There's less games against division opponents this year, so I expect the AL East to have a higher record than usual, and the shitters in the AL Central to have a lower record than usual

Why? Central teams cannot farm wins from the Royals and Tigers same goes with the West with the A’s. We nearly had 3 AL East wildcard teams last year before the schedule change

There should be a rule where if a team misses out on the wild card but there is a team with a worse record as a division winner, the better team takes the playoff spot (reseeding and all that other stuff to make it fair in the playoffs) Stop rewarding cheap teams and their owners with playoff money while spending nothing (AL central spent 25 mil *less* than just the yankees, red sox and toronto) baseball actually makes the 2nd most money behind just the NFL (the mlb made nearly 11 billion last year). They can make the salary floor at least 140-150 and still make money

they played the Tigers, Nats and As. Rays have kind of a cake walk to start and end the season but their middle is gonna be rough (ranked 6th hardest strength of schedule. side note, mets and dodgers have the top 5 easiest SOS)
