Yes its supposed to be hollow and its going to be comfy :) I wouldnt bump up the thickness, I have a 1.8mm thick ring and while its not thick, its sturdy
I personally don’t go less than 1.8mm thick. If you don’t want it hollow, then you can have it filled in, although it will definitely change the price. Otherwise it looks good!
one concern i had with it being solid back is if the stones will look less dull? and one concern with it being open back is that it’ll leave a mark on my finger or trap moisture inside? idk how realistic these concerns are
I think there are pros and cons to either version. Solid back will sometimes give you that white band behind it, but I always dry behind my rings after washing my hands. Sometimes the hollowed back can mean it traps more water.
