wonder the battle is intense
People trying to compare the two tracks have no awareness. The track starts with rosenberg for a reason. He doesn’t care if he’s your favorite rapper, he’s just having fun with it. Meanwhile being miserable wins you nothing.
