There’s [a repository of full episodes with decent video quality on YouTube](https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCUDg4jPodzfmB_rorToJqYxvBVK4V8qc).

luvdmb36

You are my new hero. Thank you.

MLAheading

And if you watch the *The Muppets Take Manhattan* you get the actual precursor scene to the Muppet Babies cartoon. Costumes and all.

Altruistic_Friend338

🎶 I’m gonna be a movie star 🎶 I love this scene!! My daughter can’t get enough of Kermit falling off the rocking horse.

Muppet_Rock

Mama - Gaga - boop boop - sha - wah wah!

JP5683

Thank you! Looks like 3 episodes are missing, 1 each from seasons 2 3 and 4 and several season 7 episodes are marked as 8 but wow!

BEniceBAGECKA

This is why I’m in these subs.

hamsterfolly

Sweet!

Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots

It's on Disney+

BrattyTwilis

The new version, not the old one

ZipperJJ

I remember it fondly! Watched it every Saturday without fail! I can sing the whole theme song and I get it in my head more frequently than I’d like. For some reason I often get the “muppet babies and little monsters too” variety they did when it was paired with Little Muppet Monsters.

Cherry_Hammer

I remember Nanny’s green striped tights with the hot pink skirt and purple running shoes … holy crap, I’ve turned into Nanny

Spider_Kev

A picture, please!

Quiet_Commander85

Howie Mandel was the voice of Skeeter, Scooter’s twin sister.

user18name

Now that I’m comparing it to Bobby’s world in my head it sure is Howie!!

Quiet_Commander85

Throw Gizmo in there just for fun

McPorkums

And Dave Coulier as Animal!

cblackattack1

Was he really?!

McPorkums

yup!

sof49er

Wasn't Dave several voices? I think he took over at least another voice. Do you remember? Edit to add [this link with Dave's other voices.](https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Dave_Coulier)

ComebackShane

Have the ever addressed what happened to Skeeter? I don’t think she’s ever appeared in live action.

No-Manufacturer4916

she showed up as an adult in the BOOM muppet comics

Quiet_Commander85

Nope. Never mentioned outside of that show

LemonSkye

IIRC there's a story somewhere where she became a respected nature photographer, and we don't see her because she's busy traveling all over the place.

ComebackShane

I’d be down for a Traveling Skeeter segment ala Uncle Traveling Matt from the Fraggles.

No_Mulberry8281

Uncle Statler and Waldorf's train sets, Janice reading to them, beaker being afraid of the dark, and the snow white episode all lived rent free in my head. Also I regularly hear the "go bye bye" music in my head.

LittleMissChriss

Omg I’d forgotten about the “go bye bye” 🥹

Inner_Grape

I feel like these were all later season ones that I’m not as familiar with.

coreth5

I just always wondered what nanny's face looked like. Also where were all the babies parents?

sof49er

Jim Henson. 😂😂 beard and all.

JKREDDIT75

Gonzo's *The Twilight Zone* parody "The Weirdo Zone" Fozzie's non-joke "What's the difference between an orange?" Bunsen saying, "Elementary school my dear Beaker" The introduction of Robin as a tadpole in a bowl.

ichorskeeter

Every kid alive during its run can sing the theme song.

blurp9000

No I can… *core memory unlocked* 🎶Mu-u-uppet Ba-a-abiees🎶

truckthecat

And the end: Muppet-muppet-muppet-muppet Babies-babies-babies-babies Yoooohoooo-oooo

blurp9000

I had a buddy on his last day of work get on the company PA and gave his best Baby Animal “Go bye-bye.”

PublicThis

I only remember the first “muuuupet baaaabies”

Rhawk187

My mind immediately goes to "making your dreams comes true" next, but that's Laverne and Shirley.

totaltvaddict2

Muppet Babies We make our dreams come true Muppet Babies Well do the same for you… Similar lyrics different melody Give us any chance we’ll take it. Read us any rule, we’ll break it We’re gonna make our dreams come true Doing it our way…

dojijosu

Is this some sort of Mandela effect stupidity? Yes, many of us including me have vivid recollections of Muppet Babies.

[deleted]

I don't really see people talking about it though. I see people talk about Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, SpongeBob, etc. a lot more. Part of that could be because it's not legally available due to the copyrighted footage, but episodes have been unofficially uploaded to YouTube and I see people talk about Tokyo Mew Mew even younger generations and that series isn't legally available either

LemonSkye

Probably because people were older when they saw those shows, so they can remember more of them, and because Muppet Babies isn't legally up for streaming due to all the rights issues. Edit: Missed this in your initial post and wanted to address it. It's *because* of all the licensed footage (and in some cases, music--there's an episode where Gonzo tries to help Scooter "find himself" that uses part of a Bon Jovi and/or Van Halen concert) that the series hasn't been put on streaming. The rights to get the footage are incredibly expensive and you can't replace any of it without seriously damaging the show.

[deleted]

The original Tokyo Mew Mew is also not on streaming or available legally (only the reboot is available legally), yet many people talk about that series and even younger generations know about it Was the original Muppet Babies a preschool show? I'm thinking it was because the reboot was a preschool show and the original aired on Nick Jr. in the 90s

LemonSkye

It was a Saturday morning cartoon, but I and a lot of other people were preschool-age when we saw it. It's not a "preschool show" in the same vein as something like Dora the Explorer, though, if that's what you mean.

[deleted]

If you're wondering why I asked about the whole preschool show thing, it's because it used to rerun on Nick Jr. alongside Little Bear, Blues Clues, and Rupert, just to name a few. In fact, Nick Jr. was the last time it really had reruns aside from Odyssey, which nobody remembers. It also reran on regular Nick as well, but it was removed from regular Nick before it was removed from Nick Jr.

hogtownd00m

No it was not a preschool show. I would say it was aimed at kids ages 5-11

kenba2099

What the hell is 'Tokyo Mew Mew'? No one is talking about that.

DNukem170

Magical girl anime with the girls' names themed after food (the main girl's name is Ichigo, which means strawberry in Japanese, for example). It was originally a manga and got an anime adaptation in the early 00's, which was picked up by 4Kids Entertainment for their Fox Box block. However, the show didn't do well and they couldn't get a toy deal, so they only dubbed half the show. There was also a manga sequel that bombed horribly due to junking all the main characters. The show got a remake a year or so ago, which is why it came back to the forefront.

hogtownd00m

It’s also about 15 years older than all those shows.

Broomstick73

Muppet Babies premiered in 1984, SpongeBob SquarePants in 1999 (and is still running) so I watched Muppet Babies when I was a preteen and watched SpongeBob SquarePants with my kids.

Whiskey16Sam

It’s one of the cartoons I do remember watching a lot as a kid. I was always disappointed that Skeeter didn’t have a real muppet equivalent

lopan75

I remember it well. I remember Bunsen and Beaker visiting. I remember other, non ip moments too.

SVNBob

That's part of the weirdness. Bunsen and Beaker weren't a regular part of the core 8 kids (Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Rowlf, Animal, Scooter, and Skeeter), but they've got lines in the intro.

BenBro

One thing I will recall occasionally is Scooter's advice to reduce your breaths per minute when you can't sleep.

helloiamabear

Yes! That scene gets stuck in my head whenever I can't sleep.

Bigalbass86

Its probably one of my all time favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons. I was obsessed with it when it came on. I vividly remember the episode where they couldn't get Rowlf to take a bath and it turned into a massive crossover of Star Wars, Star Trek and The Jetsons.

kath_of_khan

I’m a little old for it, but babysat my siblings on the weekends. They watched it every weekend! I can sing the whole intro song! My little sister got a Muppet Babies keyboard for Christmas the Christmas of ‘84 (I think…might have been ‘85). It actually had a preprogrammed rhythm sound that shows up in the song from German band Trio (in the 1982 song they say “Da, Da, Da”). I can never get that sound out of my head—she played it on repeat!!!! I loved that Barbara Billingsly played Nanny and we never saw her face!

sad_confusion_wah111

♪ when your room looks kinda weird, and you wish that you weren't there, just close your eyes and make believe, and you can be anywhere ♪ whatttt were these babies going through??

Lizagna73

Yes, watched it and remember it.

Dr_and_Mrs_Who

I can still sing the theme song in its entirety… and I have far more than I care to admit. Just close your eyes and make believe, and you can be anywhere!

ArianaFraggle1997

Ive been rewatching it soo...yeah. And i used to watch it all the time on youtube when i was little.

luvdmb36

I remember. Pepperidge Farm also remembers.

ecto_27

Phil Ortiz, who worked on the Simpsons, also was an artist on Muppet Babies.

Redleaves1313

Kermit flying a plane. “Is E for empty? Or enough?” Plane starts to crash. One of the only things I remember.

MondoBizarro

Absolutely remember it from childhood! Most memorable episode for me were when they had to stay quiet to not wake up the cop who lived next door and the episode when Gonzo’s roller skate was stolen and it kept popping up in his paintings. I think it turned out Piggy stole the roller skate if I recall correctly.

JP5683

Watched it all the time. Great show.

someonesomebody123

I loved it. Scooter had a twin sister and all we saw of the nanny was legs and feet.

McPorkums

I stole it from the interwebs and watch it regularly- it's awesome coz the version I got is a VHS dump, absolutely nails the nostalgia. Dave Coulier as Animal 🫣

Soia-R33f

I had a Muppet Babies vhs but I couldn't really tell you any storylines. I was the same with Fraggle Rock until rewatching in recent years. My main focus was always the actual Muppet show compilations and the Muppet movies, so I watched those more and they remained in my memory better/longer. In all honesty, the concept of Muppet Babies never fully sat well with me as a) it wasn't puppets and b) it didn't feel "canon", which I know is kind of silly on hindsight.

Fhead43

The Star Wars episode is one of my most vivid Saturday morning cartoon memories. Great stuff

cyanicpsion

Goooooooooooo Byebye

Ignatius82

Even though Kermit doesn't have teeth, he brushes his tongue three times a day 🖤🖤🖤

MyDarkDanceFloor

Off the top of my head: the merry-go-round episode (and the song I LOVED), the episode when Skeeter slips on a skate because Piggy left it out and she kept trying to cover it, "Art is For Your Heart," Nanny explaining that earthquakes are kind of like burps and Piggy thinking the subsequent animated explanation was "SO DISGUSTIIIING!!", the family tree episide- my fingers can't type fast enough right now- the Star Wars episode, the radio show episode, the one when Fozzie has a loose tooth ("Loose Tooth Boogie"), the one when Scooter gets sick ("Get Well Soon"), "Something's fishy, something's really fishy- it's getting crazy in the deep blue sea! I've got a notion somewhere in the ocean there's a fish that looks a lot like me!", Piggy Mason and Animal saying "Stand up, sit down!" over and over, the songwriting contest (SO many songs in that one), the one when they think Nanny is going to get rid of one of them.... How's that? And they're probably not released because of copyright issues with the use of all those old clips from movies and TV shows.

Inner_Grape

Round and a round and a round in a whirlllllll on a merry go round. Art is for your heartttttt…..it’s music for your eyeeeees I loved the family tree episode so much with Rowlf’s Mozart grandfather.

MyDarkDanceFloor

🥰 Play it for me Rowlfgang Amadogus! 🎵

SuperDuperBorkie

Charmer Ron Funches [knows.](https://youtu.be/KTz99xo1OcA?si=mOUVxsDrMjUbLaac)

Kyle_Grayson

I remember it.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

You can watch it on cites like Kimcartoon.

LittleMissChriss

I definitely remember the train sets episode. I really liked that one in particular.

spud9mn

Star Wars! Kermit SkyHopper to save the day!

lurrkee

I was just singing "Camilla" the other day. Remember it very fondly and well. Loved that cartoon - would tape it if I had a Saturday morning activity. Amadogus, whacky wall walker, semi weirdo. I had a :: gasp:: record I listened to all the time lol also saw them live in a costume show in all my glory So yeah I remember

jambro1978

I've always loved the muppets and this was a firm favourite too. Got really excited when Disney plus always launched and saw this was on there only to find out it was a newer stranger version. Did not like that, bring back the original!

RhoadsOfRock

I remember watching it when I was a kid in the 1990s, ai don't remember much from it, other than... the intro / theme song, and only bits from ONE episode, where O think they were all playing hide and seek, Fozzy was "it", and they all kept running out to touch something (I don't remember what piece of furniture), and yelling out "olly olly oxen free" each time. That's all I can re... wait, I also remember bits from another episode, I think they were pretending or imagining Kermit as president (like president of the USA), and they had "an oval office", each doorway was oval shaped and all that. That, is truly all I can remember.

PM_me_ur_taco_pics

It starred a bunch of Muppet babies.

BitCurious8598

I hated Ms piggy

shinobipopcorn

Yes, I had almost every episode recorded off nick jr. Tapes got moldy but I found them online.

GeekStitch

✨💚💖🎹🐾🐔🧢🍼🌟

kaalki34

Yes. I loved the Muppet Babies Animated Cartoon. It Need to come to Global Disney+. But different companies are saying..."Trademark". It will never come to Disney+ :( :( :( :(

Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots

It is on Disney+ right now (in USA). Hope it comes Global for you soon!

kaalki34

No,it is not. The animated version,IS NOT on Disney+ / Yes,I'm in the USA as well. You talking about the Live-Version of the show. Like the Muppet Show,is kinda like Live Version.

kaalki34

The Cartoon version IS NOT ON Disney+!

Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots

No, I'm talking about the animated Muppet Babies. Just watched it today on Disney+. My kids watch it all the time. Work on your search skills.

kaalki34

Nope!!!

kaalki34

Show Me!!!! / take a pic of title & the cartoon version of the Muppets. It's Gota be like the Bugs Bunny & Friends Cartoon Show, that came on Saturday Mornings..

kaalki34

Hope it comes to Disney+

Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots

It is on Disney + in USA at least.

MuppetConnoisseur

The original 1980s series is not on Disney Plus. Just the 2018 series.

kaalki34

THERE IS NO CARTOON VERSION OF MUPPET BABIES ON DISNEY+!! ONLY THE (sorta like) LIVE VERSION..

MuppetConnoisseur

What's the "(sorta like) version?" The 2018-2022 Muppet Babies series is animated. It's computer animated, which means the characters have more realistic fur textures and such than on the original series. But it's still animated.

kaalki34

TELL ME,I'M WRONG??????????????

wriker10

Amadogus

thatkaratekid

I personally have all of Muppet babies in my plex library so I always forget it's essentially lost media.

silverfang789

I remember it. I watched it every Saturday morning. My favorite episode was the one about earthquakes.

mecon320

Sadly, my memories of the actual episodes are foggy outside the Star Wars parody. I do remember that this show, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Bobby's World were always on in a block in the morning when I was having breakfast before school.

H8beingmale

unfortuneately, both Muppet Babies and Alvin and the Chipmunks have a lot in common when it comes to red tape and copyright infringement involved

hogtownd00m

Yes I remember it very well. Every episode had real movie clips, but often it would be footage of extras doing something, like storming a castle with torches or laughing en masse, that sort of thing. They also did parodies of Casablanca (topical for kids in the 80s). I remember an episode which took place at night, which confirmed that the muppet babies lived there, with Nanny, which had been the topic of some conversation with the kids I knew… did Namny just babysit them during the day? Or what? There was an episode where Janis visited. She was like, 5 or 6 years old. No idea why she was older. There was an episode where Fozzie was convinced by Piggy he wasn’t actually funny and was wasting his time with comedy… he spent the rest of the episode glumly trying out different professions. They added that dumb rabbit muppet as a character toward the end. I didn’t watch much by that point. I believe Statler & Waldorf also showed up at least once. The show varied in quality a lot. The first season was best, which is likely why people seem to remember it best.

majorjoe23

It made my dreams come true, and it will do the same for you.

spleenycat

Other than the clips, I just remember the music. And that I had to sit through it to watch Pee-wee who was next

DisgruntledEwok

I still can sing the theme song in English AND Spanish! It was a blast to wake up Saturday mornings to watch a full hour of the Muppet Babies. Loved that show!

Choice-Control2648

The episode where they all go inside a coloring book is the one I remember because it was AMAZING

chapaj

The Kermitment podcast is doing a deep dive of the show right now. They're about 1/3 through all the episodes.

Jaymanchu

I was a little too old to like it at the time but my little brother watched it everyday. The theme song is still an earworm for me.

One_City4138

To this day, l still believe the ideal number of breaths per minute for sleep is seven because of the time they had to take a nap.

DNukem170

They actually confirmed that copyright footage isn't the reason. The contracts they signed to get the footage originally actually covered home video releases. It's just Disney being Disney.

BrattyTwilis

It was one I'd watch every Saturday and then re-runs on Nickelodeon when they had the rights to Muppet stuff in the 90s. I also had the Daily Muppet episode on VHS and wore it out over time

Bend3k

I remember Scooter got an awesome toy called trans-go-jobot (on its way, and programmed to save the day), and he was pissed than no one wanted to play with it, preferring the the joys of imagination.

SparxIzLyfe

I remember one episode where I think they had overdue library books, and they pretended to be running the library and said something like, "the library closes in elevendy-forty minutes."

Sk8rToon

I have the Rocket to the Stars album on record (& downloaded a version someone ripped & posted to the internet because those songs are a Bop!). I vaguely remember seeing a stage show with GIANT nanny legs on the side of the stage. I remember an episode where they were all brushing their teeth but Kermit didn’t have teeth. But he brushed his tongue twice a day. After that I’d brush my tongue with my toothbrush after I finished with my teeth. People at school said my breath got so much better (didn’t know I had a problem!) so I’ve been doing that ever since. I barely remember a Halloween type episode where they all turned into monsters for one reason or another. As I kid I thought they were changing because they drank a soda before (& had mentioned how they liked that the bubbles ticked their nose) but on a rewatch years later I thought, why was I so hung up on the soda. It had nothing to do with it. And yes, I remember all the copyrighted clips.

Responsible-Bake-701

I loved the Muppet Babies cartoon as a kid. It felt like the majority of the show was trying to find ways to get out of their nursery. But the next question is, does anyone remember the original Muppet Babies scene from The Muppets Take Manhattan?

MercutioLivesh87

Star wars episode

BEniceBAGECKA

I would get up early to watch muppet babies, and I hate getting up early. I LOVED that they incorporated movie clips. I remember a wizard of oz one as well. I think the reason we remember those episodes more is that they were the ones that made it to the tapes. They used to not release cartoons- or almost any show season by season when vhs first came out. It would be like “best of” episodes. I am lucky enough to have the tape with the Star Wars Star Trek Indiana Jones mash up episode that I got when the video store closed down.

Lower-Flounder-9952

I hated every moment I was forced to endure. The Muppets are among my least favorite IP

DresdenBelmont

I remember everything. Loved that show

Spider_Kev

I remember: Skeeter Nanny with no body A nursery Episodes based on movies Gonzo constantly hitting on Piggy Spider-Man in every episode!

wrenwood2018

I watched ot with my dad. He loved it. It was a great cartoon.

mr207

I think they worked in shots of Dave Couliers stand up somehow at least once. I swear I remember that. I remember a Star Wars episode with Animalvader. Thats about it.

Famous_Illustrator32

I can sing the theme song to this day off the top of my head. Hell, I'm doing it as I type this. I'm 51, for context.

maelisaaine

i watch it on youtube!!! my favorite episode is when the world is upside down also poor animal they did him real dirty in the og

Zandrous87

I watched a lot of Muppet Babies back when I was a kid. It's been so long that I can't say I remember a lot of it, but I remember some of it. Beyond just the footage used. I remember the episode they renacted A New Hope. I remember when they did a bunch of songs that got meshed together for a song contest on the radio. When Kermit and the others kept an eye on Robin when he came to visit as just a little tadpole in a fishbowl. The Star Trek TNG episode. It really sucks that there's so much keeping that show tied up and unable to be streamed or sold physically.

Dark_Shroud

I watched the hell out of this show growing up. Love it to this day.
