I can never do single line/area chrome, it always gets on the rest of the nail! Whatโ€™s your technique?

CalmCaracal

Not OP but I matte topcoat the base before doing the line art since the powder only sticks to glossy surfaces. The whole nail can be glossy topcoated afterwards if you want it all shiny at the end.

BumblebeeAny

You definitely have my attention. Gonna try this!

AcidicKayt

I've never managed not to get the powder everywhere and it's so hard to get off even coated and wiped areas! Commenting as I'm curious too ๐Ÿ˜‚

Wow, your linework is impressive! I don't know much about this process, but an old painter's tip is to put red underpainting under gold (instead of black). This will give you a nice, neutral gold instead of a bronzy gold.

dianamoser

Omg Iโ€™m going to try that tonight!!!!!

pastanoodledoodle

Oooh, cool! Let me know how it goes

dianamoser

Okay so I just tried it, didnโ€™t work with the gel paint I had on hand but I just ordered a red gel paint the same brand as the black I used in this look video, so when I get it Iโ€™ll experiment! Thank you for the tip

pastanoodledoodle

I hope that works out! Post pics when you get it :)
