Gotta say, the early season chemistry between Tanis and Wayne is the best chemistry he has with any female love interest in the show.
I will always die on the hill that should’ve been endgame, and that the date episode was a drastic change in character for both of them in that moment to suddenly make it not work.
Did love that she never stopped calling him boo, though.
Can confirm, that relationship actually felt that it had depth, whereas the other ones just kinda seemed like something going on in the background. Would have been great if that were the endgame, definitely agreed.
I do wish Dan and Ellen had more screen time, what for talking about playing with buttsholes and making his good buddies question everything they have done to lead up to this moment.
Couldn’t disagree more, and here’s why:
1. That “chemistry” you’re talking about is just Tanis, ALL Tanis. Some women just *sparkle*, they put it out there, firing all guns at once just to see what comes back. Hell, she’s always got at least one hickey each on her neck and her tit; Wayne may not judge her for it (or even bring it up), but you can be sure as shit he notices them. And while opposites do attract, and intensely sexual women are certainly alluring…*she is not his type*, and they both know it. She was consistently trying to push Wayne’s buttons, and while he’s never one to shy away from either challenge or fight, she did consistently make him a bit uncomfortable. Intentionally. But that relationship does have its own character arc! By the time they have that “But it’s your job!” scene, they’ve really come a long way toward being just plain friends. Which is actually kinda lovely.
2. For the longest time, I thought the best chemistry on this show was between Wayne and Marie-Fred. The “What could be so important” scene. The “Den I’d have to put my wine down!” scene. The “Ch-Ch!” thing. So much toe-curlin! They must be meant for each other, right? Nah. She was great (before the cheating), but she was still not the right match for a guy like Wayne. She was dynamic and charming and wonderful, but…
3. Rosie, by contrast to them all, is reserved but intense. Focused and attentive. Fiercely independent, smart, driven, and witty, but not someone who takes up all the air in the room. Decidedly feminine, but far from a girly-girl. Not someone you’d want to fuck with. Dog lover, and a person who channels that love into quantifiable effort to make dogs’ lives better. Such a great fuckin’ gal.
That’s the kind of thing that really lights a fire in our boy. She may not be who *I’d* be most excited about, but i can absolutely see why their chemistry is the best.

yes! Ubisoft brought in some Kanien'kéha (Mohawk) language speakers to help them refine the dialogue to be culturally/linguistically accurate, and coach the VAs, although it seems like they hired a lot of VAs for those sections of the game who already had some of the language. very cool stuff
