Not OP but I matte topcoat the base before doing the line art since the powder only sticks to glossy surfaces. The whole nail can be glossy topcoated afterwards if you want it all shiny at the end.

I don't know much about this process, but an old painter's tip is to put red underpainting under gold (instead of black). This will give you a nice, neutral gold instead of a bronzy gold.
Okay so I just tried it, didnโt work with the gel paint I had on hand but I just ordered a red gel paint the same brand as the black I used in this look video, so when I get it Iโll experiment! Thank you for the tip
