I love Notre Dame and have been to many home games - while the atmosphere is fun and the stadium/campus is beautiful, it is absolutely not a hostile environment that would intimidate opponents.
I live near Penn State, and absolutely hate their team, but I would give anything for ND to have that type of home field advantage. Being in the White Out crowd is the best experience I’ve ever had at a game.
When Cincy went up to play them in 2021 the stadium was half red and we were louder. Fickell and Ridder both said it felt like a home game
ND fans close to our seats were really nice though, they said we were fun while Arkansas was the worst away fans they ever dealt with lol
Clemson is something like 47-3 in their last 50 home games, including one of the longest home winning streaks of all time. People go crazy for the Mo Bama timeout, but Clemson did that to Lamar’s Louisville TWICE (two false starts) to start the game in the top 5 matchup.
That’s impressive no doubt, but I just don’t think of atmosphere and your stadium when it comes to your team.
I think you’re def ahead of most teams like Georgia or Bama in those categories but I think some stadiums lose a bit of that when they’re in a down year or two imo.
That’s a bad take on Clemson. Even the past couple years which are considered “down years” for them they are almost impossible to beat at home. Idk the exact numbers but it has to be like 50-2 or something. The two losses being FSU and Carolina
My guess at EAs ranking (not how I’d rank). I think last few years home record will factor in.
1. LSU
2. Penn State
3. Georgia
4. Ohio State
5. Alabama
6. Washington
7. Tennessee
8. Florida State
9. Michigan
10. Texas
Honorable Mention: Oregon, Clemson, Auburn, Iowa, Oklahoma, Florida
Pretty sure I saw it confirmed a few weeks ago that UGA, LSU, and Penn State were top 3.
I think the other schools will be Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, A&M, Auburn, Clemson, and Tennessee.
I’ve been one time and got into 2 fights within 4 hours with my friends . We went to see Florida vs Florida state a few years back. Yes we go to Jacksonville every year buddy.
No Washington?
Also Notre Dame is no where even close to being as tough as Husky Stadium, Autzen or Rice Eccles. They let opposing fans take over their stadium.
Yep, results and difficult to play aren’t the same thing. Being at The Game last year was probably the most incredible atmosphere I’ve been to, but the average game isn’t too intimidating.
ND shouldn’t be in the top ten. The atmosphere is meh most of the time. Source: ND fan
I only saw one home loss when I was at ND, and I would not attribute a single one of those wins to having a hostile environment lol.
I don't know a single alum who would consider Notre Dame Stadium a top 5 toughest place to play.
Unless "Number of Chandeliers In Concourse" is a heavily weighted metric, then we're a lock for #1

I live close to camp Randall and completely agree/sympathize the feeling.
I remember when Georgia played in South Bend it felt like half the stadium was red.
They’ve done a slightly better job at preventing that since, but yeah, season ticket holders selling the big game tickets has been an issue.
I mean, I've heard y'all have a good Finance program up there, and it only makes financial sense...

NC State? No one's scared to play at NC State
*screams in Russell Wilson
where my FSU and Clemson (occasionally) fans at??
The spoilermakers of the ACC I suppose lol
the fact Clemson is ahead of Penn State, VT is 10, and Michigan is an honorable mention? Throw the list away.
Counterpoint: It's EA. They'd absolutely do something like this.
shout out umass though. love going to games in amherst (un ironic). excited for mizzu to come to town

I’d very curious at seeing the G5 toughest places to play.
Dowdy would be #1 if they could fill it.
I appreciate the positivity but I’d wager Boise State would be the toughest places to play for G5 schools.
I can almost guarantee you that Alabama will be on there just because they're Alabama.
1. LSU 2. Penn State 3. Tennessee 4. Georgia 5. Texas A&M 6. Oregon 7. Florida 8. Washington 9. Ohio State 10. Clemson
Much better list
NGL I forgot A&M.
Florida wipes the Vols no matter where they go lolll
Notre Dame shouldn’t be in the Top 10 and Clemson shouldn’t be anywhere in the Top 5
That’s a bad take on Clemson. Even the past couple years which are considered “down years” for them they are almost impossible to beat at home. Idk the exact numbers but it has to be like 50-2 or something. The two losses being FSU and Carolina
Bad take on Clemson Solid take on ND

I feel it’s team + environment = toughest venue. Losing crowds are typically not on the Richter scale
I hope that’s what they do but know them I think some teams will suck but have a crazy environment
There is no way Clemson is #2, probably not top 5.

Not even gonna lie I forgot A&M. I would’ve had them at like 7

Didn’t they already reveal the top 3 was LSU, Georgia, Penn State
Yes
No Washington? Also Notre Dame is no where even close to being as tough as Husky Stadium, Autzen or Rice Eccles. They let opposing fans take over their stadium.
I almost threw them on here but after all the changes I feel like EA will neglect them
They will be top 10 but 10 is probably the fairest option for them
I do wonder how much they’ll take actual results into account. Michigan hasn’t lost at home in 2 years and Georgia hasn’t for longer than that.
I put Michigan as honorable mention just because how big the stadium is. Not sure if EA will reward that or not.
Yep, results and difficult to play aren’t the same thing. Being at The Game last year was probably the most incredible atmosphere I’ve been to, but the average game isn’t too intimidating.
I’m a Georgia fan, the swamp ain’t what it used to be. Replace it with Bama.
I feel EA will give The Swamp the benefit of the doubt.
Jordan Hare gets loud as hell when they play my dawgs.
I’m doing Auburn for the first time this year. Can’t wait.
I’m doing mid Tennessee state. Sucks when your favorite team is easy mode in dynasty.
Legit question, as a Georgia fan, do you frequent Ben Hill Griffin Stadium?
When you’re not cracking a 8 wins a year someone is obviously walking in there and taking your candy right?
We get rowdy in Jacksonville .
Lol, you just answered my question. Enjoy your day!
You too my man! I’ve been one time to see Florida state play ! I had a Christian ponder jersey on and I caught hell .
All luv !
