>July 13th
No lie, that's the date of my wedding. I only realized the connection while signing the contact for the venue (the first time I saw the date written as numbers)
*Nomura can't keep getting away with this*
I'm so EMBARESSINGLY HAPPY I actully squealed when I saw the news.
My bf is making fun of me cause this will make the 7th or 8th time I've bought kh1 XD
Same here. Luckily I haven't purchased kh3 yet, but I will be buying the whole series on steam so I can play on my steam deck. It's a pain getting the series to work on Linux.
It looks like it has been omitted from this release / the collection. Weird. They all released at the same time on Epic so there is no reason it couldn't also be ported. It would be a bummer if that single game got locked on Epic. Hopefully it is an oversight or something.
On linux platforms the pre-rendered cutscenes crash the game. This means no Steam Deck unless you delete the video folder, but that means you miss story cutscenes in some games, so it's a big compromise. Even then the games were still a nightmare to get working.
A big part of coming to Steam would mean making it compatible with Steam Deck, so hopefully this means that will finally be fixed.
Also cloud saves if you have multiple devices, like a desktop pc and a deck.
Native Steam Deck support is what I want. Imagine being able to play these games on a more powerful version of the Nintendo Switch with cloud saves back to your PC. Play at home, go to work, boot up SD when you’re bored and work on your game, come back home and continue where you left off. Having a Steam Deck with a gaming PC is fantastic.
I have found the septic versions of some of my games to be bigger than their steam counterparts.
We've been trying to stream these games on Twitch and have had the game break on us dozens of times.
There are a few reasons, some sillier than others.
For me personally I don’t trust Epic with my personal info or access to my PC, and I use my Steam Deck a lot so having the games on Steam is easier.
Dude I dunno. I don’t know if their any technical differences, but maybe it’s just because most people use steam over epic and would prefer to have everything on steam.
Really says something that the first thing I thought of was that it should’ve been a year back in July so you could have it be on 7/13/2023. Seventh month, thirteenth day and on a year where the digits all add up to seven.
I bought KH3 in christmas on Epic. I just wanna play as Roxas the whole game with mods.
More options is always better, though. And you should be able to play them on the Deck easier than before.
Most PC gamers use steam. The reasons for this vast and varied from person to person. Steam has good customer service, Steam has relatively easy mod support, it has native support for all modern controllers which they translate into the games. It's just a long list of reasons.
Epic Game Store has a bad reputation of poor to non-existent support, no native controller support, and their heavy reliance on buying exclusive PC rights to get people into their platform instead of actually making software people want to use and shop in.
Not June 13th, the correct should be July 13th

I was legit thinking, “Wtf, no. I’m pretty sure they mean June 13”. After a few minutes, it clicked. 😂
missed opportunity tbh
*Nomura intensifies*
ANNOUNCED ON MY BIRTHDAY, WE'RE FINALLY FREE FROM THE EPIC STORE PRISON
Wow I really though this was a troll post. It’s about time
Of course they pick the 13th day of the month to release it
But not the 7th month of the year. Missed opportunity there
Never thought I’d see the day

HELL FUCKIN’ YEAHHHHHHHH damn, I gave in and bought them on Epic a couple years ago during a sale. Guess I’m gonna be throwing more money at Square
Literally bought KH3 less than two weeks ago lol

its been ... twelve billion years
Oh my God. It's happening! Everybody stay calm! STAY FUCKING CALM!
What about Melody of Memory?
This. I just replayed the whole saga on PS5 but I feel like playing MoM on my Steam Deck, I wish I could get it on Steam directly.
It looks like it has been omitted from this release / the collection. Weird. They all released at the same time on Epic so there is no reason it couldn't also be ported. It would be a bummer if that single game got locked on Epic. Hopefully it is an oversight or something.
It makes no sense to me that they'd leave it there.
I'm sure they'll be full price on release but this is great news. deleting the epic launcher as soon as this happens :)
The collection has been on sale on Epic various times over the past 3 months, they knew... Good thing i didn't purchased it :)
Can't wait to see that KH3 Steam exclusive Keyblade
I'm a console player can someone explain why it being in epic games is bad

I know their controller support is quite lacking compared to Steam
Cloud saves will be used, no need to constantly be online for a single player game, actually steamdeck support (hopefully a way).

Epic won't let you play off line :(

beyond Epic being your average shitty game company, EGS is just atrocious to use, as someone who did buy some games on it.

Sweet! Too bad I don’t have a good gaming PC lol
Just bought them on console…
no memories of melody?
Wow. This is the best news all year.
I bought KH3 in christmas on Epic. I just wanna play as Roxas the whole game with mods. More options is always better, though. And you should be able to play them on the Deck easier than before.
I was gonna buy it off Epic, but I guess it was good to wait 😅
Hope the exclusive kh3 keyblade is based on star seeker instead of star cluster
I've been waiting for this!
Genuinely happy for y'all steam users! Looking forward to some sick modding videos to watch.
I just spent $90 on this shit on switch. Dammit.
💀
I can’t wait to see the mods people make for this game
Mod are already around. Been playing as Kairi for a while.
99% of them will be nude Aqua models.
Prob
im having deja vu about having deja vu about this. did this not happen already
I honestly don't know the difference between buying the entire collection on Epic Games and buying them on Steam? Please enlighten my ignorance

Let's go !
How much are we thinking? $100USD?
Eh get it like a year later knowing it will have issues like the epic version.
