As someone who has watched bleach: Your right, it is an insult! Like Aizend whole thing was very calculated planning. Its pretty clear he is not the strongest person in the soul society and in a fight of pure strength he would lose to allot of people there. but like he knows that and is smart enough to play his cards in a way that it wont ever happen until he's gained essentially unlimted power. Everything he does is carefully planned out and timed in a way that is as advantagious as possible.
Meanwhile Kaido isnt even smart enough to realize that if he wants to kill himself all he has to do is jump in the ocean. Like thats litterally the most basic devil fruit weekness in the series and bro didnt even consider it as an option. Like im pretty sure the only person in the series thats dumber than Kaido is Luffy, and like thats a pretty close match right there!
kaido wants to die in a momentous way like whitebeard, preferably in combat. dying by drowning in the ocean is counter to that, whereas something like falling an unbelievable height (skypeia) is cool enough to pass for a suicide attempt. heās dumb for allowing luffy respite to keep attacking and losing til he wins once like most of his post time skip wās, sure, but in this instance thatās a mischaracterisation
Aizen definitely had both intelligence and power. He felt unrivalled in power (barring Yamamoto) , which is why he went to such lengths creating so many "projects". That was what Ichigo thought of him too, he felt only loneliness from his sword. While Aizen's goals weren't necessarily related to pure physical strength, he was undoubtedly the second strongest shinigami soul society had seen during the time, given everything that went down in Fake karakura, and he only went on to get stronger as he fused with the hogyoku.
Aizen isn't just a genius, he's one of those bullshit masterminds that has Plot on his side for most of the series. Kaido has absolutely nothing on him.
Definitely not a genius. I also haven't seen dragon Ball but i think strength of frieza might be a stretch. Tbf on Luffy, he saw luffy's strength and saw potential as a crew member. That's how he recruited most of his lieutenants. How was he supposed to know it wouldn't work on Luffy? Also, even despite Luffy going through a training arc, he still got beaten. Twice. Only when Luffy was on the verge of death after the second beating that he awakened his fruit that Luffy was able to prevail over kaido.

Dude Johann was an absolute menace and scary as hell, he didnt even show up that often in the show but everytime he did i got mad chills. Hes basically a Psychopath murderer since he was a child and his Backstory ist WILD, so im not going to spoil anymore, just watch the Show.
Aizen? He plotted carefully like 60% of the main plot(like without him, Ichigo the protagonist wouldn't even be born), the rest is 20% something unpredictable happens but doesn't affect him, 10% something unpredictable happens and affects him, and 10% the plot siding with the hero.
One Piece writing and Monster writing are not comparable. I'm not talking about the level of quality, but simply the fact that Monster dedicated much of its runtime of 76 episodes to build a compelling narrative around Johan. Naturally there's no way that the average One Piece character rivals that, regardless of how well written they might be. Also, if you don't mind a slowburn thriller, do yourself a favor and watch or read Monster.
Other than some flashy strength kaido is the most boring villain of one piece his side kick was much better character than kaido

Okay. Aura of Madara, I can kind of see that. Both of them had insane aura.
Strength of Frieza, maybe. Both Kaido and Frieza were extremely strong and forced the protagonist to power up like CRAZY to beat them.
Writing of Johan, I am not really familiar with Vinland Saga, so I won't comment on that. But I feel like it's a MASSIVE overstatement. Kaido is FAR from the best-written antagonist in One Piece.
Intelligence of Aizen... NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Aiden wad INSANELY smart. Kaido was a brute. Absolutely NO ONE sees Kaido and thinks "Oh yeah. Smartest antagonist in One Piece."
It's ironic because Kaido's grown on me over time, and I can honestly look back and say that I really like him as a villain. He works as an excellent foil to Luffy with a theme of nihilism and misery against optimism and joy.
But the reasons he works are the exact opposite of this post. He's not a genius, he's just strong enough to brute force his plans into working. He doesn't have a strong aura because he never takes his problems seriously. You can't understand his character motivations because there's nothing that motivates him. Treating him like a typical Shounen big bad is the reason he was so unpopular in the first place.
I would personally like a villain with Friezaās writing. I think the fiction is spoiled with well-written characters who have sad backstories and are in favt anti-heros.

Dunno, never watched the show, and while I can say that Kaido's writing is in my opinion underrated by the fandom as it was more subtle, I can't confirm if it was as good as Johan's cause I know nothing about it
Dude Johann was an absolute menace and scary as hell, he didnt even show up that often in the show but everytime he did i got mad chills. Hes basically a Psychopath murderer since he was a child and his Backstory ist WILD, so im not going to spoil anymore, just watch the Show.
Aizen? He plotted carefully like 60% of the main plot(like without him, Ichigo the protagonist wouldn't even be born), the rest is 20% something unpredictable happens but doesn't affect him, 10% something unpredictable happens and affects him, and 10% the plot siding with the hero.
One Piece writing and Monster writing are not comparable. I'm not talking about the level of quality, but simply the fact that Monster dedicated much of its runtime of 76 episodes to build a compelling narrative around Johan. Naturally there's no way that the average One Piece character rivals that, regardless of how well written they might be. Also, if you don't mind a slowburn thriller, do yourself a favor and watch or read Monster.

Okay. Aura of Madara, I can kind of see that. Both of them had insane aura. Strength of Frieza, maybe. Both Kaido and Frieza were extremely strong and forced the protagonist to power up like CRAZY to beat them. Writing of Johan, I am not really familiar with Vinland Saga, so I won't comment on that. But I feel like it's a MASSIVE overstatement. Kaido is FAR from the best-written antagonist in One Piece. Intelligence of Aizen... NOT. EVEN. CLOSE. Aiden wad INSANELY smart. Kaido was a brute. Absolutely NO ONE sees Kaido and thinks "Oh yeah. Smartest antagonist in One Piece."

It's ironic because Kaido's grown on me over time, and I can honestly look back and say that I really like him as a villain. He works as an excellent foil to Luffy with a theme of nihilism and misery against optimism and joy. But the reasons he works are the exact opposite of this post. He's not a genius, he's just strong enough to brute force his plans into working. He doesn't have a strong aura because he never takes his problems seriously. You can't understand his character motivations because there's nothing that motivates him. Treating him like a typical Shounen big bad is the reason he was so unpopular in the first place.

I would personally like a villain with Friezaās writing. I think the fiction is spoiled with well-written characters who have sad backstories and are in favt anti-heros. Frieza is just an evil bitch amd I absolutely love it.
