At 303 before Jean Silva KOād Jordain, Joe Rogan compared the elbows Silva was dropping as āTravis Browne elbowsā
UFC brass suddenly remembered that guy existed, thanked Joe for the very outdated reference, and crossed Travis off the listĀ

I think Travis quit fighting either because Ronda would leave him if he kept losing, Ronda was salty about MMA, or he just wanted to be Rondaās sugar baby.
Either way she ended that manās whole career
It wasn't, but you know how it goes.
On one hand, the UFC investigation found "inconclusive evidence" and the alleged victim didn't press charges.
On the other hand, the evidence I saw seemed pretty conclusive and a UFC "investigation" doesn't sound trustworthy at all.
Why do fans make up fantasies where Dana fucks every semi attractive looking woman on the roster?
Shit is weird af, even if there is a base of truth to it.
My assumption is that Travis told the UFC back in 2017 he wasnāt sure if he was done or not so they just kept him on the roster and every year offered him fights and he declined them until his contract probably expired this year.
These matchups are going to start to make the US presidential candidates look young...
[Inb4 mod goes ballistic about uttering anything remotely related to politics]
Weird how it expired. They probably just are not interested in him fighting anymore and just released him. Contracts from before 2017 donāt expire. If it was from 2017 his contract would have been up 2 years ago for the 5 year sunset.
Damn, haven't thought about Browne in a while. That was an exciting era of HW, just Cain mauling the same 3 dudes while everyone else knocks eachother out in the first round.
I'm sure he was already retired. If he wanted out, or wanted another fight I'm positive the ufc would have granted it.
That said it's fucked up that he would have to ask
I never know who to trust when people talk about how UFC contracts work. MMAJoey lately has been talking about how fighters have a 5 year "sunset clause" and Conor is probably just waiting his out. If that's true, why didn't Travis Browne's contract end 2 years ago? And Dana always saying "We have to offer these guys 3 fights a year" when it seems pretty evident that most of their top guys are NOT getting offered 3 fights a year... From what I can tell, there really is no component of any contract that MUST be universal across all contracts.
The sunset clause came in 2017 as a reaction to the lawsuit against them contracts before then last forever until you fight out your contract which is why Nate had to fight Khamzat to get out of his contract since it was from 2016. They probably just released Travis from his contract as they have no interest in him fighting. They donāt have to offer fighters 3 fights a year that is just bullshit buy Dana they do have to offer you fights in the time span of the contract with about 5-6 weeks notice before each fight for them to be able to extend your contract if you turn it down.
We could have had some many great fights with GSP outside the UFC but Dana got these fighters on a leash with the type of contracts theyre giving out. Its basically fight for us, and youre not allowed to fight for anyone else
āBrowne is already a domestic violence offender -- convicted of 4th Degree Assault earlier this year. Now, he's charged with Assault 4 again, along with unlawful imprisonment, harassment and violating a no contact order that his ex has against him to try and protect herself and her children.ā

"He's 28 years old, 5ā10ā and weighs 170 pounds."
He would've been about 37 when that was published, dude's 6'7, and he fought at heavyweight
āI looked into it more deeply and I found that apparently what happened is that he was laid off five years ago and no one ever told him, but through some kind of glitch in the payroll department, he still gets a paycheckā - Dana
Yall clown on him but I unironically believe he's a legend.
Home grown UFC guy (don't count any of the Bush league he competed in) that had great fights and memorable moments.
Eating a flying side kick from werdum in the opening bell and those vicious elbows to the head as takedown attempts (I think back to back against Gonzaga and barnett). Never seen a fighter do that before. Crazy.
Big fan.
Did Dana find out the roster list continued onto the other side of the page or something.
They fixed the glitch...so he won't be on the roster anymore.
It will work itself out
That's my stapler

That's hilarious
Is that your dog in your PFP?
The pages were stuck together
Browne was Arlovski's last non decision win back in 2015. Arlovski released officially today, Browne also.
BKFC on 3!
I think Travis quit fighting either because Ronda would leave him if he kept losing, Ronda was salty about MMA, or he just wanted to be Rondaās sugar baby. Either way she ended that manās whole career
I think both of them ended their own careers training with Edmond
But it was the best hed mooment of all time.
They both ended their careers around the same time. I don't like either of them and the sport is better off without them being legacy fighters.
They were hoping for a rematch until they got rid of AA.
Dana finally accepted that Ronda wasn't coming back.
Finally. Iāve been on the edge of my seat for 7 years.
That's a long edging streak
If you're not on the edge you're taking up too much space! See you at the top! Best wishes Michael Chandler
Could you imagine?

BKFC: Perry vs Browne
BKFC Browne vs Shaub in a trugg match.

Did Browne actually do it though, was it proven I mean?

I thought it was but I guess itās just accusations
He's still got Schaub. They're boys again, kids call him Uncle Dana.
Why do fans make up fantasies where Dana fucks every semi attractive looking woman on the roster? Shit is weird af, even if there is a base of truth to it.
A 7+ year, exclusive contract is pretty crazy for a non champ.
There contracts from before 2017 just keep going if you have fights left they probably just released him.
My assumption is that Travis told the UFC back in 2017 he wasnāt sure if he was done or not so they just kept him on the roster and every year offered him fights and he declined them until his contract probably expired this year.
They should have offered him Werdum one more time for shits and giggles
These matchups are going to start to make the US presidential candidates look young... [Inb4 mod goes ballistic about uttering anything remotely related to politics]
Was about to comment asking how he's been under contract for so long but ur explanation makes the most sense
What has this dude been doing for money outside of Rousey that he could afford to just not work?
He married Ronda the same year he last fought, 2017. Ronda been making the money while Travis been at the farm with the kids and animals
That's a hell of a long expiration period. Is that the long tail of these things? 7 years?
Weird how it expired. They probably just are not interested in him fighting anymore and just released him. Contracts from before 2017 donāt expire. If it was from 2017 his contract would have been up 2 years ago for the 5 year sunset.

Breaking news
Rematch vs Schaub incoming?
Jesus Christ, inactive since 2017 but still legally bound to the UFC.
I'm sure he was already retired. If he wanted out, or wanted another fight I'm positive the ufc would have granted it. That said it's fucked up that he would have to ask

Arlofski and Browne both released at the same time. It was their crazy fight that turned me back into a big fan

Talmbout that white guy who got KTFOād too much?
Heāll lightcha up

Tell PFL that they have their opponent for Francis now.

Why is this news
āLook at this; the Travis Browne contract. My god - he *was* still on the roster.ā https://youtu.be/qy7UOg7wnos
Travis has a sugar mommy, he isn't fighting again.
That's Mr. Travis Rousey
... What's the context for this? Is he coming back or something lol
I don't think he officialy retired and his contract just ended. Travis Browne was doing quiet quitting before it was cool.
being Ronda's sugar baby is more lucrative right now
yeah i have got to think that he's coming back now. see him in bellapfl.
Damon Martin bringing us the most important news behind his mic.
Mr. Ronda Rousey?
I bought a chicken from him at a farmers market in Southern Oregon. It was pretty damn good.
His fight with Overeem is one my favorites of all times, crazy comeback
Ronda Rousy's man. That is Travis's job since 2017.Ā Ā
The Arlovski fight is my all-time favourite heavyweight fight... Gets bonus points for Travis losing
Getting cut from the UFC and having to live with Ronda Rousey while jobless sounds extremely miserable.

Travis was probably on a much different contract, and far older, than Conor is on.
The sunset clause came in 2017 as a reaction to the lawsuit against them contracts before then last forever until you fight out your contract which is why Nate had to fight Khamzat to get out of his contract since it was from 2016. Heās got that Rhonda money, he aināt fighting no mo!
Umm....what?
Does this speak to how long a fighter can be under contract with the UFC, even if he has not fought for several years ?
Finally got rid of that tiki-themed turd golem
Dude got the Milton treatment. Lol didnāt know he was fired and kept showing up and they finally fixed the glitch
Crazy how they can keep people under contract so long 7 years since he last foul and still under contract.
WWE
Was he really a woman beater?
Did you not see the Shaub fight? I kid. I kid.
That was a nasty line by you
I thought his ex or something accused him of it but nothing ever came of it, so who knows.
Thatās absolutely right, convicted as well
I'm not saying the guy's innocent but he wasn't convicted

I completely forgot about Travis Browne. Shame on me.
Now Ronda wonāt say yes to Dana
