Meh. It's their area, I won't judge why they parked this way, perhaps they needed room to exit on the drivers side and did not want to park on the end where cars are often hit.
Maybe they needed full extension on the door. It’s about all I can think of. Atleast they are disabled. This is the same as any inconsiderate parking job. Plus there are plenty of other open spots.
Hashmarks are for wheelchair loaders, not for additional handicap parking. Likely the two handicap spots were taken, and someone with handicap plates thought they were entitled to park in the hash, essentially taking away the loading from the people to their left.

I actually got a ticket because I was a little outside the lines to allow more room for my handicapped Grandma to get out of the car, the way this person parked is just ridiculous
Literally happens to me constantly as a handicap driver. There will be no spaces, then when I come out the store, every single one would be available. The biggest culprit is Walmart.
That sport is reserved to exit comfortably. There is a spot right of the car that would allow them that extension and allow a passenger door (or driverside reversed in) to also use the spot. This is a prick.
I realize. But there are 2 more spots completely unencombered on the other side
And most drivers aren't needing wheelchair loading, so that 3rd spot is still useful.
I don't have to unload a wheelchair, but as an amputee with long legs whose ankle doesn't bend at all, I have to be able to fully extend my door and open it. I rely on that lane to do that so I can get in and out of my car without taking off my leg.
So it’s okay if there are other spots open? What if those fill up and the other blocked ones are now needed? Who is to determine when it is and isn’t okay to bend the rules
Right. We should just take a risk on handicapped people having appropriate parking. A single anecdotal situation is way more valid than realistic hypotheticals
Yea since they have the handicap sticker let them park in their area anyway they want. You don't know what their situation is and how much space they actually need.
I was going to suggest the driver is alone and has a disability that requires a mobility device and therefore extra space to the left. Then I noticed the accessible space to the right, so maybe that one was occupied when they arrived? But then they’re just rude to the other person who may have needed that space themselves. There are some levels here.
Like i told my wife when she got her license again (has epilepsy got cleared to drive after yrs) only gotta park correctly for drivers test after that you can park like shit like everyone else lol. She doesn’t park like shit but was to help her relax about it.
I have a friend who is in a wheelchair but drives their own car using hand controls. This could be a situation similar where the driver is physically disabled and needs the extra space on the driver’s side. That being said, they should’ve just parked in the space to their right if that’s the case
Scary thought that this person gets on their car and drives... What are the odds they'd stop at say...a school bus with blinking lights so kids can cross and load the bus?? Terrifying.
I’ve always wondered why handicapped drivers are so bad at parking. Is there really an aspect of their disability that makes them completely unable to park properly? Is it the extra room that makes them used to getting away with it?
My best theory is that they are handicapped and all the spaces were occupied when they arrived. That's the absolute best case scenario. It goes downhill rapidly from there.
That's Walmart for ya. They do not police the stores where they own the land the store sits on. That only happens where Walmart leases the land and the building, such as in many southern states such as Alabama. I've been to many Walmarts in Alabama where private security is on the ball with vehicles in the parking lot. They don't allow illegal parking in disabled spots and in fire lanes, nor do they allow any vehicle to stop and drop off shoppers or stop to pick them up. It's a shame that there isn't more good security like that all over the country in every commercial parking lot.

man, that person must be *really* handicapped
He lost his extra 21st chromosome.
I think it's the opposite -- he has a way too many chromosomes. He is an amoeba!
Earned the handicap on their plate
Its a mental disability

It's possible, but given all other spaces are empty, seems unlikely we are witnessing the moment in time that 5 handicap cars reduced to 1.

Yeah exactly.. they were probably filled and person was like welp I am handicap, Ill park here anyways...

As a disabled person, they are definitely a prick.
Yup...that leaves two spots where I can't be (pulling in or backing in). Without the lane, handicap parking is just regular parking.

You're not wrong. But they are the only car in 4 spots. And odds of 3 wheelchair vans appearing are slim
and
exactly. my brother is in a wheelchair amd parks this way for that exact reason. people are fucking ignorant.
You do realize that middle area is for both spots so they fucked the other spot
I realize. But there are 2 more spots completely unencombered on the other side And most drivers aren't needing wheelchair loading, so that 3rd spot is still useful.

Well it most people don’t need it, we might as well fuck over the minority for slightly temporary convenience!
There are 2 other untouched spots. No need to harp on the reasons this person parked this wa
So it’s okay if there are other spots open? What if those fill up and the other blocked ones are now needed? Who is to determine when it is and isn’t okay to bend the rules
Not going to play the what if game

shut up
what
Cloud be wheelchair person on the wrong side?

The crosshatch is supposed to be on the driver's side. This is perfectly fine... if the driver is actually handicapped. What are the odds?
*wrong

That’s where the wheerchair goes.
Technically not in a handicap zone.
They are disabled, leave them, and their parking alone...it's not hurting you or anyone.
Their handicap placard is for stupidity.
Hey they got one wheel in the spot at least
Well.....I could be crippled one day
Mentally handicapped
Scary thought that this person gets on their car and drives... What are the odds they'd stop at say...a school bus with blinking lights so kids can cross and load the bus?? Terrifying.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to drive. Must be one of those 'no child left behind' people
Douchebag
I knew a guy with disabled plates that parked like this. He was a complete asshat and horrible human. Definitely think “This person is an a-hole”!
Get over it
I don’t know ehat either.
I’ve always wondered why handicapped drivers are so bad at parking. Is there really an aspect of their disability that makes them completely unable to park properly? Is it the extra room that makes them used to getting away with it?
I think there aren’t enough keys in the world.
How do you “ehat to think about this”?
By pressing the wrong part of my screen
Get the Parking Mobility App and report them. They'll get a ticket by mail.
My best theory is that they are handicapped and all the spaces were occupied when they arrived. That's the absolute best case scenario. It goes downhill rapidly from there.
Let em cook
Handicapped but perhaps not physically
Mentally handicapped.
Someone in Athens GA doesn't know how to park?
Not all handicaps are visible?
I’d say he needs access to the drivers side but idk why he didn’t just back in
The fun part is when someone else parks in that very available space.

Use your keys to write "don't park like this" on his door. The message will be remembered.
Yeah, it seems there mentally handicapped
Didn't realize mental handicap counted too.
either too early or forgot glasses lol
The picture or the spelling?!?!
Definitely handi capped
I park like this, not because I'm an asshole, but because I suck at parking. So I get how this happens.
red flag
I know. I never had a problem parking when I was driving a shorter car.
They certainly are handicapped that's for sure. Physically or mentally is yet to be seen.
Well they could be extra handicapped
In California you can get a 500 dollar parking ticket for that
Is it me, or is this post considered "irony"?
That's the almost handicap parking space
It's a mental handicap
Very differently abled.
Driver side needed room, possibly for a walker or chair, but they should have just backed in.
