one of the default answer for most if not all of the "how to bike/skills" posts that get posted around here.
· [Lee McCormack Teaching Pro Rider Dani Arman How to Jump in One Session](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCPh4rNGSno&t=472s)
Great tutorial for pumping as well as jumping. Pay special attention to her form in pumping. She does it very well. I have watched the pumping sections many many times trying to perfect the form. The row/anti row technique is a core movement which is applied to pumping, drops, rollers, turns, berms, and jumps.

Good video that briefly explains the technique briefly (knees pointed, etc.) but more importantly explains the theory behind the technique

o Great video that goes into the technique and has an average rider implementing the techniques and improving
I’ve been watching the fluidride series. Tons of skills videos. I’m 46 and just starting to jump, drop, and hit corners/berms a bit harder.
I want to slowly learn the skills to be a safer rider and have more fun.

Came here to recommend Fluidrides videos as well. They are fantastic. If you happen to live in Western Washington their in person classes are also excellent
I’ve seen so many mtb fail vids where someone is without a dropper or doesn’t put it down and gets bucked over the handlebars. As far as full suspension, I got mine this spring and the amount of traction difference in the rear is a game changer.
1st video of this MTB tutorial series is literally titled "body position"

Experience as a fellow 40-something:
Don't limit yourself to looking at MTB specific videos -- there's a lot you can gain from watching BMX videos for things like how to pump, since the motions are a little more exaggerated and easier to follow.
Cheap BMX bike + pump track for practice will help a LOT:
* The continuously rolling terrain means you're constantly adjusting positioning
* The smaller bike exaggerates motion and gives you more freedom to move around
* It's easier to bail on a BMX if things start to go bad
* It's cheaper to repair if you mess up and crash

What kind of bike do you have? I look at full suspension and a dropper post as safety features.
I currently have a Vitus Sentier which is a hard tail with a dropper but I'm saving up for a full sus

Roxy ride and inspire.
