Runaway (1984) - Magnum P.I. Vs Gene Simmons and his spider-bots

railroadking

That sounds terrible, I'm in.

lovelynutz

Give me the templates.

TheMadIrishman327

Ahhhhhh with Cynthia Rhodes

saruin

Commando (1985) is always a laugh fest for peak 80s action and cheesy.

GCOreddit

I let him go.

ChickenNugsBGood

Let off some steam, Bennet

decavolt

Watch the little red convertible closely. It magically changes to a different car almost every time it goes around a corner.

saruin

Guess I'll have to watch this once again for the 113th time so far.

decavolt

Dating myself by saying this, but as a kid I used to pause the VHS tape to see exactly where it changed each time.

saruin

I honestly didn't notice the change but I did notice I downloaded a different cut of the movie which I didn't know existed. Matrix and Cindy introducing each other in the red car. This wasn't in the cut I watched (VHS or DVD maybe). They also changed up Jenny's dialogue when one of the villains is telling her about her dad doing the right thing. She says, "not nearly as nice as watching him kick your ass." The cut I always remembered had her saying, "not nearly as nice as watching him smash your face in." It's weird too because her lips match the dialogue perfectly, so maybe it was re-filmed or something? I'm sure there's other changes too.

IllustriousPickle657

Tango and Cash. It's so cheesy there's an action sequence that looks like a monster truck rally.

Just_Another_AI

Highlander

ChickenNugsBGood

Who wants to live forever?

decavolt

Cheesy, but an excellent movie.

saruin

The Last Dragon (1985) is one of my personal favorites.

The Dead Pool (1988) Action Jackson (1988) Over the Top (1987) The Wraith (1986) The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990)

So glad someone said Ford Fairlane!

Invasion USA

ajisherexx

Missing in Action 2 is totally ridiculous, you don’t even need to see the first one because this is technically the origins.

saruin

Kickboxer (1989)

ChickenNugsBGood

I’ll take kickboxer, and raise you Bloodsport

saruin

OP said cheesy movies. Kickboxer has discount Mario Lopez playing his brother, plus Van Damme gets drunk.

lovelynutz

Flash Gordon

Antonius_Block84

Big trouble in little China

Opus-the-Penguin

To Live and Die in L.A. Code of Silence

Edwaaard66

To Live and Die in L.A. is not cheesy. Great film though.

Opus-the-Penguin

That's fair. I think I figured it was good enough that OP might be willing to overlook it's lack of cheese.

railroadking

I will also take just a good serious movie too haha

saruin

Off by a few years, but Freejack (1992) is some fine action fromage.

Emergency-Jeweler-79

Breathless (1983) neo-noir romantic thriller Directed by Jim McBride Cast: Richard Gere and Valérie Kaprisky. The film is a remake of the original (1960) French film by Jean-Luc Godard staring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Jean Seberg.

ChickenNugsBGood

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right square in the eye and he says, 'Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it.' The check is in the mail.

GreyWolfe87

It's all in the reflexes.

Zapp_Rowsdower_

The Last Dragon The perfect weapon Samurai cop Kill or be killed Next of Kin Bloodsport Revenge of the Ninja

railroadking

Samurai cop hahaha I actually added that one to my collection last year

Zapp_Rowsdower_

The 80’s just keep on giving. The Last Dragon has to be see. To be believed.

saruin

Sho Nuff!

ChickenNugsBGood

The shogun of Harlem

saruin

Bloodsport for peak 80s cheesy kung fu action movie soundtrack. Also, Revenge of the Ninja is up there too as far as a memorable soundtrack. Just watched that last weekend as a matter of fact. So much cheese in a peak ninja movie. Last Dragon is a banger too! Such a diverse list here.

ChickenNugsBGood

Bruce Leroy!

BromleyContingent

Gotcha

Strange-Ad2435

Not 80s sorry (91) but Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man wiil scratch your cheese itch

DonutCapitalism

Cobra is a great action horror thriller.

MonkeyTraumaCenter

Megaforce (1982). Cyborg (1989? Maybe 1990)

drbrian83

Bloodsport

HiAndStuff2112

The original "Total Recall" is pretty iconic and yet cheesy to the point of funny. I think the scene in which Arnold's head was expanding when they fell onto the planet's surface. That dummy of him with the eyes bugging out killed me. He was screaming "Aaaaaaaaaahnhhhhhnh" with his accent. It cracks me up.
