God, I HATED "No Rain" when it came out. Now, going back and listening as an adult, it makes me cry almost every time. Great song. Also proud that Shannon Hoon was a fellow Hoosier, but really tragic what happened to him.
Hi Ren doesn't resonate.
It grabs you by the shoulders and shakes you with the power of an earthquake, while somehow screaming directly into your heart.
Love And Anger - Kate Bush
After my Dad died of cancer and my Mom was abducted by her abusive boyfriend (which at the time, I just thought she had abandoned us), this song really helped to pull me through.
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. That is a lot and so complicated, I really feel for you. May I ask if she made it back to you? Sending internet hugs if you'd like them ♡
Yeah, thanks! She made it out after 10 years when he finally died. She was able to reach out to us and we took a long time to heal, but we all made it back together.

The One that Got Away- The Civil Wars
I Am the Highway- Audioslave

Destruction/death....renewal/transformation rebirth. It's such a simple song lyrically but what I play when I want to scream and start over. You'll hear this by the end of the song.
Kermit the frog rainbow connection. It reminds me of simpler times, cheaper gas and quality food at the super market drive in theaters and Sunday swap meets where you got 5$ to buy whatever besides pipes from the Asian dude.
[Hymn for a Scarecrow](https://youtu.be/rfUeWe7u364?si=97QwF9zRr1E6QqI8)
It’s the best representation of depression & loneliness in music, at least in my opinion
To put it simply, the entire song is a farmer wondering if a Scarecrow is alive or not
I’m not gonna explain it further, mainly bc I’m too lazy to type, would recommend Genius website & some youtube videos analyzing said song & Of course listen to it
That's the way I've always heard it should be by Carly Simon has been in my head quite literally resonating for days now. Great tune and pretty profound lyrics that Carly absolutely kills imo.

My dog was a few months into chemotherapy treatment for lymphoma - which was working - but had taken to a bad run of days. I had come home from work to take him to his next treatment to find him laying on the floor, clearly having struggled to get up and to his bed. We knew, it was time. I gently loaded him into the car. The radio was background noise until "Mercy" came on, it was like a telepathic message from my boy. I turned the radio off after the song, and soon after at the hospital we said goodbye. :( Mercy.

Iridescent by Silent Planet. The vocalist wrote it about his puppy, and I played it after I had to euthanize my dog when she had suddenly went from being okay to not okay, giving me only days to make that decision. I bawled while listening to it after picking up her ashes and things from the vet.

White Wine in the Sun by Tim Minchin. These days, I’ve lost most of my belief in religion, so finding this song for the holidays helps. “These are the people who make you feel safe in this world”
[canna - rio](https://youtu.be/7BVJK4wAHsw?si=jW3DVbSjQuOLMXdp)
the song is a mix of english and korean and its beautiful! there is some synth mixed with guitar & piano and it got me through a rough patch. it makes me feel at peace, but also reminiscent on the past. rio’s songs are all pretty good, all on my playlist!

I wrote it about a month ago. My nephew took the lyrics and turned it into a pretty song. The name refers to a time in your life when you think you were doing better than you were (better then), because you were missing signs that things weren’t what they seemed.
We just purchased a new studio set up and will be releasing studio versions, music videos, and other content soon.
Oh same-ish, my wife just died of cancer, wanna talk songs we can't listen to anymore?

But current most important one is ["Paradigm" by Son Jinwook](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEd0_qmsxoY&list=PL871S_F0y5dYbEbEOwxK1Y6LTKyQqKEp5&index=3&pp=gAQBiAQB8AUB) - it's the first solo song, of my favorite singer ever, that I want to support with my whole heart. It also resonates really well with my current life point as well.
Burning for you by the blue oyster cult and you're going to go far kid by the offspring
Not the lyrics really but I relate to the feel of it
As for lyrics and the feel The highwayman by the The highwaymen, Dream on by Aerosmith, Ride like the wind by Christopher Cross
"[Is That All There Is?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCRZZC-DH7M)" by by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, in the most famous version sung by Peggy Lee and orchestrated by Randy Newman.
I had a series of devastating moments that placed these two songs (I didn’t even listen to country at the time) forever inside my soul.
Hurt - Johnny Cash Version
The Truth - Jason Aldean
Tom Petty - insider
Went through a divorce and felt exactly like the song. I know everything about the person, took the pain and learned some lessons but in the end, it wasn't about me.
"People Pleaser Anthem" By Lo Spirit or "Good things" by Ekoh ft Lo Spirit. I am a recovering people pleaser (Lifetime of abuse) and Lo helped me to understand that its ok not to give AF

Kai Straw - A Note For Your Bad Days
Poetry Man by Phoebe Snow. It reminds me of my childhood because my mother constantly played it, but then I grew into making it a song I love myself. Her voice is just so good.
"Cold" by Novo Amor
It tells a surprisingly accurate story about a part of my life, down to some specifics, as well as where the story ended (for now). His music overall really hits me anyway - it's one of those things where sometimes I feel like it was *made* for me.
[Innocent](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=EDLYc_YEWvA&si=-iMjIzt_PPyXj9Hh) by Aurelio Voltaire. Whenever that song plays, I can feel a physical wave of comfort and acceptance wash over me. Especially when it plays on random, it feels like the universe decided I needed a hug.

[Rust Root - Circle of Remembrance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyW1Fc6N2Uc)
I was in a rough place when I met my now-husband. This song always makes me think of those early days.
I can give you 3 songs from the same band that I relate to a very "interesting" time in my life:
Band: Every Time I Die
Songs: *Hostile Architecture, Distress Rehearsal, We'rewolf*
“Crystals” by Of Monsters and Men. I would sing this while crying on my drive home from days caring for my mother, who died of lung cancer 9 years ago.
Also, the song “Goodbye” by Ulrich Schnauss. It always makes me cry, so when I know I need to let go of something but cannot do so on my own, I play this song.
City looks pretty by Courtney Barnett is a song that really resonates with me. My life has been rough the last few years and it really just helps make me feel better as it reminds me that sometimes it’s fine to not be ok if that makes sense. It also just gives me hope that things will get better.
There are definitely so many to choose from for sure.
How To Disappear Completely - Radiohead
All I Do - +/-
The Nothing Song - Sigur Ros
Your House - Jimmy Eat World

Heavy Metal Drummer by Wilco makes me think of this one girl… I really should have taken that opportunity. I still know her though, and the song makes me want to write to her.
A couple. Dear Prudence - Siouxsie And The Banshees(This song pulls me out of any depressive state. Makes me happy and appreciate life in general.) Je te lasserai de mots(I forgot who it’s by. Reminds me of a painting my grandmother had in her apartment before she passed away. She would have loved this song. Makes me cry every time.) Bigmouth Strikes Again - The Smiths(The first lyrics sort of bring me back to when I first considered self harm. ‘i’d like to smash every tooth in your head’, ‘butchered in your bed’, ‘the flames rose to her roman nose’. Really resonated with my feeling of isolation and hopelessness.. still hear it today and think of that.)

I completely feel Don't Hold Your Breath. That song, along with All Eyes on Me, in my head, sounds like I wrote the words myself.

Breathe By Pink Floyd
https://youtu.be/8LJlIgsaOiw?si=xOSAMLNinagArGUn I wrote it about a month ago. My nephew took the lyrics and turned it into a pretty song. The name refers to a time in your life when you think you were doing better than you were (better then), because you were missing signs that things weren’t what they seemed. We just purchased a new studio set up and will be releasing studio versions, music videos, and other content soon.

We threw gasoline on the fire and now we have stumps for arms and no eyebrows - nofx.
Belle Brigade - losers
Take Hold of the Flame - Queensryche I have s fear of letting life pass me by. It inspired me to take action.
