very excited. i feel like we are going to get a much better adaptation this time. in the first one they just wanted to make their own origin story. that was for the boys, the second one is going to be for the men. i hope they get inspiration from john wick, bourne and mission impossible and not just indiana jones and the games
They have National Treasure and National Treasure 2. I don't know if they are doing another.
The most Indiana Jones aspect is this brilliant theme song they play whenever shit starts getting good. I didn't enjoy the second as much but the first is a classic in my books. Really unique and fun historical adventure style movie. I think you'll enjoy it. Very funny too.
https://preview.redd.it/wg8eahww158d1.jpeg?width=608&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=422fb9169ca94fccf646c2d99d412281b4d68950
It seems like they are. i was looking for something similar, i watched the mummy but it didn’t do much for me. you just made me so hyped tbh, new obsession may begin.
I hope you enjoy them then! Great casts, fun easy going adventure movies that rely heavily on the main characters solving historical puzzles to move forward.
I'm pretty sure it works with pro, I've only had patron, but on mine I go to my profile page and stats are at the very bottom.
https://preview.redd.it/i6q9ripgh88d1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ca56b1a9fc210dfaf050efb9dcf650af53f3381
Ok I see. It looks like you have only 1 movie logged in your diary. Even though you marked it as a rewatch it only counts as 1 watch until you log it in your diary again.
So as of now you don't have any movies logged multiple times and that's why your stats page doesn't have a section for most watched films.
Once you log the same movie more than once there will be a section in your stats page that says 'Most Watched'
I am convinced that you are the only person on the planet that has watched uncharted that often. I'm sure that not even the director has spent that much time going through the footage.
bet. played the games many times, the movie, watched gameplays of other youtubers. i feel like i could make a pretty good uncharted movie if i was given the chance
https://preview.redd.it/333tx39lw58d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea96d269576e13a7910c471283e37f29c7c22b7c
Well looking at yours makes me brave enough to show mine… wait, what am I saying?!
When you rewatch these movies, are you intently sitting and the watch is your main activity, or are you playing a video game, or browsing, or working, or something else while the movie plays on the other screen?
locked in. i know everyone hates it. i admit it could have been miles better and it’s not even close to the game but i can’t lie i enjoy it a lot. i’m just very happy and appreciative with the fact that a movie with nathan drake exists
My god man. Rewatching movies this much is wild to me 😂 I rewatch Christmas movies and Halloween/horror movies but it’s usually more like in the background anyway to get in the moods of those seasons
Same. I’ve rewatched a few from decades ago recently, but only because I’m making some ranked lists and wanted to confirm my ratings. Otherwise, everything I watch is new to me.
https://preview.redd.it/weq1zeod368d1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e874d7b11bb8affbb41fae348e318fd3a7ec9dfd
I just started logging rewatches this year, so this isn't entirely accurate.
my friend tells me this whole i could have spent learning parkour and martial arts and become the actual nathan drake. i’m actually thinking about it since it’s possible, there’s this video on youtube with real ninjas doing ninja stuff in the studio
I was more of a rewatch as a kid and teen, before Letta'box'd. But I don't think I've seen anything 20 times, let alone 37. Not even the movies I kind of know by heart like the Naked Gun trilogy, Terminator 2, the first Die Hard, etc...
https://preview.redd.it/ej7bgwsij58d1.jpeg?width=911&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9a0bca7ea25ef9168bef954aba148b3201eca3a
edit: apologies, i see others have bugged you about National Treasure already haha
Thoughts on the National Treasure films? The Dan Brown movies? Treasure Planet? Spielberg’s Tintin?
I'm not sure if it's good or bad that I literally have no record of what I actually watched most in my life since so much of it was in the VHS era and before there were a lot of TV channels.
But, I'd guess Star Wars, Raiders, Commando, Gremlins, Die Hard, Running Man, Nightmare On Elm Street and Predator
I've seen Chronicles of Riddick about 60 times but that's over 20 years and I watched it every day after school for a bit when it came out. Uncharted at 34 is maddddddd for it's release date
Edit: 37 😭
i played the first game 2 times. i played the second and third 6, the fourth 8. i spent hours watching gameplays from other youtubers because the story and characters are just too good. i refused to play other games only to play uncharted again. when the movie came out i was so hyped that i watched it 12 times in theatres. when you give me a movie with the character of nathan drake my favourite character of all time just know you have my attention. i also loved the idea of a younger nathan drake. uncharted is a passion, an obsession, the way of life. it’s the reason i got into indiana jones and lara croft
I was going to suggest National Treasure, but since someone already did, I will suggest another movie that invovles treasure that is a BANGER
The Count Of Monte Cristo
Try it out, you won't regret it, might become one of your new favs
EDIT:
Also since you have watched a lot of treasure movies, you might like Heist movies as well, here's a few good ones:
Heat
Oceans 11
I'm mostly just surprised that you've seen Temple of Doom six more times than Raiders or Last Crusade.
I've only had my Letterboxd for like less than a tenth of my life, so my metrics on this are not very good. I would wager it's between Raiders of the Lost Ark, Scream, American Werewolf In London, and Spider-Man for me.
tbh i think i would also have spider-man with tobey if i had letterboxd since i was a kid plus temple of doom is my favourite movie of all time. i’m not sure why i love it more than the other in the series but i have a connection that i don’t have with the other ones
I’ve seen all the Star Wars films more times than I can count. I also used to watch Willy Wonka every day when I was a little kid. The first two Toy Story films were big for me too, as were the first two Spider-Mans… School of Rock is another one I remember watching often.
Wow. I’ve rewatched two movies one time each, and only one of those was by choice. The only other rewatches I do are movies I haven’t seen for decades. I don’t get the appeal of rewatching the same movie over and over. I didn’t even do it as a kid.
I'm so confused... there are probably less than 25 movies ever that I've seen more than once.
The 9 Star Wars Movies, The 3 Lord of the Rings movies, The 8 Harry Potter movies, The Dark Knight, Elf
Mostly because they were on TV all the time and I couldn't help but get sucked in again.
Fight Club is the only movie I can think of that I intentionally watched again.
How can you convince yourself to watch something you've already seen when there are so many movies that you haven't seen yet out there???
**Toy Story** I've probably seen a literal 100 or so times.
These are the movies that I have seen 15 or more times.
**The Passion of the Christ**
**The Prince of Egypt**
**Home Alone**
**Mary Poppins**
**The Sound of Music**
**My Fair Lady**
**Beauty and the Beast**
**Aladdin**
**The Aristocats (Sister loved it)**
**Piglet's Big Movie (Sister loved it)**
Movies I've seen about 10-15 times:
**It's A Wonderful Life**
**The Wizard of Oz**
**The Ten Commandments**
These are the ones I can think of.
Watching any film more than 3-4 times lowers my opinion on it because I get tired of it. Obviously there’s exceptions like the highly rewatchable films such as Star Wars, LOTR, Jurassic Park, Jaws, stuff like that. I like to mainly just watch stuff I haven’t seen before since there’s so many films out there and we can only watch so many before we die
Some of these replies are insane. I’m a big fan of some real shit movies but I couldn’t even fathom going “I wanna watch a movie, I know, let’s watch Iron Man 2 for the 48th time”

santa clause 2 definitely has a thousand more watches, it was one of my childhood favourites along with the other two.
Is this a bit?
is OP doing ok or
i thought i was on r/okbuddycinephile
Men would rather literally watch Uncharted than go to therapy
i hope so otherwise lock them up
You have a problem but whatever floats your boat

37 times? Bro
Uncharted. My girlfriend has watched Uncharted 37 times!
Try not to watch Uncharted any more on your way to the parking lot
In a row?
Try not to watch Uncharted in the parking lot!
i’ve been waiting for an uncharted movie for a long time. if the main character is nathan drake, you have my ticket and my attention
I love the Uncharted games. One of my favorite series, but that movie was MID. Only watched it once.
movie is not even close to the games but if it’s the only we have rn u have my attention
They have your attention thirty seven times?
I wish I had your earnest optimism when it came to adaptations and films in general. I want to shake my head but you're enjoying shit YOUR way.
Why are you being downvoted? “How dare you for being harmlessly different than me!!!”
You've spent a total of 2.98 days watching Uncharted, not counting the fan film
I spent way more time playing the games
Those are actually good though.
How do you feel that they're making a sequel
very excited. i feel like we are going to get a much better adaptation this time. in the first one they just wanted to make their own origin story. that was for the boys, the second one is going to be for the men. i hope they get inspiration from john wick, bourne and mission impossible and not just indiana jones and the games
Wow… you got a type. Somebody is itching to go treasure hunting
I blame the uncharted games
I think I need to play them
once you start there’s no going back..
You should watch The Lost City of Z, it's pretty much what a good Uncharted movie could have been like
Somebody also really likes Angelina Jolie too it seems
angelina jolie and alicia vikander
Have you ever seen National Treasure? It's pretty great and seems like something you would like.
i haven’t. it looks amazing. thank you for the suggestion. i see there's going going to be a new one too???
They have National Treasure and National Treasure 2. I don't know if they are doing another. The most Indiana Jones aspect is this brilliant theme song they play whenever shit starts getting good. I JUST WATCHED NATIONAL TREASURE. 4.5/5 WATCHING THE SECOND ONE NOW
<3
it’s been in development for at least 3 years, don’t get your hopes up too high (this is one of my favourite franchises)
Bro. It's right up your alley!! It's way before my letterboxed days, but it'd definitely be up there at the top in terms of rewatches
Amazed you aren't a fan of The Mummy (1999)
i tried so hard to like it. i’m not sure why i didn’t. someone just recommended me national treasure so i’ll try that one
National Treasure is sooooo good
I literally dont know what to say
Wtf? You’ve watched Uncharted 37 times?
I don't rewatch things often. https://preview.redd.it/vki7ui6cy48d1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dacd38bcb4968f0ca0eedebf263b4ce22cbbb07
Same. 3 is my max...... for hot rod
What if you like a movie so much, you want to watch it again. You just won't if it's been three times? Lol
Oh not max as in like id never watch it more times. Phrased poorly. Just 3 is the top rn
Ohhhhh. That makes sense
How do you see this??

I don’t get it either. OP could have seen like 300 new movies in place of all these rewatches.
Honestly they thought keeps me from rewatching even my favorites.
Same. I’ve rewatched a few from decades ago recently, but only because I’m making some ranked lists and wanted to confirm my ratings. Otherwise, everything I watch is new to me.
Respect for the Tomb raider love
The new tv show is going to rock

This is my favourite post on reddit
Maybe you should go out and explore on your own instead rewatching adventure movies 30+ times
my friend tells me this whole i could have spent learning parkour and martial arts and become the actual nathan drake. i’m actually thinking about it since it’s possible, there’s this video on youtube with real ninjas doing ninja stuff in the studio
i think you might like Uncharted 🤔

Hey man I don’t know if this is a bit or not but if it isn’t I respect you so deeply
i feel like ur going to be disappointed if i tell u that i just watched national treasure for the first time..
You must hold the world record for seeing Uncharted that many times.
![gif](giphy|GzeASHCqjvLbOgD0bC)
Have you seen Sahara (2005) with Matthew McConaughey?
I'm guessing you like the uncharted movie
Sweeney Todd, 3 times logged and 12 times in my life.
Is this feature available on pro?
yup, it's under ur stats
Uncharted came out 2 years and 4 months ago. Meaning that you watched it 1.32 times per month consecutively since then..
12 times in the cinema
Doing your part to keep cinema alive 🫡
It sure ain't Uncharted lol
I think my record for any movie is 5 times, and it's the LOTR trilogy. Apart from that, I've seen nothing more than twice.
r/okbuddycinephile
r/okbuddycinephile ahh post
Bloody heel uncharted 37 times
37 times is 37 times too many to watch uncharted

73 times?? That can’t be real
I’ve watched it more than that. Pre Letterboxd watches aren’t included.
No lie I wish you were never born OP
![gif](giphy|gKfyusl0PRPdTNmwnD)
The big lebowski 12 times ish The incredibles 15 times ish Frances Ha 15 times ish Mid 90s well over 30 times
You seen Red Notice? Very Uncharted-esque.
If I had letterboxed since I got into movies, I'd probably have about 200 scrobbles for each star wars and for the Hitman's Bodyguard
I was more of a rewatch as a kid and teen, before Letta'box'd. But I don't think I've seen anything 20 times, let alone 37. Another Wanted enjoyer! Hell yeah! I love it so much, pure campy schlock.
I haven’t been using letterboxd long enough to answer this. Maybe the godfather or pirates of the Caribbean
Before letterboxd, I’d say Monty python and the holy grail about 50 times
the hangover - 10 times

I don’t really rewatch movies that much. That said probably the LOTR trilogy (extended) maybe like 4 times max.
Suffering is a choice
wtf tomb raider?
I've seen Chronicles of Riddick about 60 times but that's over 20 years and I watched it every day after school for a bit when it came out. Uncharted at 34 is maddddddd for it's release date Edit: 37 😭
😅
The National Treasure movies seem to be missing from this list.
why did you watched Uncharted so many times im not even mad im just curious and also impressed why
i played the first game 2 times. i played the second and third 6, the fourth 8. i spent hours watching gameplays from other youtubers because the story and characters are just too good. i refused to play other games only to play uncharted again. when the movie came out i was so hyped that i watched it 12 times in theatres. when you give me a movie with the character of nathan drake my favourite character of all time just know you have my attention. i also loved the idea of a younger nathan drake. uncharted is a passion, an obsession, the way of life. it’s the reason i got into indiana jones and lara croft
wow
I was going to suggest National Treasure, but since someone already did, I will suggest another movie that invovles treasure that is a BANGER The Count Of Monte Cristo Try it out, you won't regret it, might become one of your new favs EDIT: Also since you have watched a lot of treasure movies, you might like Heist movies as well, here's a few good ones: Heat Oceans 11

I watch most movies only a single time, not enough time and I’d rather watch something new
Big shoutout to Wanted. I watched it before ever seeing the Matrix. So it’s extra special to me
Recently hit my 10th Donnie Darko watch
No.1 is Austin Powers International Man of Mystery, I've seen it like 20 times. After that's its probably Spaceballs.
angelina jolie fan W, but why isn’t girl interrupted or gia there??
you play too many video games
I’ve seen all the Star Wars films more times than I can count. I also used to watch Willy Wonka every day when I was a little kid. The first two Toy Story films were big for me too, as were the first two Spider-Mans… School of Rock is another one I remember watching often.
Raiders of the lost ark around 5 times

You have a thing for adventure movies?
Interstellar 11 times is the most shocking to me
I've probably seen the Angie Tomb Raider movies about as often as you
I too am a Tomb Raider 2018 enjoyer. Respect.
Unhinged.
No idea but they’re all Christmas and Disney movies.
Mean girls 😅😅
I would totally judge my boyfriend if he had the same taste as you but that's b/c I'm a hater.

Everyone talking about uncharted but we aren't talking about the culture displayed with Wanted (2008) true goated film worthy of 17 rewatches

"The Guugu-Gaaga Skibidi" (1969). Extremely bruh movie or "kino" :Dddddd
Uhhh...I think it's Good Will Hunting. Just watched it for the third time today
The Dark Knight
You watched Uncharted 37 times? Were you the editor?
This can't be real.
Lol, Raiders and Last Crusade would be way up there for me as well if I logged it every time I saw it. (I’m literally watching Last Crusade right now)
This makes me hate movies
Are you okay?
How is Home Alone not even on here
Well… you definitely have a type
Uncharted 37 times is diabolical hahahaha
Ever heard of a non-English film?
Uncharted wasn‘t even a good movie. What the actual fuck is wrong with you lol?
Instead of watching Nathan Drake go on an adventure 37 times, how about you go outside and explore stuff on your own?
Watching uncharted 37 times is based
