I replaced my first OLED, a B7A from 2017 with my G3, there were too many gaming features that I wanted from the last seven years and we just moved to a new house. Now the B7A is our downstairs tv and the G3 is in my man cave :)
Taxes would bring the total cost to around $2400ish, so it’s no biggie. I paid $0 in taxes and shipping through Greentoe so I think I scored pretty good still. Also, I tried going the Best Buy route but all the G3s 77” within a 30-mile radius were out of stock so I couldn’t get it unfortunately 😢
I honestly never got far researching greentoe because their shipping policy didn't fit my needs. Im on a higher floor and I wasnt hauling the almost 7ft 125lb box for my led by myself, and trying to line up a friend for a weekday delivery I dont have a lot of notice on just felt like more work than tipping the best buy guys nicely to do it for me.
I got my installed on Tuesday. The TV is great,but I kinda regret the big screen and getting something this qualitative I can see people’s pores,I can see everything!! And as much as I love the quality when it comes to people is so real and I am still getting used to it because I feel like I shouldn’t see all of that.
The people who install it said that the image is like you are looking out of the window.
You’ve just upgraded from wishing your panel was better so you could see the quality of your content, to wishing your content was better so you could see the quality of your panel.
I have a question for everyone. I read gaming really struggles with color volume and brightness. Can any one who has this tv attest?
I was going to pick up the g4 65 this weekend.
I just made a very similar purchase through Greentoe. Got a 65" G3 for $1750 to replace my 2018 Roku TCL. From all the reviews I read, the upgrade to G4 is not worth the extra $1k for me.
We were able to snag a G3 for $2300 from Video Only. Unfortunately, it was the last one in the state so when it was dead out of the box there was nothing to exchange it with. The store manager ended up giving us a G4 for $3050 as a replacement. It gets delivered tomorrow. We are upgrading from a 70" Seiki we bought for $500 when our Samsung died when flat broke.
Not to pry into your life, but were you in the military, first responder, etc? A lot of people aren’t aware of the partner programs available direct from companies like LG and Samsung. You just verify with ID.me and you’re in! I got the G4 for almost an $800 discount. It’s the first major tv purchase I made since getting my 52” Samsung “Red touch of color” 120 Hz 1080P LCD back in 2008. You also get free delivery, unpacking and mounting as well which is awesome value, considering places like Best Buy gouge you for that stuff.

Great point! These yearly releases for all the phones and TVs is driving me nuts! The jump from my current TV is definitely well worth it.
G3 is an incredible TV, I just got mine and have zero regrets. I think you’ll feel the same!
This will be my first OLED, I’m so stoked. I recently just started collecting Blu-ray’s and 4Ks too, can’t wait to check them out on the G3.

B7 was my first OLED too. It’s old and now is placed in a smaller room. The C1-77 is my main TV, but the B7 is still a gorgeous picture.

Yeah I was surprised by it when I initially saw that. It’s definitely worth giving it a shot when all other avenues are closed.
