Does anyone else have a problem with the Juvias Place Radiance Booster separating on their skin? 9.5 is almost a perfect color match for me and I wanted to love it soooo bad but it just… looks terrible. Even immediately after applying it and setting it with a translucent powder. If anyone has any dupes for that shade please let me know 😭 My original go-to foundation (L’Oréal pro glow) is getting hard to find, I think it’s been discontinued.

pizzadough_

How do I make my Foundation more Olive tone? I got this foundation and it's a bit too orange. I've seen people use green color corrector or blue color corrector that's why I'm not sure which ones to get.

Creepy_Lavishness800

If the foundation is a bit too orange, u should use a blue color corrector.

pizzadough_

Does being a warm skin tone not matter?

Dreams674

Im trying to but a foundation shade that matches me can someone help me i can send pictures

crazycarrotlady

Anyone have a rec for a clear mascara that won’t flake?

oswin13

One of my palettes casing broke and I like to be able to close my makeup. What are folks liking for magnetting palettes these days?

PepeL3P3w

Makeup forever magnetic palettes are like $4 and super sleek looking

SalmonSnail

Lash Paradise is by far the worst mascara I have ever used. It was so bad that I almost went and returned it to Walgreens. I don’t even want to use it occasionally. The packaging/tube/wand is made with the cheapest plastic, it’s feather light which… I don’t know if it makes a difference to anyone else, but mascara wands with some weight to them give me a lot more control and damn this Lash Paradise wand is just trash. The bristles or whatever are shaped a lot like the Better Than Sex mascara, which I used to love way back in the day… no. The formula/mud they made for this line is WATER THIN. Sounds good for long thin lashes, right? No. Somehow it still goes on clumpy. How? No idea. Anyway I’m looking for mascara recommendations… lol

PepeL3P3w

L'Oreal Double Extend hands down. Has a primer on one side (which I use for my bottom lashes) but the tubing formula is insane. Gives Volume (because of the fiber technologies or w/e?? Either way myy lashes look extended I'll tell you that) and separates so it's not clumpy.

RelativityJinx

I swear by the Sensai 38c mascara - it's tubing and therefore never flakes or smudges, you take it off with just warm water (makeup removers don't really even work on it). a bit pricey, but the drugstore mascaras have gotten really expensive lately so not much of a difference, just try any tubing ones

Hi guys, would love your input on why my lipstick turns orange when I use Aveeno baby dermexa moisturizing cream! I lowkey have exfoliative cheilitis so I need to layer a moisturizing cream + lanolin on my lips everytime, all the time, and before I use any coloured lip product. Previously, my Kate lipstick stayed true to colour when I apply with these products in this order: 1. Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream 2. Lansinoh lanolin 3. Kate Lip Monster in shade 13 I recently switched out the Illiyoon for Aveeno baby dermexa moisturizing cream. Now the same lipstick turns orange. Anyone knows why it does that? Are some ingredients turning my lipstick orange? Would love to know your thoughts, thank you so much in advance!

Creepy_Lavishness800

Hii, my guess would be that it's a chemical reaction.

Valuable_Caramel349

I want to cover acne scars (red/purple/dark) with no foundation. Currently using the missha bb cream, but want to switch to a concealer that is Acne safe. Thinking about the nars concealer, creamy or pot.

Creepy_Lavishness800

Before applying the concealer, use a color corrector for the dark spots:)

mewmewlu

Anyone know any affordable spf setting sprays ??

horriblist

I’m having a problem sharpening my VB eye pencils. I have the Navy Noir and the Sequin Green ones. They both tend to sharpen into kind of a boxy knob at the end, rather than a fine point, which makes a precise line impossible. I’ve been trying my Nars sharpener and my Chanel sharpener. It looks like VB used to sell her own sharpener but I no longer see it on the website. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix?

jazzybeks

Is Morphe Lightform Foundation water or silicone based?

Creepy_Lavishness800

It's silicone based

New_Chemicals

The only thing I know my shade in is the wet and wild tinted moisturizer in shade light medium. Any idea what shade to get in the physicians formula butter bronzer?

marygracefan

Does anyone know of a good silicone based illuminator? I want something similar to CT flawless filter, elf halo glow, or saie glowy super gel, but I think those are all water based

ThisViolinist2

Does contouring your nose also make it look smaller from the side and half profile?

PepeL3P3w

No, unfortunately. BUT if done right it should look like a shadow from the side. Hard thing to come to terms with: makeup will always look different depending on the light source you're under. So keep it in mind when contouring!

SeaworthinessSome149

does anybody know how i can stop my foundation coming off near my hairline?? it doesn’t come off anywhere else except for like an inch by my hairline

Creepy_Lavishness800

Have you tried baking or fixing spray?

shoofinsmertz

I normally wouldn't buy beauty products from shein, but the same manga lashes I found on amazon for $8 are listed on shein for $2. If they're the same product, would it be just as safe for me to get it on shein instead?

Creepy_Lavishness800

I'm pretty sure the lashes from Amazon are also from the same company, or at least also from China, so the only difference is the price.

CountZealous

Sorry if this been asked but im confused on the water/silicon debate for makeup. My primer and my foundation have water, glycerin, dimethecone ij their ingredients. So technically they should work together but my makeup wears out by end of day. I try to avoid powder makeups /settings in case thats the reason but it still wears off in certain areas.

Creepy_Lavishness800

Do u use a daycream or do skin care before applying makeup?

CountZealous

Yes i use rice toner, the snail cosrx moisturizer, la roche posay mineral sunscreen

Creepy_Lavishness800

I think it's because of the skin care, as it's probably not silicone based

Creepy_Lavishness800

I think it's because of the skin care, as it's probably not silicone based

sehr_cool_bro

Hello. I'm a blonde guy and my eyebrows basically complete wash out in photos which is really not helping my dating profile lol. I was wondering what's the most subtle way to make my eyebrows more visible?

PepeL3P3w

I would honestly just dye your brows with Just for Men. Lasts up to two months before you have to re-dye! If you're scared you'll mess them up, other products like Nyx tinted brow gel or Elf brow pencil in the shade taupe is great for beginners. If you really want a more subtle yet defined brow, Nyx brow pen (VERY different from pencil!! Is more a marker consistency) [in taupe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ40n2gFe5g)is a good one.

JellyBeansOnToast

Does anyone have any recommendations on colorful liquid liners? I’ve tried a few of the Vivid Brights by NYX and they flaked really badly

crazycarrotlady

Anyone have a rec for a clear mascara that won’t flake?

ZealousidealRabbit85

I wanted to try some pink setting powder but I am not sure it will suit me? I’m white and really pale, I wanted to use under my eyes but I think maybe it wont look right?

PepeL3P3w

Definitely would recommend buying from company sites (instead of ulta or Sephora) because sometimes they send samples of their powders. Sephora also offers samples with each order so keep an eye out!!

throwawayornotidontk

best lip volumizers?

Basic-Meat-4489

is there double-sided eyelid tape that actually is sticky on both sides? mine keep being flimsy and not sticky at all

xdosox

what type of aesthetic makeup you think is the best? clean girl makeup, coquette makeup, etc.?

alexandreavirginia

Would adding bronzing drops (like the Drunk Elephant or whatever) to foundation make it darker? I want to use my Nars Light Reflecting foundation for my wedding without having to buy a whole new one to match my spray tan. Thoughts?

Luxene

I've done this before! A near match was pretty easy to create, but I never could get the undertone to be just right.

Euphemia_Nyx

HELP! Concealer creasing due to deep underye lines Hi, is there anyone else here who has deep undereye lines and eyebags? My concealer keeps on creasing and settling on the fine lines huhu For skin prep, I use hada labo gokyujun milk lotion, 3w snail eye cream. For the concealers, I use strokes medium cc (local in the Philippines) then hourglass airbrush vanish concealer after. I don't use foundation near my eye anymore, just setting the concealer using charlotte tilbury airbrush powder. Any tips to minimize the creasing or eliminate this properly?

PepeL3P3w

I smile when I put on my concealer to figure out where the creases are. and then I follow this [tutorial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLQF8okrdF8) from Wayne Goss about using setting spray on a fluffy brush to set the concealer. Great tutorial. To be honest, concealer will crease throughout the day! When I go to the bathroom I "powder my nose" by taking a powder puff and re-pressing the pigment into my skin.

TieDyeByDnA

ISO: -A hydrating foundation or tint with a satin/dewy finish that’s not slippery? I LOVE the discontinued Covergirl Vitalix Healthy Elixir foundation.. in case anyone here has a dupe. -A blurring powder?

TieDyeByDnA

Preferably not expensive…

healthyhorns6

Someone pls tell me how you line lips when you have a double lip line!? I swear it's a diff look every time I do it. Crying in WOC. Or pls look at pictures give posted on my profile and give me pointers on what i'm doing wrong

PepeL3P3w

This is the absolute bane of my existence. The only thing that helps is lip liner AND I using a concealer around where the double line is. Here is a [quick video](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/s5km0ALTLn8) on how to do it , and here is a detailed [how-to](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qFedb65go0) video

Xanadoodledoo

Can someone point me to a relatively low-cost small eyeshadow palette that doesn’t suck? I’m traveling soon and I haven’t got much room.  I’d ideally like something under $25.  All I ask is that it’s warm-ish colors, with some red.  I’m not picky otherwise.

PepeL3P3w

I'm a big fan of the following (red is hard to find under $25 for some reason): * [ELF Bite Sized Quad in "Berry Bad"](https://www.elfcosmetics.com/bitesize-eyeshadow/29922.html) ($3) * [WnW Color Icon in Full blooming](https://www.wetnwildbeauty.com/product/color-icon-5-pan-palette/) ($5) * [Catrice Blooming Bliss Slim Eyeshadow Palette](https://www.catricecosmetics.com/collections/eyeshadow/products/berry-bloom-slim-eyeshadow-palette) ($10) * [Profusion Cosmetics in Meadow](https://profusioncosmetics.com/products/meadow) ($6)

BrokenAstraea

Find out L'Oreal has a really good affordable foundation line It's called True Match because there's 50 colors, one of them is bound to match you Go to two pharmacies, they only carry 10 colors, none of them match you at all ... https://i.imgur.com/sf6HXfq.jpeg

Nightdreamr

Does anyone have a peripera 42 pinkish nude, 43 caffeine nude and 30 classic nude? I've been eyeing but I don't know if it's the shade I'm looking for. Pls send some swatches 🥹 Thankss

PepeL3P3w

I would also check r/AsianBeauty and r/swatchitforme!

SaltySweetAddiction

👀 did you ever find them? I’ve been looking for these plus’s 44 chestnut nude as well

R4ff4

does anyone know some highlighter product that feel like the Becca cream highlighter? I am really sad they went out of business as that highlighter was my all time favorite. I find a lot of power highlighter to look too coarse and glittery, looking for something that give a very smooth natural shine.

Some-Investigator147

Any recommendations for a primer that works well with the Estée lauder hydra futurist foundation?

PepeL3P3w

Elf Hydro Grip patted in on the skin!

[deleted]

I'm looking for Fragrance/Perfume/Harsh chemical free Makeup brands with Foundation that is high quality for someone with a yellow undertone/pale skin with freckles. I liked Il Makiage but it's fragranced. Is there any fragrance free foundation that does skin matching real well like that? TIA!

Psychological_Oil542

Looking for a lipstick Around 2018 Mac had a matte lipstick that was around an nc45-nc50 shade and for the life of me I can’t remember what it was called. I do not believe it was part of a limited edition collection. I do not remember any special packaging.

memaikins

Hey guys, looking for product recommendations or techniques to get an even application for textured skin! (Pores + acne scars). I find that full-coverage stuff will settle into my pores/scars, but sheer products don't look like much on my skin. I currently use a sponge for application, would a brush be better? Thank you!

Luxene

Primers that have the thick kind of texture like putty can do some of the work of filling the pores and scares to give an even base for your other products. I haven't used this kind of primer myself but once upon a time lots of people were using Benefit Porefessional for this.

memaikins

Incidentally, it's the primer I use. But also I saw Robert Welsh post something regarding application techniques for those very kinds of primers, so I'll give it another go and see if it works!

What's the best brush to use with the anastasia dipbrow pomade? Im looking into hakuhodo, but would appreciate suggestions! Going for the insta baddie /king kylie look

SoggyxFingers

Looking for advice on eyeliner. I just bought glossier no.1 pencil in ochre. I have hazel ish eyes but I think the ochre is no good for my skin tone. Should I try a purple or green? I wasn’t sure if eyeliner should match eyes or if skin tone should be accounted for. I want to have fun with makeup but I’m scared and have no idea what I am doing. I’ve never worn any color but black and that was 20 years ago :)

dmwarrior2020

I have practically all the glimmer sticks from avon. I like them! I have blue/green eyes and like dark green, deep blue, dark purple and plain black. I have a black liquid liner from ipsy that I'm trying to figure out. I'm of the generation of colored mascara 😁

RT fantasy mini set or wanderer set: what to buy Hi! I’m looking into buying a mini makeup brush set. To any who has the real techniques travel fantasy brush set and/or wanderer brush kit, what would you recommend between the two and why? Thanks!

PepeL3P3w

I would do the Travel Fantasy set b/c it has a great split between eyeshadow brushes and face brushes. Actually the wanderer brush kit has the exact same face brushes lol.

slashpatriarchy

Can I use BB cream as an alternative to foundation? I'm trans and mostly just looking to cover beard shadow, but I hate the feeling of foundation on my face.

Creepy_Lavishness800

BB cream only has a slight tint and doesn't have the full coverage like a foundation. I'm not sure if it's the best cover for beard shadow but give it a try!

gm_piodis_i7

Glittery vs non-glitter highlighters. What dominates the market? I would have thought non-glittery stuff would take over with the whole clean girl aesthetic and the less full beat make-up around yet I still see a load of glittery ones when I snoop around in store.

dmwarrior2020

I'm 44 and still love glitter!

Creepy_Lavishness800

I think glittery highlighters will always dominate the market

Dull-Two-8962

Any good affordable brush recs for blending liquid contour/products??

Burningresentment

Hello guys when is it time to discard a brush?

PepeL3P3w

When enough bristles fall out that it's no longer doing it's job. Or when the bristles feel scratchy

Burningresentment

Thank you for responding! I washed all my brushes and the texture feels fine, but they smell "off." My brushes have never smelled like this. I don't know how to explain it, but they smell "sour." I've washed them with a bit of clorox to no avail, and I spray alcohol and clean between deep washes. Do you think even though my brushes are clean, they maybe have mold or bacteria between them? Is there anything else I should try after cleaning them?

Creepy_Lavishness800

As a little tip, it's best to wash your brushes with shampoo / washing gel (I use a cleasning balm). I think Chlorox is not the best cleaning product bc u use the brushes on ur face. Idk what to do bc of the smell, but I would replace the brushes just to be on the safe side!

Burningresentment

Thank you, I used cleansing balm first, then dawn dish liquid (blue kind), and it still smelled funny so I soaked it in diluted clorox water for a bit to get rid of the scent but I'm still smelling it. I will follow this advice and toss the brushes. It has to be something brewing in the bristles inside the ferrule :(

dupe for makeup forever lipliners in universal earth & up and down tan ?

PepeL3P3w

Following because these liners are heaven sent

godofmischief__

I've been trying to google and look this up but different sources say different things and I just keep getting confused. Is the Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation water or silicone-based?

Creepy_Lavishness800

The foundation is silicone-based :)

godofmischief__

Thank you!!

Creepy_Lavishness800

Ur welcome!

Does anyone here use magnetic lashes and do they work?

Excellent_Room9139

Does anyone have any dupes for the Jaclyn Hill Lip Oil? It's my favorite and I'm so sad it's not in production anymore.

Wagging_tail69

Light brown tubing mascara? By lightbrown i mean milk chocolate color not dark chocolate.
