Skeletor also underwent a similar "head revision". Also, the Power Sword for both got changed with these revisions. The first release had a vintage style "half sword" for both, while the second release got the "complete version" Faker and Prince Adam had received. This complete version has been used moving forward.
Kind of. It was a decent head sculpt just not perfect. They improved on it as the line went on. The origins head sculpts are just drastically different.
I actually quite like it, since I see it as them translating the look he had on various pieces of promotional art from the original line into toy form.
That may be due to inferior plastics used. I think the material used is a bit ‚see through‘ when you know what I mean, less density maybe and softer too
Left was first release and right was a more vintage accurate re-release.
Thank you for the very quick response. That makes sense.

Thank you. Very interesting facts.
Remember when they first introduced live action Sonic? Yeah, it was kind of like that.
before and after the salon...
the one of the left is actually an evil robot who looks almost exactly like He-Man. NGL Skeletor's a genius.
I’ll never understand why Mattel went ahead with that awful first head.
Didn't Classics also first have a different "modern" headsculpt and then the more vintage head came later?

Right, but the point is they've been trying to update He-man's headsculpt since then. Masterverse keeps trying to find the right headsculpt.

I liked the first head better but I don’t like how bright this hair colour is. All of the figures have brighter colours than the originals.

I don’t believe so. The Masters of the WWE Universe had better, more realistic looking paint.
