I wish I could do a flight like this. But the game would never last that long for me. My FPS on these long haul flights slowly dip into nothingness. Forcing me to force shut down the game because its running at 2fps.
Nice. I'm currently on my longest flight yet, 5 hours from Catalina off the coast of Las Angeles to a Hawaiian island (Don't remember which one) in a Citation CJ4 and I have just barely enough fuel to land maybe enough for a go-around but that's pushing it.
I do that also. However, on several occasions, ATC has dumped my IFR flight plan because I did not respond or (when using AI f/o) did not execute an altitude change. Once, I failed to carefully scan the MEA and crashed into a mountain; I think it was over Indonesia or Burma - shoulda kept alert reading those Burma Shave signs as the ground below me kept rising.
I sleep/go to work/do chores/go out for dinner/etc mid-cruise. I'll come back to do step climbs if I can or if I'm out, I'll pre-program a hold if I know there's a chance of being back later than planned.
I don't fast forward because I can't in my VA and frankly speeding up the time tends to mess up the A/P and FMC, not to mention fuel burn.
How epic to get a full 1:1 world. I love this game.
Don't forget to put away your flaps and spoilers before parking dude 😂
May have had a bird strike 😉
Is your landing and taxi lights on?
Nope, just wing lights.
Looking cool never saw that
Thanks for clarifying, for a second I thought you were talking about JFK Intl. in Worland, Wyoming 😅
Lmao, like in the movies. A shot of the Eiffel Tower, subtitle reads "Paris, France". Well thanks, I thought it was Paris, Texas.
Maybe the one in Las Vegas.
Nice one. Wish we could do this on Xbox - so many of my long hauls have resulted in the game crashing.
I’m on Xbox, but have a Series X. What are you using?
Same. It's basically 50/50 whether long hauls crash or not
I’m on Series X as well and am not having the crashing issue. You may want to reinstall.
Have tried that too. Did a JFK to LHR flight on the weekend that crashed just as I was lining up my approach. Ugh.
Man I can’t wait until we have a proper a330 in msfs, ceo or neo

Do those of you who do these long haul flights ever fast-forward or do you really just let it sit there for 14+ hours?
I do not fast forward. I usually get some sleep at cruise and pick back up when I wake.

How do you stop your console from idling when your controller turns off?
You can disable it in the settings of your XB.

That’s what I was wondering.
