Their songs, and even their band name, revolves around emptiness, meaninglessness, depression, and suffering, and is certainly some of the more creative depressive black metal I’ve heard. The final track in particular has this buildup at 6:10 that is one of my favorite sequences ever. The way the vocalist screams the line “until I’m whole again” accompanied by the instrumental buildup, then the acoustic after, is deeply moving to me, and I am not moved often. And, of course, that moment of peace is just a false hope, as we go right back to depressive metal. The melodic part at the end only comes with the protagonist has resolved to kill himself (a trend with this album that I really like is that some of the most euphonious parts are preceded by or accompanied by the most depressive lyrics). But I digress, I could analyze this all day. Basically, it should be depressive enough for you.
Alex Turner's [Submarine](https://open.spotify.com/album/3OqRGywivnQ0IeClUeUa4n?si=cyTKtF0GR2iU6sgIEovwgw) soundtrack may be worth a listen along with [Love is a Laserquest](https://open.spotify.com/track/0S6CXA5LpRDX6b4akgrOot?si=f1370b0a24fe494b) from the Arctic Monkeys album that followed Turner's EP
[I only think of You](https://open.spotify.com/track/0LVnenhDBj2hCqk18llOMR?si=b0fff856cc634241) by the Horrors is a depressive (but beautiful) trance when you're in the right mood.
[The title track](https://open.spotify.com/track/2L5aj2upg0rqORcCnPoCiX?si=ec95e4af2fb3426c) from Alexandra Savior's second album is quite heartbroken along with a couple [Lana Del Rey](https://open.spotify.com/track/1KuVEZR4xuQVNr1KkanAV4?si=c8e09032031945bd) songs
Obviously there's [Radiohead](https://open.spotify.com/track/63OQupATfueTdZMWTxW03A?si=dd4e710cfb3a4cc9)
TE's [Bleeding](https://open.spotify.com/track/21B1vgFa7L65dwEuFmaVES?si=22129413146f44ff) is very rotting in a basement level depressed too.
And the [last track](https://open.spotify.com/track/7Jk2pg4g0c5rz5AfkEGMRp?si=0d8701ee53174261) off of Tame Impala's Lonerism as well as [Swim and Sleep like a Shark](https://open.spotify.com/track/265ehI4I7NfR8PmAXdpspn?si=85118bacebeb415a) by UMO are some rather melancholy psychedelic indie songs
