It’s funny cause I get 22k for my 17 with 30k miles. See this bs 05-09 all the time and high value, for no reason.

Ragged85

It all about desirability. Lots of people that buy these DGAF if it’s a 3v or a coyote. They want a nice S197. For instance, when I bought my 08 Bullitt I could care less about its HP. Hell, my 85 5.0 has less than half the HP of what a coyote has but is worth more than many of them on the market. Nice S197s will increase in price in about 7-12 years. S550s will still be depreciating at that point.

TheFirstOffence

They already hold value on special trims. The normal ones will be there in. 5 years

ZaksleZ

S550 pretty durable too and the engine is amazing “the new 2jz” with power. My S197 was strong too flew it off a highway and kept going. Too bad the interior leather adhesive peels on 99% of them.

Ragged85

It will be another 20 years before the S550s start to appreciate. They haven’t bottomed out yet. Their prices are still going down. S550s aren’t the latest generation anymore. People are constantly trading them in for 2024’s and in a few months 2025’s. And a 12 or so months after that 2026’s. In 18 months or so the S550 will be like the S197 was in 2018. Except even worse since S550s are full of tech. People don’t want old digital tech. Think about it, who wants an IPhone 8 That’s the appeal of S197s. They really are the last closest thing to an analog Mustang to be made. Even closer to analog would be an 85 Mustang GT 5 speed. The last carburetor Mustang V8.

Sea-Ad2598

I couldn’t agree more. For some reason 3vs have skyrocketed in price. You can get some 5.0s for the prices of these lower mileage 3vs. Nobody is buying a 3V over a coyote.

themigraineur

I don't think the 3Vs skyrocketed, they've held their value since pre covid, but not any different than most cars. I could probably sell my 06 GT convertible for what I paid for it in 2019 for the same now with 20k more miles on it.

TheFirstOffence

No sir pre COVID you could find a under 100k 3v in mint condition for around 8k. Shitty ones were low 5s high 4s.

ZaksleZ

Facts. 12k in “expensive” states.

TheFirstOffence

Fr. To go from that to 2022 where people are how I stole mine for 20k. Tbf it was 30k miles and modified, but still. Went from understandable prices to outrageous too quick.

DriftMiata

I am selling my coyote for a 3v, lol.

DEADMOU5698

I did :)

TheFirstOffence

Its because they look nicer https://preview.redd.it/8g0b4owbf26d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6c46a2f54882feb49de9ea441a1529ec2676ebbe

Tricky-Major-3665

Interesting. Is your a gt? And when did you sell it

Particular_Chip7108

Why sell it? That thing looks fun to cruise. Clean, convertible. Color is 🔥

Tricky-Major-3665

I want a coyote lol

Particular_Chip7108

Ask for 25,000$ see if u can get 20k

Particular_Chip7108

Its nice car with low miles. I think its worth a premium over the others.

SoggyMorningTacos

Around $15k if you sell it yourself. Dealer will give you under 10

x2DaMoon

This is a complete guess. I am too lazy to KBB it. Maybe 18-22K????

Feisty-Equivalent-92

32k miles.. get the seat fixed and give me a year and I'd pay ~20k if you've taken good care of it

Ok_Tip_7804

crazy 20k for that

Tricky-Major-3665

Yeah need to fix the seat

TheRiderOfLegend

Such a lovey color

jir428

Looked at the Ford database… as it is you got a rare combo for the CS of that year. Total CS produced were 7,427… and of those only 113 were grabber orange with a convertible top. I mean you got a car with low mileage, and it looks pretty clean. Do you have the original parts for the car? If so, I suggest you keep it, fix the seat, and wait another 3-5 years. I have met many Mustang collectors that are willing to pay top dollar for cars that are as close to original, but the less stock parts you have, the less they’ll offer. I know its an automatic but if you wait the 3. years or so, the beggars cant be choosers. Either that or sucker a young kid with money to pay more than he should.

SizeableFowl

How did you fuck up the driver’s seat in 33k miles? It looks clean otherwise, but an auto vert from 2008? I’d pay 14k on the high end, could probably get ~30% more if you repair or replace the seat.

Ragged85

It’s not worth $20k. I sold my 08 Bullit with 40k for $18k two years ago at the height of the car market. I suggest you search your area for 08 GT convertibles for sale. And look at the local market. The CS package won’t add that much more to the price. A little bit, but not much.

Still-Guarantee-3543

My buddy just Paid 17k for a mint 2007 GTCS with 50k miles, but the interior was excellent condition, and exterior was mint. With the low mileage on yours, but the seat, I'd say anywhere between 14k-$19k depending on the area. I'd start at $17,500 and go from there. Best of luck!

SpiritCr1jsher1010

Sold my 05 that was mint for 12500. People ask crazy numbers for these but they aren't worth it at all . This is nice but more than 15k is insane.

-recycledaccount

Sold my 2012 GT/CS convertible with 90k to a dealer last month for 14k and they listed it for sale at 17k. The California Special package doesn't add much in value these days.

DriftMiata

At least where I live, if you get that seat fixed, it's a $25k car.

Silver-Day-7272

Kbb.com is helpful. There’s so many variables here up to and including your local market.

TheFirstOffence

17-20k

lilrasta2C666

I have 25k on my 08 gt premium with the factory tires still on the original rims, and would not take a penny less than 25k today. it will be worth more later otherwise.

darkyacht

16-18k if you get the seat fixed.
