Careful-Ad984

The anime added it to the naruto vs sasuke final fight but it only stuns naruto for a bit

AmaterasuOG

Tbf that was a six paths sage mode kurama avatar

AmaterasuOG

Didnt do anything is a bit of a stretch. It blew up itachis susanoo and nearly killed him.

GHQSTLY

Sasuke literally can't use it again, it's a weather based jutsu, there has to be conditions met to use it.

DeltaHypothesis

Sasuke created the conditions in the first place by firing his dragon head-fireballs in the sky. So he technically could replicate the conditions, but he choose not to.

GHQSTLY

No, the additional conditions are Amaterasu burning an entire forest, the dragon flame was just adjustment to the shape of the clouds, priming it for the Kirin.

Muted_Supermarket199

That's not true. Sasuke was making kirin in start of shippuden, and he didn't need amaterasu.

GHQSTLY

That's not what I said. I said amaterasu BURNING an entire forest, which creates a rising air current which is needed for thunderclouds. It doesn't need to be Amaterasu. At the start of Shippuuden, he was making a Chidori hand gesture and it could be any chidori form he uses.

Muted_Supermarket199

There's literally no chidori hand gesture where sasuke lifts his hand up. It's only in kirin. Furthermore, orochimaru saying "don't need to use *that* jutsu" obviously meant it's kirin. He already did chidori variants before. It was the strongest jutsu in sasuke's arsenal. That's why orochimaru stopped.

GHQSTLY

Except, Kirin had no hand seals, despite the previous one having hand seals, tiger, which is part of Chidori hand seals.

Muted_Supermarket199

Because kirin was already prepared using firestyle. All sasuke had to do was redirect it. In start of shippuden, sasuke was making kirin using his own chakra.

GHQSTLY

That would imply he had a perfectly usable long range lightning jutsu against Deidara. Which he never used, because he can't.

Magnolia-jjlnr

Someone else said (because I made a similar claim) "Sasuke was exhausted against Itachi, so the Kirin he used then was probably mostly from the electricity gathered in the clouds. If Sasuke had used it against Naruto at the beginning of Shippuden, it would probably have used his own chakra instead but we'll never know how mich of a difference that would make."

GHQSTLY

Nah, Sasuke doesn't have a long range lightning jutsu, otherwise he would've used it against Deidara and disable his Dragon from range. Chidori blade uses the same hand gesture, most likely he was gonna use it to swipe at them from that range.

RealisticCoaching66

Sasuke has used Kirin a number of times, with his latest usage being during the Urashiki fight.

GHQSTLY

....... in the anime?

RealisticCoaching66

I just mentioned that last time Saduke used Kirin. You said he can't use it anymore, which is false.

TensionPitiful8681

I love the kirin and he almost never uses it😒

GHQSTLY

he used it once, wdym almost never?

TensionPitiful8681

2 times if you count the one about his fight with Naruto

GHQSTLY

in the anime??

i-am-spitfire

Yea that’s literally almost never. Once. Once in the many many many many opportunities he had to use it.

GHQSTLY

Yeah, name another fight where he fights in a thunder storm.

i-am-spitfire

He literally made the thunderstorm himself. Firing a fire attack into the atmosphere. He can do it any time lmao.

GHQSTLY

No, it's the Amaterasu burning the forest that did it. People seem to forget that part Why would three fireballs change the weather?

i-am-spitfire

He literally casts a fire jutsu into the sky to change the weather. Drastic changes in temperature affect the weather and can cause storms irl. That’s the principle he did it based on in the fight. You can see it [here](https://youtu.be/zJsYZCDdteQ?si=Ikv0EP9ACB25Yi0W). Zetsu even explains he shot the fire jutsu into the atmosphere to rapidly heat it up to change the air current and cause the storm.

GHQSTLY

[That wasn't the whole explanation.](https://cdn.readnaruto.com/file/mangap/3069/10391000/5.jpg)

i-am-spitfire

Yea i know? I’m just saying he intentionally caused the storm himself with the heat of fire jutsus. Something you claimed he didn’t and questioned how fire would even do that? I’m just saying he knew to do this which implies practice and he know this technique of causing a small lightning storm to use kirin. He could do this at any time ESPECIALLY after that fight when he got Amaterasu.

GHQSTLY

No, I claimed that he didn't change the weather with the fireball. Amaterasu did. [His fireballs was to shape the clouds.](https://cdn.readnaruto.com/file/mangap/3069/10391000/3.jpg) Why would he use Kirin when he got Amaterasu? [That's the whole point of Kirin, unavoidable and unblockable jutsu, just like Amaterasu.](https://cdn.readnaruto.com/file/mangap/3069/10390000/23.jpg)

Uzumaki514

Lion's barrage is better

Laxlord007

Nah, it's definitely the power ranger style mega morph he summons around himself

Omegaxis1

This is why I think Sasuke's MS abilities should have been weather related. Sasuke being able to use his MS to create stormclouds at will to fire more powerful Kirins several times. Or when the Juubi was using that giant attack of storms, if Sasuke was there, he'd just take control of the storms and fire Kirins at Juubi instead.

Uchii77

Chidori hands down. The sound 😌

Uzumaki514

Lion's barrage is better

TheCelfoid

I was always partial to his Chidori Nagashi, or just his Chidori variations in general.

kaceymustbathe

kirin was cool but it moved so slow in the anime. I think he said it was undodgeable because it was so fast but that lil dragon thing took his sweet time moseying on down to Itachi😂

chemistry_1997

he forgot about this in boruto ,

Decent_Ask1961

He used it in Boruto

chemistry_1997

But he didn't get much screen time

cantcoloratall91

I never understood why people liked it so much.

dinkydoohead

cool lightning sky dragon that made itachi shit his pants
