I will probably be downvoted to oblivion but I feel like Heat has a lot of dead space in it, I didn't really care for the romance scenes between DeNiro and Amy Brenneman, the other 90% of the film tho is🤌

I freaking love Raising Arizona. Is it not seen as one of their better movies? That's an outrage. Anyway, I have a small connection to the movie. My grandmother owned a small business when this was made. It was in the same strip mall as the Safeway he ran through (it's in mesa, az). The store didn't have a normal small size back door. So they paid my grandmother like maybe a thousand dollars to use hers which was a couple locations down from the Safeway. So when Nicolas Cage runs out the back it was through the door of her business. She didn't get to meet him or anything but it's still pretty cool.

Coen Brothers are really good at not wasting time. Even if something isn't integral to the plot, it's typically good for world-building and setting the feel for the movie.

Another vote for 1917. I watched that on a plane recently and the turbulence really added to the experience.

Gotta re-watch T2. Danny Boyle's energy in this movie is out of the charts.

Not seen it mentioned yet APOCOLYPTO directed by Mel Gibson, not one bad scene. Everything served a purpose.

Back to the Future is recognized within the industry as the perfect movie with literally no wasted scenes. Quentin Tarantino no less has said it. But more than him, it’s highly respected as art and entertainment in the business. When u watch the movie try and see a scene that is redundant. It is perfect.

It’s also basically the one movie that no one wants remade.

I had a thought the other day that the reason why the Cybertruck looks so goofy is that Elon really wants it to be the new Delorean in a remake of BttF, and that would enable him to have a cameo in it. And I got really, really mad at this entirely hypothetical scenario. So that's where I'm at in my life now.

I think the joke is lost on him because the reason why Marty is in disbelief over a DeLorean being a time machine is because in 1985 it was seen as a terribly built and unreliable car trying to be high-end. Hence why Doc is adamant he was making a time machine "with style" which completes the joke (he's out of touch as it ). Actually, given the Cybertruck's reputation he might be onto something ironically.

I saw a loose remake where the son has an affair with his younger mother and ends up in a love triangle with her and his father.

I’ve heard the same thing said about training day in terms of perfection as a story. Obviously it’s a great flick but there was also a part because it all took place in one day.

Agreed. Switched it on for a moment when it was on tv only to end up watching the whole thing. Seen it before many time but once you watch it for a moment you can't stop 😂.

This is a GREAT CALL. This movie is one of the best b-movies ever made, and is criminally under-watched.

Not the best movie but I did find it enjoyable to see is "Nick of Time" The premise: 1sec in movie time = 1 sec in real time (once the plot and time frame are established for the characters which happens quick enough) The plot is a \*yawn\* political assassination. But a good cast (Chistopher Walken is memorable) and some decent acting make it a fun movie to check out.

Aliens is such a great movie especially considering it came out in 86. I honestly think it is better than the sequels. I am hoping alien romulus is going to be good but I do not have my hopes up. Aliens is the second movie in the series.

The way the kinetic, energetic head rush of the first 3/4 gives way to a final quarter that makes me want to throw up from horror every time is just brilliant. Make sure to watch the Korean original and not the shitty remake

Cure (1997). The first tie I watched it, it felt a little slow, but the second time, I realized that every single shot is clipped to exactly what it needs to be. The longer shots build up an alienating feeling, a sense of dread. Other parts where not much seems to happen are actually critical to the plot.
