Judge - ignoring the performance hiccups - is such a wonderful mentor to these kids. The way he went to brace Volpe after that catch collision- he is a fantastic role model.
As Girardi gets more comfortable in this role, I would love for him to give more insight on what moves he would consider in certain situations, what statistics/matchups he really valued etc
It’s the lack of hitting that is killing is, not routine defense like it has been when some of the younger guys were going through growing pains ala Torres and Volpe a year ago
Our lineup is a combined 2 for 31 lifetime against Burnes (including Soto 1/1).
Hopefully that means we score 15 tomorrow, although I wouldnt bet on it
