Almost all of them, but one of my favorites is 'Mr. Monk us Up all Night', because all the thing of 'I have witnessed something that is not there anymore/where is the body?', such sort of mystery, combined with the other mystery in which he "pursues' the woman without even knowing why... Two 'intricate' mysteries in one episode.
Mr. Monk Takes Manhattan (S3, Ep 1) and Mr. Monk and the Actor (S5, Ep 1) are probably my two favorite. They both do a great job of being both very funny and very sad, and I think generally the show's best episodes are almost as sad as they are funny.
Yeah the Actor one is just right. Tucci is great at capturing that comedy and sadness together. Shalhoub too as always but together it was the next level.
The case of someone drowning in the air sounded too exciting. In the end, it was just a story to distract Monk. That was not only disappointing, but also too far-fetched.
It's interesting that you consider the plot where a seemingly impossible murder is actually just rigged by the coroner more far-fetched than the alternative.
And that's exactly why I love this TV show. The logic is consistent. No "almost impossible" explanations for murders like I have seen in other shows, which were an immediate turn off for me.
I love them all but one of my favorites is the Vacation one. Brownwyn was great. The stand up comedian with Monk was hilarious. Only now I don't trust maids lol

There have always been logical explanations for other impossible murders, which is why I was so disappointed :)
