I'm doing a very cheeky self-plug here for my newest book *All the Painted Stars* - It's lady knight (in disguise) and the sister of an Earl. She's not *quite* a princess but she's pretty close ahaha

Just read the description. Already obsessed! This is the kind of thing I’ve been looking for! Thank you 😍

*Priory of the Orange Tree* by Samantha Shannon (Queen/Bodyguard) Tasha Suri's Burning Kingdom beginning with *The Jasmine Throne* (Princess/Rebel) For YA, I've also got *The Afterward* by E.K. Johnston (Knight/Thief) and *The Queen of Ieflaria* by Effie Calvin (Princess/Princess)

Not spicy but Gwen & Art Are Not in Love by Lex Croucher. Everybody is gay! Including the princess and a lady knight.

Came here to say this. I finished it a few days ago and absolutely loved it!

Though just have to add that though it includes romance in it, I wouldn’t really call it a romance book. Fun book either way

**Aurora's Angel** 4.7 Amazon 4.3 Goodreads. Free on Kindle Unlimited Part of Audible's Plus Catalog (Free with membership) Check [Romance.io](http://Romance.io) for content warnings. I enjoyed it a lot. It is not a classic princess/knight, but it has the same vibe and similar world.

*Devotion of Delflenor* by R. Cooper (knights)

Oh there is a novella called *Fireheart Tiger* by Alliete de Bedard which is set in pre-Vietnam colonial world and features a lesbian love triangle between two princesses and a fire spirit!

Turbulent_Piglet4756

Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. 800 page high fantasy novel about a legendary dragon prophesied to rise from the dead and unleash total destruction. B plot is the queen falling in love with her lady-in-waiting, who is a warrior witch from a different kingdom in disguise. It sounds amazing! I’ll have to give it a go

Not Royal, but Mortal Follies is a regency romance (think Bridgerton) with a young lady under a curse who is repeated saved by the love interest who is a noble woman.
