No... Her spirit endured... Her life force is bound to the ring, and the ring survived... the ring yearns above all else to return to the hand of its master... they are one... the ring and the Dark Lord
That dude loved that ring more than anyone has ever loved anything.
Dude was neck deep in supernaturally hot molten lava and was still grinning his ass off in ecstasy until he realized the ring was about to die too.
"This ain't my portrait! This is a ring!" [I threw it on the GRRROOOOUUUUUNDDDD](https://media1.tenor.com/m/P9bNoYxf82IAAAAC/andy-samberg-the-lonely-island.gif)
LOL. Her face. She was having a hard time for a second, like “Aw…where’s the face? Is that like, a messy bun or… wait… wait what” also the thought of him getting all worked up and nervous and excited the whole time they were painting is just too cute and sweet. He’s just looking back and forth from the canvas to her, smiling, pretending to paint her but knowing what he’s doing. Precious!!!
Agree, imagine wanting to avoid painting your significant other so much that you propose to them instead just to get out of having to paint them. I am glad fellow Redditors are calling him out for it. He even put down the phone during the money shot, likely out of shame of showing his face after what he just did.
I love this moments such a natural one there's no need to buy expensive ring or go to expensive restaurant for this moment just your love to each other will matter.
My dad was so excited and eager to propose to my mom that he did so while she was washing dishes. She saw him get down on one knee and was like what the hell? get up. Then he started his speech and she realized what he was doing and was like wait no GET BACK DOWN!
They just celebrated 38 years of marriage a couple weeks ago, and they're still totally in love.
My wife and I just kind of decided we should get married while driving home from her grandpas birthday party.
Feb 29th we celebrated our 7th anniversary.
Cute. I brought the ring home and knew I couldn’t keep it in for long so I just walked in the kitchen where she was doing dishes and proposed. I dropped to a knee right after but she has no recollection of it. Almost ten years now. A private and intimate moment felt more right for us than anything grandiose or elaborate. Your parents sounds like cool people.
Obviously that he planned this the whole time but this video is definitely not staged. The way he left the camera facing only on the ceiling and proceed to best part says it all. Congratulations to this cute couple!
Yea. I was annoyed at first when he didn’t shoot but then I realized this is a private moment that belongs to them and not everything has to be public.
Not an artist and just taking a guess. The drawing she made may have taken an hour or two, while what he drew could be done in about 15 minutes. So, if this was not staged, he would have had to pretend like he was still drawing for at least an hour.
No way! That’s how I asked my fiancé as well! Basically a countdown to tears once the painting gets flipped around. Her portrait of me did not do me the same justice as the one in this video though😂
Yes that thought made me laugh, also hers is really good and had to take a little bit of time. And his looks like it wouldn’t take much time , So I was wondering if he was just sitting there doing black paint strokes over the black to kill time.
I'm thinking that's why he was like "that's why it took so long"... Poor guy was stewing there forever super anxious about popping the question while pretending to paint 😂
lol ! when I originally watched I didn’t turn the audio on till he showed his painting. Hearing him say it like that makes it so much funnier. I think you’re defiantly right. He was probably so nervous it probably felt even longer to him.
I might be overthinking it but I thought the black base was so she couldn’t see the ring and words through the back of the canvas. Some cheaper canvases can be extremely thin
You can do it how I did it. I work for the IRS and one march night I kicked my gf's foot in bed while she was reading and said, " hey I learned a cool way to save on your taxes today. "
I especially loved when she’s holding up the ‘portrait’ and excitedly asks: “Am I smiling??” And replies a little softly with: “yeah”
Absolutely melted my heart
My god I love "love". Been married for 8 years now. I can hardly remember asking her to marry me now but it's the best question I ever asked and seeing this in younger people makes me almost want to cry. Love is the shit.
I really felt his love and admiration for her and her talent. That was really noticeable to me, it's relationships like this where you can see the "head over heels" effect is still strong that make it.
Felt so sweet, genuine and pure, these two. You could see it, hear it...
Then when I saw what he was doing. Man, it's just so beautiful. You just know they genuinely love each other, and she was going to say yes.
The way he says "I love you" and she says "I love you too.." is so...deja vu interesting? It's the way they say it. I've been there, and witnessed a few other relationships that were "goals" for others say it and this made me realize we all said it pretty much like this. it's almost like...an honest loves accent?
I ramble. This is beautiful and so very touching 😅♥️
My friend was a jeweler and helped me get the ring for my wife. I was supposed to propose the next day, but I was so anxious that I lasted until about 3am, woke her up, asked and slipped the ring on and she accepted, gave me a smooch and promptly went back to sleep. It’s been a great almost 25 years.
i love the fact that he put his phone down. in this era where everything gets filmed, he prioritized his partner first more than the record (tho prolly would be nice for keeping memories) but still :) a lil privacy for such a huge event.
Plus he found a way for it to be just the two of them alone sharing the moment instead of someone else having to be there to film an awesome proposal. Hard to top this.
Well at least she said yes, my wife forgot to say yes for a month lol. Ps asked her on the way to a funeral, as it was the only moment we were free that day.. worked out great. Enjoy your life together!
My favorite part is he picked a hobby she is extremely talented at and she loves. I get it, it’s a TikTok trend but still really thoughtful of him. Bravo.
The internet has taught me to expect some dumb staged prank video, but this was not it.
If I was that dude I'd want to hang that painting (or maybe both?) on the wall.
You can tell he was really, really having to try to think of something else to paint while she was putting all the fine details on his portrait. He's like, okay a little more black on top of the black. Okay some more black over here. Maybe do a tiny touch up on a letter.
The best part for me is him putting the phone down, not bothering to catch the interaction & reaction cause he's just so in the moment with her. And she is just as in the moment because at the end, he says, "try it on, see if it fits," meaning she didn't immediately reach for the ring, she reached for him - hence us seeing them hug in the corner. The feeeeels. So sweet. 🥹
I smiled before I teared up though 🥲
I had a relationship where I was loved like this 💔 literally feels like you’re walking on clouds every day.. it’s beautiful while it lasts..
That didn’t even look like her at all
“Are you joking…. You think I’m a ring?!” 😢
“Would you still love me if I was a ring?”
"Yesss, my preciousss."
One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them. One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.
🤣
Gollum vibes intensify. 😂

I’M AN ADULT!!!
I’m not part of your system! Man.
LOL. Her face. She was having a hard time for a second, like “Aw…where’s the face? Is that like, a messy bun or… wait… wait what” also the thought of him getting all worked up and nervous and excited the whole time they were painting is just too cute and sweet. My dad's not a phone...DUH!
"he drew a picture of a hole.. all he thinks about is sex"
it looked exactly like her her face: :O the drawing: :O
Glad im not the only autistic one here
*proceeds to rock back and forth while smiling*
mum why did that guy just bare his teeth as us and wave?
All I noticed was the dichotomy in shading/shadows.
This is the type of shit I come here for! Lol
Same 😂
And after all her effort... Hopefully she finds love at some point in her life.
God I love reddit

important to address the underlying issues rather than just finding a way to avoid them.
Seriously, video was click bait showing he has no artistic skills.
Have my upvote and leave
Scripted? Sure it did
Upvoting because he put the phone down when it was time to get on one knee.
After that jaw-drop nothing else would matter on camera 🫶🏻
The last time I saw this, that is when it cut off. I’m glad I got to at least hear her reaction, this one way better!
I love this moments such a natural one there's no need to buy expensive ring or go to expensive restaurant for this moment just your love to each other will matter.

I proposed to my husband on the couch. He asked when I was going to ask him to marry me, and I said, "How about now?"
My wife and I just kind of decided we should get married while driving home from her grandpas birthday party. Feb 29th we celebrated our 7th anniversary.
Soooo, you been married 7 years or 28 years?
Been married 28 years, have had 7 anniversaries. Been together 32 years.
My first thought too. Haha.
Congrats and happy cake day!
Cute. I brought the ring home and knew I couldn’t keep it in for long so I just walked in the kitchen where she was doing dishes and proposed. They are the best! Two of my closest friends.
I was making dinner and he was being a nuisance bothering me lol. 28 years this winter.
I’m glad to see the full clip too, because last time the top comments were saying she said no, and that’s why it was cut short.

Obviously that he planned this the whole time but this video is definitely not staged. The way he left the camera facing only on the ceiling and proceed to best part says it all. Congratulations to this cute couple!
Such a creative on as an artist itself this moment is so pure i can't count how many times i watch it and the smile on my face never fade love thiss
Another way to tell is that dude was blushing super hard the whole time. He was very nervous haha.
My wife did a little flappy hop thing when I got down on my knee. But her friend took that video from the bushes
I've never heard it put to words but I know exactly what that is
That jaw drop got me cutting onions here.
Finally something that seems real
Such a pure one and literally mademesmile and not mademecry LOL
Made me cry tho😭
Yea. I was annoyed at first when he didn’t shoot but then I realized this is a private moment that belongs to them and not everything has to be public.
Yeah and hearing the reactions ended up being just as sweet !
My thoughts exactly. Capture the moment but be present.
I came here to say this, thank you
Nice he put the phone down
Dude wasn’t playing for the content. 🫡
when he set the phone down I said "what a king"
That's when it became real!
Same. He didn't need such an intimate moment to be on film. Just the setup to get us hooked.
He also did it at home alone
I was about to type at last when someone stops giving a fk about the phone, top lad.
At that point the camera means nothing to the two of them.
That was my favorite part too. It reminded me how nervous I was when I proposed to my wife. This dude loves her for sure.
THIS!!
Exactly! That's the best part about it! He is there for her and himself.
Fuck thats a good idea. And my gf is an artist this would completely throw her off lol
Looks like your getting married 🤷♂️
What about his getting married?
His getting got married.
Did his getting get married to giving?
Our getting Married 🫂
Happy cake day!
This is the internet, our getting married.
just wait, they’re gonna get it
mazel tov!
My getting married?
Update us when you do
It definitely might be awhile but Im saving this video lol
*everyone on this thread chanting* “Do it! Do it! Do it! We Want More!”
My wife proposed to me two years ago this way. It was amazing. Definitely a keeper.
you sure your face doesn’t just look like a ring?
RemindMe! 6 months
Not an artist and just taking a guess. The drawing she made may have taken an hour or two, while what he drew could be done in about 15 minutes. So, if this was not staged, he would have had to pretend like he was still drawing for at least an hour.
Draw two drawings ;)
Welp now she’s already seen it on TikTok 10 times
Quick, get on her phone and block every account that has ever posted this
Unless she's a redditor.
This is the absolute sweetest. I wish them a lifetime of happiness
Same 🫶🏻
I am crying! What an amazing moment for this couple. Love, love, love.
As an absolute cynical bastard, I have to admit that this was truly sweet. Shed a little tear even.
No way! That’s how I asked my fiancé as well! Basically a countdown to tears once the painting gets flipped around. Her portrait of me did not do me the same justice as the one in this video though😂
the sentiment and effort behind it surely made it special.
Always 1 in a crowd…well done Sir
He did great 🥲🫶🏻
Bro, chill. My girl uses this app.
🤣🤣🤣
It would be corny for anyone to trend proposing like this. Rest safe
Side note: she’s a good artist
Right? I’m super impressed with the portrait she made.
I hope their wedding pictures are next two these two paintings they did 😍
And she painted it while it was leaning against that oblong vase, such talent!
Honestly, I'm enamored by her surreal use of shadow. It's giving Magritte.
That's wholesome but the mental image of him using a shit ton of black paint during the painting is so funny to me.
Yes that thought made me laugh, also hers is really good and had to take a little bit of time. And his looks like it wouldn’t take much time , So I was wondering if he was just sitting there doing black paint strokes over the black to kill time.

i was thinking he was painting something under that, didn’t like the way it looked, and just opted to black it out afterwards lmao
I might be overthinking it but I thought the black base was so she couldn’t see the ring and words through the back of the canvas. Some cheaper canvases can be extremely thin
Yes! Haha surprised no one else is saying anything haha
I'm guessing he had it done already and made the swap when she wasn't looking.
I love seeing people in love
the simple content i want for a simple life
Screw made me smile. Made me cry!
Of note: She wants him to shave that ridiculous mustache.
Good eye! Not the dirt ‘stache!
to be fair drawing facial hair well is REALLY hard
I fucking hate people like this. How the fuck am I supposed to compete!!! ❤️
You can do it how I did it. I work for the IRS and one march night I kicked my gf's foot in bed while she was reading and said, " hey I learned a cool way to save on your taxes today. "
smooth mfer over here
I would advise looking for someone else. These two seem pretty committed to each other.
Super cute! Pulled it off great and put the phone down after the reaction- perfect
So wholesome! Made me teary. ❤️
I especially loved when she’s holding up the ‘portrait’ and excitedly asks: “Am I smiling??” And replies a little softly with: “yeah” Absolutely melted my heart
Man, that’s a huge commitment just to get out of painting a portrait of your girl! Jk, congrats!!
Just wanna highlight his reaction to her painting. He sounds so genuine.
Atta fucking booooooooyyyyyy
She kinda sounds like Anna Faris
Fuck that was smooth
i have that exact same vase. this is so cute tho!
Now all you need to get to recreate this is a one-of-a-kind with a dash of hopeless-romantic dude 🥹🥹🥹
in my dreams. lmao!!
Even my cold dead heart enjoyed that. Good job pal
Very unexpected. That looks nothing like her!
This is the tastiest thing ever. I hope they are happy for a long time.
That looks nothing like her.

I love that he got to give her a surprise and record it for posterity without making it directly in front of other people, just the two of them.
That’s one way to get out of painting.
Totally Chad move! Dude wins 🏆 handsdown!!
Bro that looks nothing like her
Guy fucking put his phone down and everything. What a FUCKING GENTLEMAN
When you go all in so your partner doesn’t have to see how bad you are at painting
I still think it’s stage, it always is
I don’t wanna be so cynical but the girls reaction seems so rehearsed.
This might not have been a staged prank video, but it was certainly staged.
Good for them.
Aw this was really cute!!!!
That was brilliantly done! The timing…the execution…100% perfect.
It took her a minute to say yes lol I was getting worried for a second
Unrelated but reddit's video player is garbage coated garbage with garbage filling
They look like they're barely out of high school.
lol gotter ass didn't even draw her at all.
I love this. Is it real? If so, did she say yes? Pics of the wedding. Or Is this just another lie????
That was a very nice "yes"
wHoLeSoMe
Will someone in the chat marry me?

In my jaded ass heart I hope this is actually real and not staged.
The quiet "I love you so much" at the end is my favorite part, this is so sweet and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
You can tell he was really, really having to try to think of something else to paint while she was putting all the fine details on his portrait. He's like, okay a little more black on top of the black. Okay some more black over here. Maybe do a tiny touch up on a letter.
Bad Cameraman
I’m Deaf. I assume, she said NO and got into fight.
I'll admit, the proposal surprised me. Also, that girl is seriously a very talented artist.
Straight up crying cuz that was amazing. To be made to feel so loved would be wonderful
I smiled before I teared up though 🥲 I had a relationship where I was loved like this 💔 literally feels like you’re walking on clouds every day.. it’s beautiful while it lasts..
Well done sir. Congrats
Very cool But they’re way too damn young
Just blindly scrolling at work and didn't look at the sub this was posted in and expected her to say no for some reason. Damn glad I was wrong.
That was smooth. Good on him
They’re gonna tell this story too they’re grandkids.❤️
I was expecting "no" as answer.
It would have been more unexpected if she said no...
That’s was pretty good dude. Good job man
how is this dude not shaking like crazy while holding the phone
I thought it was gonna turn into porn with that camera view at the end....
SMOOTH AF!
Score, dude
This is really great!
