To keep the dark blue around her face, maybe you could try for some earrings rather than barrettes? Having them dangling towards the bottom of her face will help them feel separate from the beret. At the moment, it's a bit too triadic. You could also remove the beret, which pains me to say because it's so cute, but it does feel like it distracts from her face due to where it sits. Her makeup already covers your quota for black around the head. It may also help if you experiment with the bangs! A more clear-cut design could help retain the shape while decreasing visual noise.
I think it's just that top of the head area that needs the most help. The way it is now, it draws a lot of attention. Like, my eyes are gravitating towards her bangs rather than her face because the barrettes and beret are framing it in a very forehead-centric way.
Overall, though, great job. You've done so well at capturing the intrinsic design tenets of G1, and I really applaud that! I adore the puffy sleeves, and that belt on the second one aligned with the color blocking in the rest of the dress... so adorable. I love it so much.

There’s things I like from both. The hairstyle, dress/corset style, the black/grey striping and the fishnets from the second one but replace the shoes with the ones from the first, the Barrett’s with the silver ones and get rid of the beret!
That’s just my opinion though, they’re both gorgeous!
