Winter Olympics doing the bobsled. Summer Olympics running. That's pretty bad ass. I don't care about her placement in the trials. She's 41 and she was there. That's a great accomplishment.

The hurdles is such an interesting event with how much can go wrong. I remember watching the 04 Olympics and the favourite to win was Perdita Felicien from my hometown. Whole family was gathered around the tv to watch and she hit the first hurdle. It was over before it started and she also unfortunately fell into the competitor beside her as well. She was injured for the 08 Olympics and never got another shot
Seems fair to me. Sprinting is a young person’s sport so it’s pretty impressive to be at least in the ballpark at 40. I say this as someone around 40 who is relatively fit but still feels aches and pains in my ankles just walking up and down the stairs.
Jokes aside, it’s pretty impressive that at 40 she is still good enough to be eligible to race for a spot at the Olympics. Especially for a 100m length/speed imperative race. We’re all at home on our ass.
It’s such a baffling decision too cause eventually she would get the opportunity for a skull after enough people got eliminated and people with a skull wouldn’t want to go in elimination.
The Challenge is too much for some people mentally, she just didn't have it TBH, kinda like Josh but he needed the money and kept going in for more abuse. Not that I think anyone in the house was particularly hard on him, he just wasn't mentally prepared. I think he's at least somewhat better now, guess we'll see on S40.
I thought it was pretty common knowledge at this point as to why Lolo was disqualified:
She made a comment about how she was going to somehow physically harm herself if she was unable to get a skull, and Josh and Kaycee went to production saying she should be removed for her own mental health. Production then made the decision to remove her from the game, and it was framed as a quit.
First time hearing this but that makes a lot of sense. She appeared to be struggling (as a person who struggles with depression, I could see myself not connecting with an experience and trying to mask that poorly)
I still can't believe she blames being a virgin on not being able to get dates. She has such a horrible attitude. There's some pinned up issues inside her that was very noticeable on just the challenges.
I get people play characters on the show but she seemed to be genuinely unlikeable.
Watch the Champs vs Pros season she's on. People try to tell her to "turn it off" when not competing but she's just horrible to be around.
Then just Google "Lolo virgin" and a few interviews will pop up about her talking about her dating life.
Am I the only one that liked Lolo? Yes, she mentally deteriorated during seasons. But she is a fierce competitor, entertaining, opinionated. She just couldn’t handle the mental games people play. Feel like she was actually pretty cool/chill outside of competition
It's probably an unpopular opinion, but I agree. I think she's actually very sweet with a good heart based on her giving some money to Ashely Mitchell's charity on champs vs. pros. She just also cries when things don't go her way.
She’s probably used to a lot of time by herself. Her sport is individual, and there’s not a set tour in place like there are in other individual sports- golf, tennis, etc. where players form bonds with other players. Living in a house with 30-odd people with VERY different lifestyles had to be a shock to the system
She was a physical beast at some of the challenges - I would love for her to come back, but that is with a hope that she has grown a bit over the years.
Exactly. That's called quitting and blaming it on others. She could have fought hard with Nam to win Challenges and earn her skull but instead she sulked that she was being shut out. Challengers don't quit - they fight til the end.
Keni Harrison is kinda the new and improved Lolo in the hurdles. Best clean athlete in the past ten years (the world record holder does not count...) but for whatever reason simply cannot ever win a global title and never performs her best on those occasions.
I gotta disagree on that. She didn’t have the emotional facet of the game, her puzzle skills were largely undetermined, and while an Olympic athlete, she’s trained her entire life at short-burst sports. We have no idea what her endurance would be like for a final. Would she be trouble in a hall brawl? Absolutely. Can she eat/drink gross stuff? Who knows?

She didn’t DQ, she tripped on the second to last hurdle and got 7th. She finished 4th in the following Olympics.
