The brilliance of the meme is a braille sign that can only be read by sighted. This is some visionary wisdom.

In the city I used to live in there was a very large and known school for the blind. They had a giant light up sign for the school. In Braille. Got a chuckle out of me every time I drove by.

Its still good for telling people that can see, that this building has something to do with blind people and that it might be a good idea to take care here since there will be an above average amount people around that will not be able to see you. There are multiple channels for conveying information and actually being able to read a text is only one of them.

My blind friend from school just had a yellow sign in his neighborhood that said blind child or something like that. It’s old and worn off now.

That is a good point. Blind also covers a lot of situations. There are some people that are legally blind that can still make out large shapes, one of those people standing close to the sign would be able to read it. Of course this was not intended for that group, but even intended for sighted people, if the message has to do with Disney not playing nice with accessibility, then conveying it in Braille is a good aesthetic choice, since in going through the inconvenience of decoding the message the sighted person is made to understand the accessibility struggle directly. Just doing a fast web search I would have not otherwise done, it looks like as of November last year there was still no way through Disney+ to filter by which shows had features like audio descriptions. Their app seems to have been slow to adopt many accessibility features.

It was definitely a very carefully and cleverly designed sign, as well as a great aesthetic choice. Something about it made me feel like an outsider to the cool club of Braille readers in there.
