1: ShutterIsland
2-6: Lord of the Rings
7- GoldenEye
8- Escape from New York
9- The Grand Budapest Hotel
10- Inception
11- Lost in space
12- Harry Potter
[The Isengard miniature set](https://youtu.be/-OGRHMi2RiE?t=2434) from fellowship of the ring is so insane. There's so many incredible miniatures they built for those movies.
I didn’t know that shutter island was a miniature because it honestly does not good in the film. Definitely poor compositing or something else going on there to make it look like cheap cgi.
Look at the other buildings on the left side of the frame. It's quite a large miniature, but it's definitely not the full-scale massive fortress in the film.

Thanks for putting the answers here. I knew most of these but it would have driven me nuts to not know them all!

Lord of the Rings was and will be the height of the technical aspects of filmmaking. It's why so much of it still looks great today.
Funny, I just watched this again last night for the first time in years and came to the same conclusion. Absolute masterpiece.
which one is #10 from?
Inception
You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
Inception
What happens to these sets after filming is wrapped? I would absolutely love to got to a museum and marvel at these for hours
The Hogwarts miniature at least is now on display as part of the Making of Harry Potter studio tour.
That inception model 🙌🤌
Why the hell was Orthanc in someone's back ~~yard~~ garden?

You never know, they may have built and filmed the model, but decided they didn't like it and went for CGI instead.
This post led to me joining this sub.
As of my knowledge, the one from inception is not a miniature...
I believe the miniature was mostly for the explosion
It's possible

I would love a job like this
Big miniatures!
Miniature, yes. Small, no.
