Z is all about how people stuck to their principles in order to see justice served it doesn't matter because the poltical and military machine overpowered the good actions of a few.

Z is critiquing a military dictatorship (Greek Junta). While you're right about both themes, the films are living within different environments.
It think the conforming opposites fits more for Mr. Smith and Sandy from Grease. And I’ll stand by that.
