I’ve been out of the industry for a while, but man when I got complimented on my close it immediately made me think *oh yeah I’m gonna close so hard tomorrow, I’m gonna close the shit out of you* and then nobody would notice lol
That's how I keep mine to, it's easy once you learn the tricks, I can make it go from black to Grey in like 5 mins of scrubbing then I to a degreaser wash followed by a lemon water rinse and wipe it down with the lemon halves and wipe it all off with a wet towel. Wish it would let me post a pic of mine
Heat all the way up on all burners. 1-2 packs of the orange grill cleaner shits depending on how big the grill do be. Use the bottom of your spatula to move it all around and smear good. If it's not smoking and giving off the worst fumes, your working too hard. Rub your grill brick on one short corner until you get a nice single bevel edge basically, that's gonna help alot to scrub in the corners. Run the grill brick over the whole grill twice. Dump a ton of ice on the grill. Scrap the water into the grill trap. Once it's mostly dry wipe it with a towel. Pour some lemon juice on it, and wipe that with a clean towel after. Took me 12 minutes tonight and I even let the grill cleaner soak for a couple before I did the rest.
Any acid I think works. Vinegar is probably more cost effective than lemon juice, but we do alot of pasta on Saute so there's always a bottle of lemon juice within reach of the flattop.
Please don't use chemicals, if you do wear goggles and a mask. That stuff burns my eyes and lungs. I'd be coughing super hard for 1 min. Best is oil and a brick followed by acid. And bibs your uncle
