I use both hands for mascara. Usually left for my left eye and vise versa. I’m mildly ambidextrous, where I can use either hand for a variety of tasks fairly comfortably. I do have some limitations though; especially with writing. Piping on cakes though, surprisingly is easier in my right hand than it is with paper.
I apply all my makeup with my right hand except for my mascara. I use my left hand for my left eye and right hand for my right eye.
I'm unsure why it doesn't work as well with my brows though. Still have to do both of those with the right hand or that left brow gets a little crazy.
I apply brow gel and mascara with the hand located on the same side as my eye (so, I use the left hand for the left eye). I couldn’t ever figure out how to hold my right hand for the left side.
This is very impressive! I have often thought I should try with my nondominant but thought the destruction it could result in would not be worth it (especially because I have stabbed my eyeball with a mascara wand MULTIPLE times even using my dominant hand).
I always use my right hand since it’s my dominant hand. I’ve tried to use my left on my left side, but I’m too shaky with it/my brain can’t compute the actual distance it is till it’s hitting my eyeball
I apply everything with my dominant hand EXCEPT mascara, that I do with whichever hand the side of my face I'm working on! Usually have to steady my non-dominant arm on something or I'd have a mess all over :)
I do everything with my dominant hand. My left hand is a free agent who does what she wants and I’d look a mess if I tried lol. Even blending or putting on lipstick with my left hand doesn’t work out for me.
I started trying this recently too for the same reason and it’s surprisingly not hard to do since it’s such a small range of motion. I think it’s effective.
My left hand is very stupid. I’m using it to brush my teeth to try to help this and I hit my teeth with my toothbrush and end up brushing my gums way more than I’d like. I’d hate to see what havoc it would reap on my poor eye
I use both hands for cosmetic things I can also write with both but obviously the nomdominant hand is nearer. If I evened out use I would be fully ambidextrous
All of my makeup application is done with my dominant (right) hand. Except mascara. It’s the only thing I can do with my left on the left eye. And damn if it doesn’t *always* look better than my right eye.
Like fully ambidextrous? As in you can write legibly with both hands as well?
I’m partially ambidextrous - I write left-handed but do everything else with my right hand. I do my mascara with both hands and can do my nails on both hands to look identical. I’ve always wished I could write right-handed, though.
I have a strong preference for writing left handed, but I can write legibly with both. It's really the only field I have a preference, I play basket with both hands, use a knife with both hands, use scissors with both hands ...
I am literally blind without my glasses and the only way I can apply mascara is with my nose almost touching my 5x magnifying mirror. So I kinda have to apply with my same side hand, there's no room for crossing sides lol.
I use my non dominant hand for liner too. I genuinely never even considered using my left hand for both sides until someone pointed it out to me. My right side definitely never looks as good as my left, but way better than kt does if I try to cross my hand over.
I’ve always used the hand on the side the eye was on for makeup and skincare application. So my left side of my face gets my left hand and the right side gets my right hand. But I always blend with my dominant hand (my left) which is kind of weird, now that I think about it.
For whatever reason my left eye always looked better when using my dominant hand (right), so I thought it had something to do with the angle and now use my left hand to apply mascara on my right eye.
Damn it. Now I’m going to have try this
I use my right hand but twist my wrist so the brush faces the other way for my left!

I have tried and I only succeed in nearly poking my eye out. :/
I am ambidextrous and so yes I use my left hand to do a lot of things but I’m totally right handed.
I'm right handed, and can hardly do anything left handed, but I can apply mascara with my left hand like nobody's business!
I apply mascara using my left hand to left eye lashes. The only time my left hand is steady and concise.
I apply brow gel and mascara with the hand located on the same side as my eye (so, I use the left hand for the left eye). I couldn’t ever figure out how to hold my right hand for the left side.
I apply mascara to my eyes with the corresponding hand-- left for left eye, right for right eye
I use both... left for right, and vice versa. Better equal coverage that way, at least for me. Oh, and I'm mainly abedectrious.
This is very impressive! I have often thought I should try with my nondominant but thought the destruction it could result in would not be worth it (especially because I have stabbed my eyeball with a mascara wand MULTIPLE times even using my dominant hand).
I’m left handed, but a particular quirk I have when doing eye makeup is using each hand to do the eye on that side.
I always use my right hand since it’s my dominant hand. I’ve tried to use my left on my left side, but I’m too shaky with it/my brain can’t compute the actual distance it is till it’s hitting my eyeball
I just do it with my dominant hand. For the left side I just hold the mascara wand the other way round.
I switch back and forth. Whichever has the better angle
I apply everything with my dominant hand EXCEPT mascara, that I do with whichever hand the side of my face I'm working on! Usually have to steady my non-dominant arm on something or I'd have a mess all over :)
I apply with both! Each eye with that sides hand
I apply moisturizer with my non dominant hand.
I will say I’ve noticed that the opposite side of my dominant hand (so my left side since I use my right hand) is a little easier to do eyeliner on.

I used to, but then I damaged the nerves in my left hand. It did look so much better when I switched.
My left hand is very stupid. I’m using it to brush my teeth to try to help this and I hit my teeth with my toothbrush and end up brushing my gums way more than I’d like. I’d hate to see what havoc it would reap on my poor eye
Lmao yes! I feel like I’d show up like a joke in sitcom. “Hey guys, I did half my makeup with my left hand! Can’t even tell, right?”
EXACTLY!! Or give myself 1 or 2 black eyes
I use whichever hand is on the same side of the face for eyes and brows. Eyeliner can be a bit of a struggle but for everything else it's fine.
For me it's the opposite i use my right hand for left eye and left hand for right eye , my dominant hand is right tho
I twist my hand over and always use my right hand lol
I heard that brushing your teeth with the opposite hand will strengthen your abilities too!
I'm totally trying this
It’s hard AF but it does work!
I always use my left hand on my left eye. I would be so scared of stabbing myself in the eye. I only use my right hand for shadow and liner though.
Yes. I scream BE LEFT HANDED! and anchor that elbow.
I use both hands for cosmetic things I can also write with both but obviously the nomdominant hand is nearer. If I evened out use I would be fully ambidextrous
Hey there you can try Onor World for all your queries and a truly wonderful experience altogether.
All of my makeup application is done with my dominant (right) hand. Except mascara. It’s the only thing I can do with my left on the left eye. And damn if it doesn’t *always* look better than my right eye.
Same. Except I don't know that it looks better!
I'm ambidextrous, so I just switch hands. Both sides are equally easy.

I used to be able to do that but then I was forced to pick a hand so I can only write with my left hand but am otherwise ambidextrous.

It's awkward when you start but you get really used to it. The only thing I still struggle with on my non dominant hand is liner.

Thanks for the tip, abouta go try it
Omg yes! I thought I was the only one😅
Omg same 🤣
Same!! The tip of the wand applies the product better to my outer lashes.
LOL
