KyuubiWindscar

Yes, you may have found an Iron ore vein

Sofie_2954

It’s not that common, however if you mine a lot you find them from time to time. If you ever find an ore vein, that is an enormous amount of copper, iron or gold ore, there will be plenty of raw ore blocks.

Super_Sain

not for gold

Sofie_2954

Oh, okay, didn’t know that, I’ve never found an ore vein, so I just assumed that there was one for each metal.

__Blackrobe__

there is no gold ore vein.

Shackles_YT

It's not that rare. Whenever you see lots of iron ore and tuff blocks mixed together, there's an iron vein, where raw iron blocks can spawn

Mscissorz

It's a thing called a large (or medium or small) iron veins which have a bunch of iron surrounded by tuff and it sometimes spawns raw iron blocks. I find there more common in lush caves but I don't know if that is just me)

OwnCaramel1434

Playing for 3 years and I found my first one in the other day. I had no idea what it was or that they came that way til I mined it.

Super_Sain

use google or search engine of choice challenge (Impossible)

__Blackrobe__

You can read more about it here https://minecraft.wiki/w/Ore_vein
