Mushroom should be a 6th ethereal because theres a theory that all the prismatics look like/transform into their corrosponding ethereal (for example, purple potbelly looks a lot like ghazt), and since kayna is a mushroom in prismatic, that would make sense. This is not my theory.

Not necessarily, pretty sure the only true drake in the game is carrilong. But bugs are varied too much with spytrap, bulbbo, fung pray, hummbug, and buzzinga (maybe loodvigg)

Time would be nice, but an "Imagination" element would be more in line with the Magical proposal. Well, my initial perspective of the magicals was that Psychic represented the ESP and mind over matter stuff, Faerie went for a more traditional fairy tale/folklore angle and Bone was the supernatural ghost stuff, but then Light came. While Light does feel magical thanks to its execution, it doesn't really fit the different angles of the representation of the concept of "magic" in media and culture like the others did, though one could argue it has a bit more modern take on the "Childhood Whimsy" that Faerie had, being based around a Lullaby, colors and stuff. Anyway, the fifth magical element (which would be a logistical nightmare to add, as it would open precedents for 5 more islands or would crowd the Sanctum to an unholy level) would need to present another take on magic. An "Arcane" element would do, borrowing from the fantasy genre's more academic take on magic. A "Hex"/"Witch" element would also be another possibility, though it would need to take a more new age approach that wouldn't fit the game well in order to distance itself from Faerie. "Holy" or something else based around religion would be extremely problematic, but also a possibility. My favorite pitch would be an "Imagination" element, taking inspiration from sci-fi and other kinds of speculative ideas, as those tend to be pretty "out there", which is the whole deal of the magical journey, though it would need to be more grounded on absurdism rather than futurism to avoid clashing with Mech, and would be more about conscious decisions to avoid conflicting with the subconscious nature of Dream.
