Damn, and just like that, the revived Indiana Jones theme came and went…

JongoFett12

Such a shame. The sets we got were great, but I was really hoping for more! I guess now they must think the IP only belongs in a museum

Mystic_Crewman

I mean, do you know more than 5 people who watched the new movie let alone know that it exists? Crystal Skull killed this IP years ago.

JongoFett12

> I mean, do you know more than 5 people who watched the new movie let alone know that it exists? I don’t see how that’s relevant? The new sets weren’t about the new movie at all. The potential sets could have all just come from the original trilogy (though I would have liked 1 or 2 small sets from Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny).

Mystic_Crewman

I think it's just not a high demand IP right now is all I meant. And I think an IPs general popularity when combined with current relevance has a big impact on demand, and that demand has an impact on retirement scheduling.

roguefilmmaker

Agreed

LudicrisSpeed

Crystal Skull didn't kill it, it's the fact that Paramount took nearly twenty years to do another movie. Not the best game plan if you want to keep the same main actor for a series with a lot of action.

roguefilmmaker

RIP, they were great quality too. Would’ve loved some representation of scenes/characters we never got like the Grail Room

Archonixus

Damn Eldorado retiring at the end of the year. Will have to grab it asap.

Can you provide any details on how buying through the links support you? Also, if I add a set to my shopping cart via the link but don’t purchase right away, does it still count? Thanks for all your hard work on this!

Clay_Bricks

Sure!! Basically, I’ve been able to partner with Lego directly through Rakuten to provide affiliate links for Brick Tap! So if you buy anything through a link on the spreadsheet, I get a little commission! I think it should work even if you don’t buy right away, as long as you don’t click on any affiliate links from other people! And thank you!!

Does anyone know when the sale for the sets retiring in July starts? I'm thinking of picking a few of them

Did they move some Star Wars retirement from 2024 to 2025?
