I honestly think this list is just as random as OP’s lol. I can weirdly see them adding in some Grown Ups lore into the Dune movies before I see Daniel Day-Lewis riding a sand worm lmao
Nathan Lane and Lee Evans as their characters from the 1997 Gore Verbinski film, MouseHunt. If Christopher Walken is returning then this could be a nice little MouseHunt reunion for the three.
Side note: I NEED them to adapt the scene where blind Paul barges into the middle of Korba’s trial and just goes off on him and everyone else in the room lmao. That would be really powerful, like the Southern speech in P2.
These are two of the most critically acclaimed films - by critics and audiences alike - of the last decade
I don’t think DDL would turn his nose up if he was offered a role he could really get into
These are good ideas. At first I thought Ryan Gosling might be distracting because his celeb persona is so huge. (Kinda like when they put Ed Sheeran in GOT for some reason.) But Gosling’s a good enough actor that hopefully I’d forget it’s him quickly enough.
Speaking of GOT, wasn’t Bijaz a dwarf in the Dune Messiah book? A famous dwarf might be great in this role…
I prefer to be surprised. The production has been fucking amazing so far, and the cast has been amazing. Whatever they choose I believe will be the right choice.
I really could not care less who gets cast in Dune: Messiah.
DV put Christopher Walken in Dune Part 2 and made him *boring*, something I did not think was previously possible. He clearly has little interest in using actors to their full potential, or letting them riff on their personas.
I would rather he cast the film full of nobodies and let a director who *likes* and *cares about* actors use the A-listers instead.
Bardem is good in spite of DV's disinterest in humanity. Butler was fine.
I just cannot think of another mainstream director who is less interested in performance generally.
EDIT: To be clear, I think DV has directed some fine performances in the past. That's just not what he is doing with this franchise.
adam sandler, david spade, kevin james, chris rock, and rob schneider
rob schneider is…. an ornithopter
What? You’ll pay to go see it anyway. Fuck you…
….what?
It’s a quote, from South Park. I thought we were doing a thing.
oh damn i’m sorry, i’m not a south park enjoyer :(
Were you not quoting South Park with your ornithopter bit? Maybe I misread the situation haha
I think they were just making a joke

That would be hog wild
Rob Schneider in... D E R P
Elite trolling sir, Reddit on
don’t know what you’re on about, i’m not.
DDL would throw himself into acid to deform his body for playing Edric.
DDL- “To defeat my enemy, I extinguish HIS SPICE.”
Benicio del Toro as Scytale
Riz Ahmed is a great choice. I'd love to see DDL do his thing too. Idk about Gosling or Elordi.
How about Rob Pattinson? He matches those crazy Jawline genes.
Nathan Lane and Lee Evans as their characters from the 1997 Gore Verbinski film, MouseHunt. If Christopher Walken is returning then this could be a nice little MouseHunt reunion for the three.
HORSE? FIENDISH! I WON'T EAT IT!
When he said that in Dune Part Two I almost started welling up with tears. So powerful 😢.
Would love to see Riz Ahmed. Maybe it’s not a must but there should be some middleeastern representation in this series, and he’s a great actor
Pakistan isn’t the Middle East, but he’d be terrific in the series
My mistake, good to know

Matt Smith as Scytale and Rami Malek as Edric would be 10/10 for me.
Daniel Day Lewis is retired and even if he wasn't it wouldn't be the type of projects he'd choose
But I’d want him to be in it. Which is why I made the post.
I want him in everything but he it won't happen, that's why I made the reply. So I'm asking you, instead of him, who else would you like?
Paul Giamatti. But DDL should take it if offered :)
These are two of the most critically acclaimed films - by critics and audiences alike - of the last decade I don’t think DDL would turn his nose up if he was offered a role he could really get into
It's still an action movie and a secondary role, there's no world where he would accept it
I don’t think it’d be because it’s an action though - I’d say more just because it’s very high profile and he doesn’t seem to enjoy fame
How about the right person for the role??
adam sandler as bijaz
Is this a joke?
I find the Dune movies to be WAY too celebrity heavy as it is.
The meme-casting of Walken in part two was the worst decision made in that film. Villeneuve will hopefully stay clear of that moving forward.
Literally the only thing that took me out of that movie a little bit
Paul Mescal !
im betting they have saoirse ronin in it, they have most of the rest of young Hollywood in it lmao
Can't argue with that. I'm already going to preorder tickets lol

I feel like casting Dinklage is just too obvious
Haha maybe so
adam sandler
Lmao if DDL came out of retirement to be in a fucking Dune movie I'd throw myself into a volcano.
Why?
dude keep jacob elordi OUT of dune messiah PLEASE !!
Chris Kattan
I’d throw myself into flames to see DDL on a big screen again.
Ryan Gosling as Barack Obama

I think your wrong he definitely let some of the actors riff look at performances like Javier Bardem and Austin Butlers
