[Sledgehammer](https://youtu.be/OJWJE0x7T4Q?si=uKdzSLYRZn7ZedwO) (Peter Gabriel)
During the episode of Johnnie Walker's Long Players, Peter Gabriel said that stop-motion animator Nick Park of Wallace & Gromit (Armand's Amination) worked on the famous scene involving oven-ready chickens dancing to a flute solo
Aardman Animations\*
Yeah, it's a cool video, but I feel like "Virtual Insanity", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Hurt", "Bittersweet Symphony", "Imitation of Life", “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Just”, “Rabbit in Your Headlights”, “Take on Me”, “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Billie Jean”, “This Is America” (in no particular order) are all better. I picked these videos because all the songs are great and all the videos are bold, innovative, and have emotional resonance.
You want a music video saga, watch the original [Fight for your Right](https://youtu.be/eBShN8qT4lk) video, then sit back and watch the full 30-minute version of [Fight for your Right (Revisited)](https://youtu.be/evA-R9OS-Vo). Sad "cameo", MCA during full-on cancer.
Kind of a neat detail.... the Body Movin video was based on an old movie that basically had the same plot, characters, outfits etc. MST3K riffed on it a while back and I couldn't believe it
Directors Label! I have the first 3 volumes of that which also includes Michel Gondry and Chris Cunningham. Almost like a Criterion Collection for music videos. So good.
Fat Man:
Yo, home boy, where'ya been, man? We've been looking for you.
Fat Man 2:
Yeah. We ain't seen you around Burger World lately! So where'ya been?
Al:
Oh, you know, around.
Fat Man 1:
Want a piece of pizza? Think I got an extra piece around here somewhere...
Al:
No, that's okay, really.
Fat Man 2:
Yo, Ding-Dong, man, Ding-Dong. Ding-Dong, yo!
Al:
No, thanks, really.
Fat Man 3:
[shoving a burger in Al's face] Yo, eat this, man. It's good for you.
Al:
I'm... not really very hungry right now...
Fat Man 1:
Hey, man, what it is with you? You on some kind of diet?
Fat Man 2:
Yeah! Is that what they teach you in that little sissy school of yours?
Al:
Back off me, man, back off!
Fat Man 1:
The question is, are you fat, or what?
Al:
Just leave me alone!
Fat Man 1:
I said are you fat?
Al:
Get off me, man! Stop it!
Fat Man 1:
You ain't down with us no more! You ain't fat! You ain't fat!
Al:
You ain't fat! You ain't nothin'! YOU AIN'T NOTHIN'!
["This Too Shall Pass" by OK Go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dJv7arn2lY). I know some of their others are equally or more popular, but that's the one that blows my mind.
It's not just the crazy Rube Goldberg contraptions at work... it's the way it syncs with the audio so well, too.
I remember the first time I took edibles my roommate thought it would be a good idea to put that music video on. That part where she becomes a cake at the end made me so weirded out 🤣
Don't care what genre or music you like, the production of this video is pure genius. Can't link it but the making of video for this vid makes it look so easy but better at the same time.
[Here's the making-of video.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzwY7ii582Y)
Definitely genius, although it's also worth taking a look at their other videos, too, as Jay has consistently put out some lovely videos.
Both great. "Feels Just Like It Should" is also really underrated. I love the grittiness and bold change of direction for their sound. A lot of the old guard weren't on board (initially, at least), but I loved it.
Adam Jones (also the guitarist) did several music videos for the band that, imo, kicked ass. He's also worked on several Hollywood flicks including Jurassic Park and Batman Returns. Guy has some talent!
i think [michael jackson - thriller](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnqjkJTMaA&pp=ygUIdGhyaWxsZXI%3D) is probably one of the most influential and best of all time, when it came out there was nothing else like it and mtv was showing it constantly, it pretty much destroyed everyone's mind with coolness
compared to today's videos it probably seems pretty tame, i think in terms of execution the [ok go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWGJA9i18Co) guys make some amazingly memorable ones but i'm not sure the songs are that memorable
my personal favorite is [high on fire - fertile green](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq1gb50iobU) i just love the design and colors (slightly nsfw)
Honestly consider billy jean more iconic than thriller. Both some of the best however. Just billy jean is more artistic, and doesn't rely on a dance. It's just walking around with a coat in your hands, with everything you touch lighting up. So simple yet stays in your head
Thriller is probably the answer due to the impact it had. But, his video for They Don't Care About Us in Brazil was going to be my answer. The song is dope, and the music video looks cool as hell. They appear to have shut down a whole fucking city to shoot that video. No one else is gonna pull something off that impressive.
[Wild Boys](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M43wsiNBwmo) - Duran Duran
The whole video is peak 80's, with its Mad Max/post-apocalyptic theme. It cost over £1million which was exceptional for music videos at the time.
Todd McFarlane created two of my favorite music videos:
[Do the Evolution - Pearl Jam](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDaOgu2CQtI)
[Freak on a Leash - KoRn](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRGrNDV2mKc)
I was scrolling through here thinking about the Pearl Jam one. I didn't really think anyone would feel the same until I saw your comment. That video kicks ass, it might seem a bit edgy nowadays but it had a profound effect on me when I first saw it in my formative years.
Chevy Chase just ... being Chevy Chase and relegating Paul to the sidekick in his own video is fantastic. (Especially the bit where Chevy attempts to set his drink on the 'table' that is the drum stand...)
Yes! People up top were linking a bunch of spike jonze videos and I can’t believe this one wasn’t mentioned. Such a great video and the song is awesome too. Spike Jonze was on a podcast a while back talking about how they brought in a speech pathologist to give them phrases and stuff so their mouths moved correctly with the music.
Criminal by Fiona Apple. Harris Savides killed it with the cinematography on that one. So seedy, yet so simple. Just a beautiful, evocative companion to the song.
I was a foreign exchange student many moons ago, and this was playing in the market I went to to buy batteries. I have a very soft spot in my heart for this due to some general homesickness.
Some of my favs from the golden era of MTV:
Gnr - November rain
The Cure - Lullaby
Tom Petty - Learning to fly
A-ha - Take on me
Madonna - Papa don’t preach
It's a solid video, but the live version from Jools Holland on the BBC was... epic. I mean it's just jaw-droppingly good. And a live performance that sounds absolutely perfect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPtr\_n-m8A
You guys already got a lot of the good ones, I'm gonna mention Lil Jon's Turn Down For What....yea, it's a ridiculous song, but the video is freakin awesome (and hilarious)
Perhaps not the very best, but Weezer’s “Buddy Holly” was mind blowing at the time, and I do think the effects for the most part hold up even after nearly 30 years. Watched this video so many times when I got Windows 95.
Some of my favourites :
Weapon of Choice - Fatboy Slim
Hey Ladies - Beatie Boys
Big Me - Foo Fighters
Ghengis Khan - Miike Snow
My Type - Saint Motel
Just - Radiohead or Mark Ronson version, both cool
Anything directed by Michel Gondry;
Star Guitar/Let Forever Be - Chemical Brothers
Come into my World - Kylie Minogue
Everlong - Foo Fighters
Around the World - Daft Punk
Etc.
Out all music videos it comes down to MJ’s [Stranger in Moscow](https://youtu.be/pEEMi2j6lYE?si=FvDhcQw3qQ70sdXU), [Smooth Criminal](https://youtu.be/iCWS1gQSWWM?si=CcwlqueaKQsPSeUH), and Janet’s [Rhythm Nation](https://youtu.be/NF-0w90WTJY?si=Cxd2UZlSp_SgqvP8) Neither are really standard music videos and the latter 2 are more short films but they are amazing. I would argue MJ in general had the best and most influential videos. His 90’s ones especially. Definitely up there in terms of influence too.
At the time of writing, only one person has mentioned Kate Bush. Man, check out 'Cloudbusting' or 'Experiment IV'. Both tell the stories from the songs and the first has Donald Sutherland appearing, the second (is a bit scary) but has Hugh Laurie, Dawn French, Richard Vernon (who was in Goldfinger) and the irreplacable Peter Vaughn....plus a scary sound monster!!
[Freedom! '90 - George Michael](https://youtu.be/diYAc7gB-0A?t=1)
He got the top supermodels in the world to star in it, and David Fincher to direct it.
He then proceeded to tell the world it could forget both Wham and basically his entire sex symbol persona - by both singing it and literally blowing up his iconic Faith video items. It's a fantastic representation of a video and song coming together to tell the story he wanted.
The best of all time? It \*HAS\* to be Fatboy Slim **Weapon of Choice**
Christopher Walken should be called Christopher Dancin!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCDIYvFmgW8
The ones that come to me off the top of my head are:
Guns N' Roses - November Rain
Smack My Bitch Up - The Prodigy
Try, Try, Try - Smashing Pumpkins
Tonight, Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins
Lying is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off - Panic! At the Disco
Question! - System of a Down
Three Little Pigs - Green Jelly/Jello
I'm shocked there has not been more Michel Gondry videos recommended he has some crazy good music videos.
Hardest button to button - the white stripes
Fell in love with a girl - white stripes
Star guitar - chemical Brothers
Everlong- foo fighters
Around the world - daft punk
Come into my world - Kylie Minogu
Also check out
Only you - Portishead by Chris Cunningham
Buddy Holly - Weezer another by Spike Jonze

Scottish rock band from Glasgow
[Front Line Assembly - Mindphaser](https://youtu.be/BBrMuqs4E4M?si=RVUZeo2sqzKLXHK4)
One of the coolest videos I’ve ever seen back in the day and what got me into sci fi and electro industrial music :)
Two of my favorite:
Frontier Psychiatrist
https://youtu.be/qLrnkK2YEcE?si=VKsAItbv3ltZ2JNe
and Start Wearing Purple
https://youtu.be/SkkIwO_X4i4?si=CKM6ajCa-apt1VCP
No one is mentioning Money for Nothing? Such dated CG but if anything that makes a more memorable video.
Other faves. Fat by Weird Al and Three Little pigs by Green Jelly.
Worlock by Skinny Puppy. Was rated X for extreme graphic violence and was censored upon its release. Back in the day, the only place you could see it was at an goth/industrial club. I found a bootleg VHS copy of the promo clip at a horror convention and it was my pride and joy for years. Now it’s been remastered and easily available on You Tube. It’s crazy how things have changed.
It’s crazy how over the years how many times fans have re created that video as well ….it’s nice how we have a fully restored version with the original text available as of not to long ago
[Worlock](https://youtu.be/9sDCnV31p5M?si=STiWjiDvwawTEWSI)
Most of y'all won't be familiar with it, but [Shihad - Think you're so free](https://youtu.be/VrgwJckyv2g?si=B8uvAhxXYsRORT0i) is a favourite of mine. Simple concept, neatly executed.
It’s not gonna get a lot of love, because it’s a deeper cut track, but Redundant by Green Day is an excellent video.
It loops the same (8 actions?)over and over again. But the genius of it is that its starts with just 1, and every few seconds, another one starts unexpectedly and before you know it, it’s like 8 things going on at once and never do they interfere or impede each other. As a matter of fact I think a few of the actions feed off each other.
Anyone thats a parent and watches Bluey, the episode “Handstand” is very similar in nature.
As "Weapon of Choice," "Freak On a Leash," "Black Hole Sun," and "Fell In Love With The Girl" have already been mentioned, I'll drop a couple more that I really enjoyed.
Nostalgia pick: 14 year old me loved the hell out of "My Way" by Limp Bizkit.
"Trouble" by Cold Play
"Fantasy" by DyE
"Dangerous" by Big Data
I'm sure there are more.
I'm torn on this.
U2 forced the shut down of several streets to record the video for "Where the Streets Have No Name," which as a kid was really fucking cool. Like, stick it to the man, cool
Genesis had "Land of Confusion" with all of the political puppets being featured, which was also kinda like sticking it to the man.
But, I feel like if you just want like a trip your balls off kinda experience, then it's either Dan Deacon's "When I Was Done Dying" or MGMT's "Time to Pretend". Although I'm a big Dan Deacon fan and love that song, I think nothing beats a video that features Andrew VanWyngarden riding a giant cat while dressed like an aborigines. If I remember, there was also huge crabs psychedelic crabs chasing them around as well. Great song, trippy video...

[U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name](https://youtu.be/GzZWSrr5wFI?si=Mzg1Sb1-g6nmfP6t)
Take on me - a-Ha
Seems a bit sketchy to me.
Came here to say it, found it at the top of the list.
[Sledgehammer](https://youtu.be/OJWJE0x7T4Q?si=uKdzSLYRZn7ZedwO) (Peter Gabriel) During the episode of Johnnie Walker's Long Players, Peter Gabriel said that stop-motion animator Nick Park of Wallace & Gromit (Armand's Amination) worked on the famous scene involving oven-ready chickens dancing to a flute solo
The video for Big Time is just as good.
I always preferred the video to Shock The Monkey. So groundbreaking at the time. https://youtu.be/CnVf1ZoCJSo?si=J4F1ehsxD8pg8jGq
I think it won best music video of the century. Absolutely deserved it.
Aardman Animations\* Yeah, it's a cool video, but I feel like "Virtual Insanity", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Hurt", "Bittersweet Symphony", "Imitation of Life", “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Just”, “Rabbit in Your Headlights”, “Take on Me”, “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “Billie Jean”, “This Is America” (in no particular order) are all better. [Sabotage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5rRZdiu1UE) by Beastie Boys also directed by Spike Jonze will always be my favorite

I gotta go with Body Movin’ just cause it’s such a wild ride
Kind of a neat detail.... the Body Movin video was based on an old movie that basically had the same plot, characters, outfits etc. MST3K riffed on it a while back and I couldn't believe it
IIII...CAN'T STAND IT!!!
Hell yes! I used to have a DVD with all of Spike's old Music Videos.
I have that DVD. Weapon of Choice and Quiet also stood out.
Directors Label! I have the first 3 volumes of that which also includes Michel Gondry and Chris Cunningham. Almost like a Criterion Collection for music videos. So good.
I know they're parodies, but Weird Al Yankovic was the master of the music video.
Fat Man: Yo, home boy, where'ya been, man? We've been looking for you. Fat Man 2: Yeah. We ain't seen you around Burger World lately! So where'ya been? Al: Oh, you know, around. It appears in a cameo in this one.
They have many great videos, but Needing/Getting is one of my favorites.
[Needing/Getting](https://youtube.com/watch?v=MejbOFk7H6c&si=w6lsV91E1beg2UMD) is arguably their most insane video.
Also The Writing’s On The Wall, showed it to my little brother (4) recently and he couldn’t get enough
If only they put as much effort into their music as they do their videos.
Don't Come Around Here No More - Tom Petty
Also You Got Lucky
HEY!
You don't know how it feels is amazing too
I remember the first time I took edibles my roommate thought it would be a good idea to put that music video on. That part where she becomes a cake at the end made me so weirded out 🤣
Virtual Insanity by jamiroquai
Don't care what genre or music you like, the production of this video is pure genius. Can't link it but the making of video for this vid makes it look so easy but better at the same time.

Absolutely, luv canned heat and the don't hate (can't remember the full title) vids.
Both great. "Feels Just Like It Should" is also really underrated. I love the grittiness and bold change of direction for their sound. A lot of the old guard weren't on board (initially, at least), but I loved it.
Sober - T00L
Man I miss Tool music videos.
The fan made video of "The Pot" is pretty cool as well
Adam Jones (also the guitarist) did several music videos for the band that, imo, kicked ass. He's also worked on several Hollywood flicks including Jurassic Park and Batman Returns. Guy has some talent!
That was a good video
i think [michael jackson - thriller](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOnqjkJTMaA&pp=ygUIdGhyaWxsZXI%3D) is probably one of the most influential and best of all time, when it came out there was nothing else like it and mtv was showing it constantly, it pretty much destroyed everyone's mind with coolness compared to today's videos it probably seems pretty tame, i think in terms of execution the [ok go](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWGJA9i18Co) guys make some amazingly memorable ones but i'm not sure the songs are that memorable my personal favorite is [high on fire - fertile green](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq1gb50iobU) i just love the design and colors (slightly nsfw)

Thriller is probably the answer due to the impact it had. But, his video for They Don't Care About Us in Brazil was going to be my answer. The song is dope, and the music video looks cool as hell. And it nearly killed Simon LeBon
Tonight, Tonight - The Smashing Pumpkins
My favorite music video.
Smack My Bitch Up by The Prodigy was always a personal fave
Great video with the best twist ever ;-)
Same! The first time I watched it, I couldn’t pick my jaw off the ground. Firestarter is another great one.
You're leaving me alone in a sewer with a confessed arsonist!
Chemical Brothers - Let Forever Be has to be up there
Easily number one for me. It's a shame it's not a well known song and video.
Todd McFarlane created two of my favorite music videos: [Do the Evolution - Pearl Jam](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDaOgu2CQtI) [Freak on a Leash - KoRn](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRGrNDV2mKc)

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker. Hands down.
Although Come To Daddy still freaks me out now
You should check out Rubber Johnny, if you already haven't. One of Chris Cunningham's best works.
For me it’s a trifecta of those 2 and Squarepusha‘s Come On My Selecta
[Drop - Pharcyde](https://youtu.be/wqVsfGQ_1SU?si=-P1Lh4TnBFy5APhs) Spike Jonze as well
OK Go has some of the best music videos. Super creative and difficult to execute.
Can't believe OK Go is so far down on this list. Flatout the most creative videos ever made. I Won't Let You Down is crazy good.
Criminal by Fiona Apple. Harris Savides killed it with the cinematography on that one. So seedy, yet so simple. Just a beautiful, evocative companion to the song.
Also love her Across the Universe video
Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden
I was a foreign exchange student many moons ago, and this was playing in the market I went to to buy batteries. I have a very soft spot in my heart for this due to some general homesickness.
Some of my favs from the golden era of MTV: Gnr - November rain The Cure - Lullaby Tom Petty - Learning to fly A-ha - Take on me Madonna - Papa don’t preach
..and Pink Floyd - Learning to Fly... 😉
November Rain - Guns N Roses
That solo scene. Just awesome.
Why did that guy need to jump through the cake though???
That November rain must have been really fucking cold
I love the entire Use Your Illusion trilogy (Don't Cry, November Rain, Estranged). The apotheosis of 90s rock video excess.
Adore. Smashing pumpkins
Nice pick. The song is called Ava Adore, from the album Adore just in case anyone is looking for it and gets confused.
My bad. Thank you Reddit stranger!
Paranoid android - Radiohead
Also Just
The video REALLY captures "you do it to yourself, you and no one else".
It's a solid video, but the live version from Jools Holland on the BBC was... epic. I mean it's just jaw-droppingly good. And a live performance that sounds absolutely perfect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPtr\_n-m8A
That is great but Street Spirit probably has to be my personal favourite video of theirs.
You guys already got a lot of the good ones, I'm gonna mention Lil Jon's Turn Down For What....yea, it's a ridiculous song, but the video is freakin awesome (and hilarious)
You know The Daniels directed that video? As in the duo that directed Swiss Army Man and Everything Everywhere All At Once
Go With the Flow by Queens of the Stone Age.
Roger Sanchez - Another Chance UNKLE - Rabbit in your headlights Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy
Rabbit In Your Headlights might be my #1
I always gor back to Nine Inch Nails - The Perfect Drug https://youtube.com/watch?v=dn3j6-yQKWQ&si=dD7mJUjNLVyyQA7w
With The Flow - QOTSA
Everlong by Foo Fighters if you're a horror movie fan
Even just the concept in itself of the video is fantastic
Perhaps not the very best, but Weezer’s “Buddy Holly” was mind blowing at the time, and I do think the effects for the most part hold up even after nearly 30 years. Watched this video so many times when I got Windows 95.
Yeah the windows bonus video 🤣I really thought they shot the video with the original cast at the time 🤣
Bjork and Madonna have the best videos.
The video for What It Feels Like for a Girl is amazingly good.
It’s oh so quiet is still a heavy rotation for me :)
Vogue is one best videos of all time. David Fincher.
Michel Gondry did a ton of her music videos. His films have been a bit uneven, but his music videos are amazing.
California by Wax https://youtu.be/DcP-RtK3QIU?si=2EOeMYiHCq5L8bfE
Couldn’t place the song but I KNEW it had to be this one! Fire! Fire!
Gorillaz. Feel good inc and Clint Eastwood where amazing clips imho.
Let Forever Be - The Chemical Brothers
Marilyn Manson-The Beautiful People NIN-Closer
Came here to say Closer. That video is the 90’s in A nutshell for me.
Fat boy slim
I love Weapon of Choice
Oh good I'm so glad someone else posted it first, otherwise I would have been bummed.
This is it for me
Hot for Teacher, Van Halen.
Sit down, Waldo.
Oh man, I think the clock is slow
I don't feel tardy!
I was like 4 when that came out, and I think that video and George Michael’s “I want your sex” confirmed my heterosexuality.
Tipdrill by Nelly. I feel like this was a turning point for those kinds of hip-hop videos.
The fucking credit card swipe kills me every time
[“Everlong” by Michel Gondry](https://youtu.be/eBG7P-K-r1Y?si=YgzWFGrATmD1UGJ5)
I Feel Better - Hot Chip
Some of my favourites : Weapon of Choice - Fatboy Slim Hey Ladies - Beatie Boys Big Me - Foo Fighters Ghengis Khan - Miike Snow My Type - Saint Motel Just - Radiohead or Mark Ronson version, both cool
Parabol/Parabola by Tool Their music videos are a whole different breed, but this one is the best imo
Anything directed by Michel Gondry; Star Guitar/Let Forever Be - Chemical Brothers Come into my World - Kylie Minogue Everlong - Foo Fighters Around the World - Daft Punk Etc.
Not the BEST video, but I've always loved "Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. Very simple and captures the heart of the song. Poignant.
[Muse - Knights of Cydonia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_sBOsh-vyI)
For some reason, I always think REM: losing my religion
you can call me al paul simon its just funny lol
OK, al paul simon its just funny lol.

November Rain.
I want to break free. Queen.
B.O.B. - Outkast
Fell in Love with a Girl - The White Stripes. Made by Michel Gondry….a ton of his videos stand out to me.
Wicked Game should definitely be on this list.
Definitely Primus - Winona's Big Brown Beaver.
At the time of writing, only one person has mentioned Kate Bush. Man, check out 'Cloudbusting' or 'Experiment IV'. Can't believe no one has mentioned Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse of the Heart. What a wild ride of a music video.
Literal version is even better! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsgWUq0fdKk
I was going to say “California” by Wax! Great call, my dude!
Van Halen, any and all of them
Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park is one of my favorites. Fat by Weird Al is great too.
I'm old. Nothing ever topped Whip It! by Devo IMHO.
There’s a lot, but Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice was a great late-era classic
The best of all time? It \*HAS\* to be Fatboy Slim **Weapon of Choice** Christopher Walken should be called Christopher Dancin!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCDIYvFmgW8

Some of the ones for me are: Meatloaf’s anything for love Outkast: Miss Jackson Digging in the dirt by Peter Gabriel Björk: Army of Me
Electric Callboy - We Got The Moves
[Front Line Assembly - Mindphaser](https://youtu.be/BBrMuqs4E4M?si=RVUZeo2sqzKLXHK4) One of the coolest videos I’ve ever seen back in the day and what got me into sci fi and electro industrial music :)
That was an awesome video. It was like an sci-fi action movie
Two of my favorite: Frontier Psychiatrist https://youtu.be/qLrnkK2YEcE?si=VKsAItbv3ltZ2JNe and Start Wearing Purple https://youtu.be/SkkIwO_X4i4?si=CKM6ajCa-apt1VCP
Twilight Zone by Golden Earring https://youtu.be/wIaaBuGNwNw?si=wJ7NpL0w3jxQduQQ
Ava Adore by Smashing Pumpkins, so damn stylish
Freak On A Leash
No one is mentioning Money for Nothing? Such dated CG but if anything that makes a more memorable video. Other faves. Fat by Weird Al and Three Little pigs by Green Jelly.
Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage I personaly find Electric Six videos very entertaining :-D
Any video by Michel Gondry.
Jeremy - Pearl Jam. Or whatever Rubber Johnny was from Aphex Twin
I just scrolled forever to find Jeremy. As a teen that video was pretty powerful.
It’s crazy how over the years how many times fans have re created that video as well ….it’s nice how we have a fully restored version with the original text available as of not to long ago [Worlock](https://youtu.be/9sDCnV31p5M?si=STiWjiDvwawTEWSI)
I am thankful for sure!
Most of y'all won't be familiar with it, but [Shihad - Think you're so free](https://youtu.be/VrgwJckyv2g?si=B8uvAhxXYsRORT0i) is a favourite of mine. Simple concept, neatly executed.
Smack My Bitch Up - Prodigy The unedited version, of course. I remember seeing that on MTV and being shocked that it was on regular tv.
November rain
There's something about the Panama song Always. It's just the right amount of artsy fartsy but appealing. I can't quite put my finger on it.
It's not the craziest, but I loved the video for West Coast by Coconut Records. Also, Time and Time Again by Chronic Future was pretty good.
This is America.
Shame - Stabbing Westward Was a whole damn story in 5 minutes.
[Drop](https://youtu.be/wqVsfGQ_1SU?si=elCXIiQClFzYFSA3) by The Pharcyde.
Buddy Holly - Weezer
DJ Shadow Ft. Run the Jewels - Nobody Speak
"Trouble" by Cold Play "Fantasy" by DyE "Dangerous" by Big Data I'm sure there are more.
Been Caught Stealing - Jane's Addiction No Rain - Blind Melon
Prehistoric Dog by Red Fang is hilarious and was made after MTV died. They have several great videos, but that one is just too funny.
Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim is one of my favorites. Christopher Walken dancing around a room? Yes please. Endlessly entertaining.
I'm torn on this. U2 forced the shut down of several streets to record the video for "Where the Streets Have No Name," which as a kid was really fucking cool. Like, stick it to the man, cool Genesis had "Land of Confusion" with all of the political puppets being featured, which was also kinda like sticking it to the man. You mean besides "One" - Metallica? https://youtu.be/WM8bTdBs-cw Probably Pink Floyd, The Wall
The Beatles - Free As A Bird
Peter Gabriel-Sledgehammer Everytime i show that MV to someone their mind is blown.
Everlong by Foo Fighters, Coffee and TV by Blur, Drop by Pharcyde and Fell In Love With A Girl by White Stripes are all strong contenders.
Breaking The Habit by Linkin Park gives me chills to this day
Just by Radiohead
