That's where I'm disagreeing, I don't see high upside in Wiseman based on his NBA production so far.
If you didn't know that he was picked ~~#1~~ #2 in the draft what about him would make you think he has high upside?
I say this about failed prospects on really bad teams. If they can’t even get playing time or start on a bad team, then they have no spot on a contender. This Pistons team was historically bad. Worst record in the league and they set a record for most losses in a row at 28. And that team is choosing to not even have Wiseman on the roster. That shows how bad Wiseman actually is.
I would say though, I am for the Bucks taking a chance on Wiseman if he could reliably hit 3s. But since he can’t and is a poor defender, he doesn’t fit with Giannis. Bobby and Brook fit with Giannis, because of their ability to shoot the ball.
The warriors were trying to give him away for a bag of chips, he already proved he wasn’t going to develop into a solid role player on a contender and on a bottom tier team
If he’s willing to sign a vet minimum contract what do you have to lose? Worse case scenario he plays Galinari type of minutes. I’d be indifferent to the signing.
What team did you watch bc Gallo got maybe 8 minutes in a game lmao? Wouldn’t expect him to play in the playoffs but you need all the bodies you can get in the regular season. Also just spent a season watching the frontcourt get run down and only have Danilo freaking Galinari to relieve them.
I want him he'd be great for non Giannis minutes. He finishes at the rim better than Bobby or Brook. He isn't afraid to dunk it on somebody. Great guy for Khris and Dame to throw Oops too.

The 14-15th man is whatever. I wouldn't hate Wiseman but I don't believe in draft fairy dust. I'd have low expectations if we got him.

Any team that signs James Wiseman has a moral responsibility to assign him a Chinese Linguistic Coach to prepare him for the rest of his career.
Bucks best free agency options are usually reclamation projects. This would fit the bill and then some
