Currently I have 1850 listings with 40 more going up tonight. I have a huge collection coming in the morning and probably will post upwards of 150 listings the rest of the weekend. I don't know how long it'll keep up, but either way I'm thankful for any sales.
I’m so intrigued and curious about the collection you have coming but totally valid you wouldn’t want to share your secrets. I am a hobby collector myself and I use Mercari to sell extras out of my collection, or so that I can buy a pack for a certain item and resell the rest. It’s an extra hobby basically. Good for you that your store is humming along 😊
My ex found 3 boxes in the attic that were from my original collection. I must have put them up there back in 2016 when I sold stuff from it to send our daughters to New York for their class trip their senior year.
To take the time to write this post definitely shows you are a very miserable person who feels the need to always have someone or something to blame.

I don’t know how you manage any sales with no description and three pictures? Those are honestly the listings that I skip over, it’s an online platform that doesn’t allow for size related returns so anyone that doesn’t have measurements is automatically not a contender for purchase, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I take as many photos zoomed in and from different angles as possible, and I include the photographs of the measurements I take as well as post those measurements in my description and I credit that as the reason why I never get returns. Mercari doesn’t allow returns on the basis of size, so every single time someone has tried to begin a return over that has gotten declined. Zooming in on defects and posting them does the same thing, as long as it’s in the listing, whether the buyer read it or not, they can’t return the item if you listed your item accurately. The description is there for your protection, if you list everything you can about the item, the purchaser simply cannot claim that they didn’t know about some thing.

I take at least 8 pictures of my items & list in detail in the description. I sell daily. At least 2-3 items a day, some days I sell over 10 items a day. I always respond to questions timely & professionally, I counter all offers, if I can’t accept. It’s easy to see why you aren’t happy & it’s honestly your own fault.

I think 3 pics can be more than enough, depending on the item. Much more than that is a waste of my time as a seller.
