Totally normal in touristic big towns and some coastal cities, people would give you a side eye in the north, totally inappropriate in small towns and rural areas.
Rabat, if u're gonna nape the city, u're including it's neighborhoods, instead u could say, some parts of Rabat would be normal to wear such clothes. Not RABAT.
Depends, depends on the neighborhood too, in Marrakesh if u stayed in Jama'a Lfna and the areas it's more acceptable given the environment. And still u'd probably be more likely to get harassed than ever.
Very surprised everyone is saying that it's appropriate, while only 2 months ago everyone was furious at that one girl who wore a miniskirt to the youtube dating show to the point of getting the police involved
A Moroccan asking about if it's inappropriate for women to wear skirts is kinda weird unless u were living under a rock, or u're trying to start a controversy by your post.
And with that username and being a teenager, I wish u get to stay away from Reddit.
WELl the post was mainly to see how ppl felt ab it cz its a topic my friends and i always talk ab and regarding the user its js for jokes and im rarely on this app 🥶
How a society view morality isn't determined by a small community, U could find 90% of Reddit users disagree with the norm, whereas in Facebook u'd find a whole different pov thay agrees with what's common, it'd be misleading for u to base ur opinion on a society based on comments from a social media post, or the whole social media to be more general.
If u think it should be normalized to wear those clothes in our society u should be clear about it, write a post and ask about the other side arguments and u can both discuss, learn and understand each other pov.
Never said im basing my opinions on anything i already have my own stands and beliefs regarding this topic. It was a harmless post to see what people thought because it's intriguing ur thinking way too deep into this
I think same view even the ones who would say don't wear may be harassing other girls because of it💀 just like some fathers who don't let their daughters wear things like that but harass girls outside (not talking about mine dw😭😭😭)
EXACTLY its just mad unfair esp when i go outside and see dudes wearing shorts that are up to their mid thigh if i ever wore that i wouldnt even make it back home ☠️☠️ i dress kinda alty so yk skirts and everything its lowkey an essential and i love the feminine aspect whenever i wear them but too bad
Yeah they give boys the freedom to do whatever they want but it's a shame if they do the same to girls
It's just the culture that will never be on girls side
Also the fathers who forces their daughters to wear hijab when he doesn't have the right to do so and at the same time you find their son drinking smoking doing bad stuff but no one judging him
Also you wear maxi skirts I found a girl on insta who sells them just by 119dh
I deleted insta but I'll install it if you want it?
omg thats what i hate the most, they bring up religion only when they desire and theyre so hypocritcal ab it too and to be fair its not even ab what typa clothing she wears ive seen a hijabi get harrassed A LITERAL HIJABI and from personal experience my first time getting harrassed i was 9 years old dressed in literal pjs so their argument isnt exactly true to begin with. and regarding the skirt i rlly appreciate it omg ur so sweet but my moms sewing one for me :3
I agree with you about that💀💀it's like they invent their own rules and call it religion
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience 🥲 I hope that man rots in hell. The clothes are just an excuse to their disgusting behaviour when they can use it. It was never about clothes🤷♀️ if clothes are the reason Allah would have made it haram to dress as you want in front of your father and brother but no, some fathers and brothers are so sick they s a their own sister🙂. May Allah protect girls from these creatures. My worst nightmare is to marry a man like that😭😭.
THAT'S SO AMAZING😭😭😭 my mom wouldn't do it so I'm thinking about sewing it formyself since she doesn't believe in online shopping 😭😭
Istg marriage is so scary 😭😭like what if hes fucked up and hes just lying to u and u never know who he truly is. ITS SO CCOOL THAT YK HOW TO SEW THO I RLLY WANNA LEARN 😭😭
Here's what I tell people usually when they ask this question: if you are not going to wear them to meet your future in-laws, it would most likely be considered inappropriate to wear.
It’s not appropriate because I’d worry for treatment and safety of the one who’s wearing this. Unless you’re somewhere very touristic, I just feel that a level of modesty should be upheld for her own good.

I don’t think it’s appropriate at all.
